Pacifica Senior Living

My loved one recently moved into Leisure Pointe. He loves this community. The food is great and the staff is very considerate. They even deliver his lunch to him when he has dialysis. He is enjoying the balcony in his unit and has nothing negative to say about the place. They do allow pets which is a great thing. Everyone there is very nice and they do have transportation for the residents.

The care at the Pacifica Senior Living is fantastic. The Head Nurse and Director have bent over backwards for my mom. The staff are great and she is getting plenty of personal attention. The food is good, mom is gaining weight. The have all sorts of activities and she had fun doing zumba for the first time. The Pacifica is a single story community with grass and trees. The other nice thing, though small then residencies are set up like casitas not apartments.

We love it there. The staff, the whole setup, just everything, and they made it so easy for her to adapt. I am beyond happy. We really like the secure environment of the cottage settings. There is always someone there that checks on them. Patty Roach is such a nice lady that goes above and beyond, and even met us on a Sunday to visit, and pretty much held our hand every step. The location was convenient to me. The staff is pretty enthusiastic and always happy. She likes the food okay, but they have a lot of hot dogs. The big meal seems to be at lunch time. The rooms are clean and they make sure they are showered. The people in the cottages are placed according to functionality, which is nice. It's like a big family, everyone is so nice, and genuine.

There are many things I like about Pacifica for my Mom. The fact that she can walk all over the grounds, that she has the same caregiver during the week and that they are very attentive to her needs. She has only been there a little over a week but is adjusting much faster than I would have thought was possible. That she is with those who are on the same level as she is makes it easy for her to make new friends. The staff has been very helpful and I'm also impressed that the few times I have been there, the Director of the facility has dropped in several times. She has her finger on the pulse of the community, I like that. So over all I'm very pleased with the new home for Mom.

Great place. Moving my mother from a place that was not-so-great, to this is like Heaven. Amazing staff and nurses that really care very much, and are on top of EVERY aspect of care! Their contact with family is spot on also, and nothing overlooked. Very thorough in all categories. They make sure the residents are well taken care of, and have fun also.

I toured this facility when I was looking into care options for a loved one. I thought this place looked very nice overall, and I'm sure it would have satisfied our care needs just fine! The facility itself was nice looking, and the staff all seemed very friendly. We ended up selecting a different facility that was a little closer to home, but this place is definitely worth a look if you are searching for senior care in the area!

Following a stroke and hospitalization, we needed to relocate our mom fairly quickly. The staff at the Towers was very friendly and informative when we met. They showed us the assisted living apartments available and helped assist us in getting the necessary paper work and medical information together quickly. They also coordinated with the staff at the rehab facility at the hospital mom was leaving. Assisting us in identifying a mover to move in mom's furniture was another of those small, but very helpful services. We found everyone very accommodating. Mom has been at the Towers only a few days but is beginning to settle in. We are very pleased with our experience in making this decision.

My experience with Emeritus (now Brookedale) has been pleasantly positive. My Mom was placed in memory care. Every staff member from contractural information, medical staff, resident activity coordinators have worked hard to assess and adjust anything necessary to help my mom in this transition. She is now healthier, eating regularly, medications are managed and "less than before admitting". The cottages are lovely; bright, cheerful, personalized, engaging for residents to have social interaction and stimulation. This has had very positive effect on both my parents now. My dad now a resident, has managed care and I have peace of mind as we enter the "fall risk" years. We visit regularly and are encouraged by Emeritus to "join their journey". So we attend occasional activities together. Both parents are out and about more than they ever were. they also respond to the constant interaction of the staff. We have not met one staff that has not been helpful or positive. They also seem to really enjoy their job and the guests. They work hard to help the residents know they are important and care about them. Because we all live a distance away, Our family pops in unannounced often and are always welcomed and leave encouraged ourselves! The grounds are lovely and meticulous. There is a gazebo center as well as rocking chairs available on all porches and my parents use them often to chat. Our family LOVES Emeritus Hemet. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of our parents.

Mom has lived there for over a year in independent living. Staff very nice and helpful, lots of great activities offered every day. Beautiful, new, upscale, clean and fun place. The price is reasonable compare to other similar facilities in San Diego. Her only complaint is with the food. Not as good as they profess.

My mom, I, and our family are very happy we chose Bixby Knolls Towers. The facility, services, residents and especially all the staff are so much better than we could have imagined. Thanks!

I visit my loved one every day, so I see the daily routine of the caregives. Of course, they are not perfect, but they care about the residents, and is shows it the treatment the residents are given. Their hearts are in the "tight place." they work hard, and most of all, I belileve, they are sincere about their efforts. I have come to love them all. What more can I say?

The experience at Leisure Pointe was excellent. Ms. Paula and the staff were very professional and helpful with answering questions. The room that was available was a great size and very clean. The tour revealed all the things available for a senior to live comfortable without any worries. I was very impressed by the tenants who were so friendly and said "this is a great place to live". I am glad the Lord led me to this place for my friend that I know she will be assisted with anything she may need. She's 80 and I know she is not alone; there are others who will be there to check on her and assist her.

I visited Wyndham lakes on and off for about a year and a half each and every time I went there the the residents and the staff all are happy and friendly . The place is clean. I even ate dinner there and it was surprisingly good . But I had to make sure it wasn't just for show so I returned several months later unannounced and was treated the same each time . I spoke with several of the residents as well, everyone was happy and had great things to say about Whyndam Lakes. Some had been there only a few months and some for years . Moms been there now for only 2 weeks, but she tells me everyone loves her there. I know I've picked the best place for her hands down...

AM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF "MOVING IN" BUT SO FAR HAVE FOUND THE RESIDENTS VERY FRIENDLY AND THE STAFF EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT. I HAVE LOOKED AT A NUMBER OF SIMILAR COMMUNITIES AND FEEL THAT THIS ONE , WITHOUT DOUBT, IS THE BEST I HAVE SEEN. THE ROOMS AND SURROUNDINGS ARE ESPECIALLY NICE AND THE AMENITIES ARE PLENTIFUL. I AM GLAD THAT "A PLACE FOR MOM)" TOLD ME ABOUT BIXBY KNOLLS TOWERS.

I want to thank William [removed] for his impeccable care of others. He helped me find a place for my mother when I was at my wits end. He took over locating numerous homes for me with costs that were in my price range. He is a caring individual that truly does want to eliminate all of the headaches and dead ends that one comes up against when locating a home for an elderly person. May he be blessed always!

I think that it's a good place, as far as places go. It's a lot more independent which I think is really good. Everyone does their own thing, they offer a lot of activities, and you can join in or not. They do a pretty good job, all around. They try really hard, and they are open to suggestions, and are quick to fix any issues that are brought to their attention. The housekeeping does a really good job. They do a pretty good job with the food too.

My family and I have been through one of the worst experiences of our lives due to my mother's death and my father's subsequent diagnosis of dementia. There are many people and places out in the world who are only in the memory care industry for a payday. I do not know how they sleep at night. At Pacifica we found a place that is well staffed, knowledgeable, capable and willing to do what they can to help my father. They appear to understand the fragile and delicate world of dementia. We are only in the beginning stages of understanding my father's mental state, but the staff at Pacifica are doing what they can to educate us while keeping my father's comfort and care as the number one priority in our new relationship, both with dementia and with Pacifica.

My loved one really likes it there. We started with respite and we hoped our loved one would want to stay and she has. The food is pretty good – a couple of things were a little bland, but think that’s normal. There is a small outside area. I thought this one was the best of the ones I looked at. They have snacks available all day long.

Great place to place for your mom or dad! We rated everything really high. The community is clean. The staff has been friendly to us. There are enough activities. We’re okay with how much we receive for the cost of service.
