If the resident is at risk of falling out of bed, ask if a bedside floor pad is allowed. I was told that I was not allowed to purchase one because they are a "tripping hazard" and my husband, did indeed fall out of bed and spent a lengthy time in the hospital after hitting his head. I found out later, that a number of residents at Victoria Court did have bedside floor pads, but I was told that I could not have one! I also had problems with staff losing laundry. But overall, the care that the staff gave to my husband was excellent even though he had aggressive moments! They knew how to handle him and he adapted well! Nursing staff were excellent! But I sometimes did have trouble reaching Administration and my calls were often not returned. My husband was content there, even though his preference was to come home. He became a two-person-assist, so he was not allowed to return after his hospital stay, since it was an Assistant Living Facility!

The staff has been nothing short of amazing… friendly, helpful, engaging, accommodating. The facilities have been well maintained and the food has been surprisingly good overall. Plenty of daily activities directed by an incredibly, upbeat and pleasant woman. As we all know, memory care is expensive, but relatively speaking SVMC has been a good value. Strong recommendation!

I am a minister that visits this community to pray for the residents. My observation regarding the residents, the staff and the whole place is outstanding. The residents are always clean and very well taken care of, the staff are very loving and attentive to the residents The over all rating for the facility is immaculate I would recommend this place to any family that is looking for memory care

It took us a long time to get things done but we wrote a letter to the owners In India and got it all done. Things we like most about the community are the activities, friends and the food. There are studios, 1 bedroom,2 bedroom really big. Would of liked the location more centralized.

All of the living units are in one story, detached homes. There are no high-rise apartments. The feeling is that of a little village rather than a big facility. The activities are impressive, despite having less physical offerings that larger facilities might have, su- ch as Pickleball courts or big gyms or swimming pools or things of that nature. Both staff and residents are extremely friendly and welcoming. The whole place has a nice field to it.

This is a lovely and welcoming community. Although they were going through a renovation at the time of my visit, one could still see a warm and clean community, well maintained and nicely decorated to make the seniors feel comfortable. The community offers continued care, whenever needed, a variety of activities and events inside and out of the community to help them feel engaged and give them opportunities to socialize. Although there are set times for chef prepared meals, there is always food available if needed. Other amenities include a hair and nail salon, movie theater, library and entertainment. The staff I met during my tour seemed very nice and invested in taking good care of all in need.

I have been a resident for 6 months. Food is good. cottage is clean and staff is friendly and helpful.

We have good care and very good response/attention when needed. An all are very friendly all of the time. It is a great atmosphere to reside in.

Our tour was wonderful, the grounds, building and rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The director was very knowledgeable and very helpful, She walked us through the process and helped us make a choice that was very difficult very easy and comfortable. Our parents are moving in approximately 2 weeks from our tour.

What stood out the most was the Great personal care and concern. Business office somewhat difficult to deal with. [name removed] was the only person who solved my concerns with money issues.

They are all very accommodating and willing to do what they can to make you comfortable. The maintenance team is responsive and timely. They have a transport bus that is helpful for doctor's appointments and outings at no charge. We have a great event coordinator and there's always something to do. Live music, painting, needle point, bingo etc. They plan weekly trips to local stores and restaurants. You can be as busy as you want to be. Diner offers two special choices which is nice for lunch and dinner plus a daily menu items. Servers are very accommodating and friendly and we eat off real plates, silverware and cloth napkins...no paper plates. They are also pet friendly and I have my cat, Eleanor here with me. That was very important to me.

The activities has been keeping my loved ones engaged. We love the fact that they put a ton of effort into each activity. Even the field trips sound like a ton of fun. We are excited to see what is next.

She has an amazing ability to connect with each resident, tailoring activities to their interests and needs, which has given my mother a renewed sense of purpose and joy. Thanks to [name removed], my mom is now excited about activities she never would have imagined participating in before from arts and crafts to group outings. It’s clear that [name removed] genuinely cares, and her personal touch has made a world of difference in my mother’s wellbeing. The entire staff at Cottages at Riverside is equally amazing, providing a warm, welcoming environment where my mother feels truly at home.

Excellent service!! I loved the activities!! 100% recommend!! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and attentive to every detail, which made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. Every interaction felt personal and genuine — you can tell they truly care about providing a memorable experience. The activities were absolutely amazing! There was such a wide variety, and each one was thoughtfully organized and executed. Whether it was relaxing or more adventurous, there was something for everyone. I especially loved how engaging and fun everything was — I found myself smiling and laughing nonstop! It was clear that a lot of effort went into planning each experience, and it really showed in the level of enjoyment we all felt. Great facility for your loved ones. Management cares as do the care staff. I've been to many facility and nothing compares.

Took my friend to tour here, great vibe from the get go. Impressive tour and guide. Nice looking rooms, large and practical. Love the garden and sitting areas spread throughout. Lovely pool and library, lovely people and happy looking residents. My friend has a lot to think about and she’s having trouble thinking and deciding and I am just trying to give her time and space to choose for herself for the best long term outcome

The staff is just outstanding over period. I have nothing bad to say or complain during my few months starting on [date removed]. My daughter feels the same way. She is in the health business in the UK and knows this type of business inside out. In addition, I am a retired senior special agent with 36 years of experience as a criminal investigator with the U.S. Treasure Department and 32 years total service between the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force Reserve as a Special Agent with the Office Special Investigations. I know when things are not, that's the bottom line. I have no issues here at all!
