I had a good tour at the community with a good guide. I am sure it's a good place and fine but I felt that it was not going to be a good fit. I got the feeling they were not as qualified to provide the needs for my dad.

I am happy to see that my aunt is happy at this community. She is really likes the staff who are very helpful with her needs. They do offer her activities, but she is not participating at this time. We would recommend this for also being so clean and well taken care of. I would recommend this community to other families for great care.

The Pacifica Senior Living Forest Trace is a very nice community. The place is very bright and has a positive atmosphere we liked everything about it. If it wasn't for the price we would have gone with this community instead.

[Removed] was very helpful and the interior of the facility was very nice and clean.

My father was in this facility & I feel the staff were very caring & attentive to his needs. He always looked clean & well groomed, and the staff treated him kindly.

I was not able to take a tour of the community, but [Removed] was super helpful. She answered all my questions and let me know what they had to offer. I liked the professionalism that they had with me. I would have went here.

We really liked this community, but dad said no because his apartment would be way to far to walk to the dining hall and the common areas. He just would not get the human interaction that we were looking for.

I have a lovely tour of this community. I wanted a place where I can still have some of my privacy, but I have access to help if I needed it. The tour guide was very informative and helpful. All my questions were answered. This community has friendly atmosphere. They treated me very well, it was a pleasant experience.

Our visit to this community was great, my loved one and I have no complaints about our tour that we took. I enjoyed the floor plan and the spacious hallways. The food they where cooking smelled fresh and they offered a great activity program. It was just not the right fit for my mother but overall I have no complaints

Bixby Knolls Towers in Long Beach was one of a few places that we looked at for independent living situations. I was not able to go the first time with my dad to Bixby Knolls Towers, but my niece's experience with her grandfather was wonderful. In fact, they offered a two night three day free experience at the facility which my dad used. He had an accident there, no fault of the facility, but before he left he wanted to make sure he had an application to Bixby Knolls Towers for their Independent Living tower. The marketing manager is amazing!! She has kept me informed of processes, I am in Texas, and this is in California. She suggested a moving company who knows the ins and outs of moving into this facility. They were good and worked well with my brothers and niece. I made a visit out to see my dad moved in and I could see that he was "at home" in this apartment, rather than rattling around in his large home alone. He is 95 years old and had lived in his house for 63 years. This same manager has answered any questions I have had even now after they have my dad as a resident. It was less than three months from the time he looked at the facility to the time he was relocated. And this was his idea! He doesn't participate in many activities and that is why I gave that part a good as opposed to great. We have been pleased to tell anyone who has asked about Bixby Knolls Towers in glowing terms. I hope that my dad will be able to live long in his new home. He still cooks his breakfast for himself when he feels like it or goes to play golf, but he is happy that there are three meals a day available. He has his laundry done and is pleased with the cleaning of the apartment, bed changing and the linens provided. We have been blessed to have found this jewel. It is a little older than the others we looked at, but that also made the space and cost better than the newer places.

We had pleasant tour of this community. Everything went very well. The staff showed us all around the community. From what I saw everything looked well-kept. The staff I came across was very kind and courteous. I liked this community, but it wasn't the one for us.

My loved one is doing pretty well here at this community. I know he is safe and being cared for very well. They do a good job his personal care, he always looks good. They are taking very good of him and his needs. The staff is great. Some days are better than others, but so everything is well. This is a good community, and everybody has been very kind.

The people here are super nice. However, the main problem was that they did not take good care of the residents very well. They seemed to not have enough staff to accommodate all there residents and there needs. Although, the aides did seem to have a really good rapport with the residents.

I would have to say that I am very, very satisfied with the people that work here. They are really loving and cares for my loved one. I like how they have a small community so that my loved one feels like it is home. The only thing that bothers me is that it looks like they are changing a lot of the staff. I would also like to see them offer more activities that are active to get the residents up and moving.

My mom is starting to get comfortable with her environment and doing as best as she can. The meals are pretty good and she enjoys it. In the beginning she did not participate but tomorrow she is going out to dinner and Wal-Mart. We are happy with this.

We love the "Cottages"at this facility and the attention to detail and care from the cottage personnel.When we call to check up on our loved one,the care giver are all very forthcoming patient and understanding.

A beautiful setting. We loved the little cottages and the intimate feel of them - only 17 residents in each! Food was OK. Rooms were smallish but had everything you would need. Not kept up as well as it could be (stains on chair seats, etc.). Kitchen in the cottage we visited was nice and clean - residents can keep food in them.

Good hearted people with highly active staff comprise the soul of this collective garden situated, cottage-based, community of seniors. The setting appealed to my 91 y/o mom. The activities director Elliot was a very over-the-top facilitator of joy and great ideas and she immediately felt at home with his spirit. My mom's 1-bedroom room in the memory care cottage is new, nicely spacious and clean. She immediately made friends with a buddy resident. Thanks to Brookdale for the very hard work of Kenny and Theresa. They helped us during our crisis and did their level best to help us apply for the bridge loan.

We are looking forward to the move-in this coming week. So, we have not been able to experience "living" at Brookdale North, as yet. My experience so far in dealing with the staff is excellent - warm, friendly, accommodating, informative, available, responsive. The cottage living appears to lend itself to independence with close and thoughtful neighbors to help watch out and lend a hand. The slated community activities seem to be fun and diverse. The dining room is warm and inviting with a daily changing menu. I will be delighted to review again in a month to address the other areas of the review once my friend is there and acclimated.

The staff have all been wonderful to my loved one, they go above and beyond to accommodate her needs. The dinning room is spacious and she has had no complaints about the food they provide. I am overall very happy with her new living arrangements and would absolutely recommend this place.
