Peregrine Senior Living

We moved my mother in quickly after the hospital told us she could no longer live alone. They have been so great, helpful and accommodating. They have simply gone out of their way to help my mom adjust and to make it as snotty a transition as possible as well as calming our fears. I highly recommend Peregrines! We are very pleased with them.

I can’t say enough about the kind, caring, attentive and knowledgeable staff at Peregrine. The level of personalized attention and dignity afforded every resident is incomparable. Over the past several years we have entrusted our parents’ care to a total of five area facilities—independent living, assisted living, rehab and memory care — all five-star rated. Peregrine is exceptional.

This is a great place for anyone struggling with dementia. The staff are warm and friendly and its a brand new place and clean every time my wife and I visit. The past 6 months have been great for my Mom and she is much happier now. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for care of a family member.

I visit 2-3 times per week, and in this time, I have found the staff to be a caring and patient group of people that give my mom the attention she needs, and treat her as they would their own family. My mother has always been a "foodie" and she praises the dining experience! The food is sincerely top notch. The medical staff is responsive and will call with concerns and information promptly. The facility is very clean with a nice layout, secure outside areas, and beautiful birds in an indoor living area to watch at your leisure. Overall, my mom and I are both quite happy where she is, and I would highly recommend Peregrine in Colonie to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones to reside with peace of mind.

It went so well that we are taking mom there to be a resident of their memory care on Friday.

I absolutely love Peregrine assisted living. My father-in-law lives there and I can’t say enough good things about our experience there. The staff is excellent. Whenever I go for a visit, everyone there is so happy, friendly, and caring. They really do treat the residents like they’re family. The food smells delicious, and the dining staff work very hard to accommodate my father in law, who can be picky. They have a lot of activities including outings, live entertainment, and games. They also have a pot belly pig, two bunnies, and an aviary that the residents can visit. My father loves to visit Wilber the pig. The community is nicely decorated and clean. I have yet to notice any smells. My father-in-law’s room is always tidy, and his laundry is always neatly hung or folded. I would absolutely recommend this community to others. It is excellent.

My mom is doing really well here and I like that she is able to be a part of the activities and field trips with the other residents. The staff in the Memory Care are great with her they make sure that she stays busy and she likes going down to the dining room as well. I would definitely recommend this community as the staff really care here.

My sibling is very happy here. The people in the Assisted Living are very nice, the facility is great and everybody on the staff is very residential-oriented. They are very quick when responding to a cord being pull by a resident. They have 2 private chefs, almost culinary chefs. The price was way less than the minimum price being upstate. The facility is great and they treat everyone like family. The only tip I can give is, Assisted Living facilities will only do what is instructed on the discharge paperwork. Ensure that all doctor orders are written or clearly stated in any discharge or paperwork.

Atria Crossgate is nice because it is all one level and everyone is friendly. My mom is doing well in her apt. The dining area is really nice and my mom says the food is edible, she likes my wife's cooking better. They do offer a lot of activities, games, they read books to them, and my mother is starting to join in. There is also transportation for the residents to doctors, shopping and outing to the mall and other outside activities. I definitely recommend the Atria Crossgate to family and friends.

Very nice place offering many ammenities and activities. It was clean, nicely decorated, friendly staff, bustling with activity, and had a positive vibe.

I love this community for what they are able to do for the care of my relative. The staff is outstanding and caring. This community is always clean and has a nice environment. I am very happy to know that he is eating a lot and likes the meals that are healthy. He is enjoying a lot of the activities that are offered and likes making new friends. We would highly recommend the care and the value of this community to other families.

While my husband was there, the staff were good, my husband really liked it there. They have an amazing program for their residents with dementia. The only thing is that they do not have rails by the beds, so my husband fell and was not able to go back.

The tour went well. Colleen was very accommodating and gave us a thorough tour, including lunch. I left with a full picture of the facility and it looks like a good option for my sister.

The staff at the Atria could not be better. They are very nice and seem to really like their jobs. You can tell when the management is good in a place because the employees really show it through positivity. I had a loved one in the Atria before when they were under other management and it was not the same. My loved one is happy there and the place is very nice and clean at all times.

Everybody in this community is so glowing. We are thrilled with the services and care that mom is receiving. Everyone is just so nice and caring. The food is great and mom has actually gained weight. Which is what we wanted mom also has started getting back to her old self.

My wife's overall condition has improved significantly in the 5 weeks she has been at Atria. This includes her behavior, ability to feed herself (she has even gained 4 lbs), recognition, and ability to communicate more effectively ! The staff is truly amazing- wonderfully caring yet completely professional in every respect. I couldn't be more pleased and happy !

The Athenaeum is the best assisted living facility in all of Central New York. Everyone is so nice and they provide excellent care. It is a sad day when a loved one can no longer live in their own home. The Athenaeum will make you feel so much better about this difficult move. Take a tour and check out this wonderful facility.

We have not had any complaints about this place so far. The aides are very good with mom and they have been getting her up and involved with the activities. Mom likes the food and the dining experience.
