My mother in law is slowly starting to like it here. There are a few things so far preventing her from completely enjoying her new surroundings. The staff in the dining area seems to be short not enough servers and due to that, it takes quite awhile for the food to be served to all the residents. Secondly one of the most important things going in was that she was assured they had transportation on Saturday to take her to a church which they have not had which makes her very unhappy that she can not attend church. When questioned the administration says they are working on it. But overall she is liking the activities and the residents there she is enjoying her exercise classes and her rosary and prayer sessions.

It was rather dated and comparing it to Brookdale Irvine, the difference in price was minimal compared to the difference in look and feel of the two.

I am not impressed with the care my husband is receiving at this community. They are not doing a good job of cleaning my husband after he goes to the restroom. We have talked to them and things have not changed much. I was told that they only have three caregivers during the morning and afternoon and two caregivers in the evening. The care in the assisted living is below our expectations. The food is good, however I do not think they take his dietary needs into consideration.

The staff was very friendly and made sure to take there time with my mother and I during our visit. They had a great complex with lots of accommodating amenities available for all of the residents. I just did not feel that it was the right fit for us and was very pricey for what they had to offer.

Well my first hand experience was not so good. Communication was slight. We were shown one room and then told new carpet and etc were going to be done by the end of the week. Our friend was 2 1/2 weeks in a temporary room after being promised to be in her own room within a few days. After we were told the room was finished it apparently was not the room that we were showed when selecting this place for our friend. The staff nurses however have been wonderful. Transition for any elderly is hard not only for them but for those who must place them there also. Sometimes frustration is high, tempers short, and when needs are not being met as promised it causes undo stress and negative feelings.

My dad has been there for less than six months, truth be told, I am on the fence with Brookdale Chatsworth. I like the building, room sizes and location. There have been some challenges with my dad acclimating there and a lot has been put on me as the family member to help them figure out. I would expect more from the administration and nurses there to help figure out.

They think they might be getting purchased by a larger company. Right now they are struggling to manage the quality of the food and activities. It’s a rough transition right now. The staff is great and what they do offer in terms of activities is great. I hope it’s just temporary. There is enough parking. They have a nice outside area. They are walking distance from things.

While my loved one was active and capable of doing things on her own, it was a great experience! It's a wonderful place with lots of activities! She was very involved in activities such as BINGO and mass. They moved her around and she got to go on trips! We were very pleased with her care and she enjoyed her time! However, once she went into Hospice, things drastically changed. They said that they were properly equipped, but they were unable to provide the medications she needed. I ended up having to schedule my own time to come in and provide the medication. I was very unhappy with this part of their service. However, a nurse informed me that, before they switched companies, they were originally able to provide medications. When they switched, they were no longer able to do so. Overall, in the beginning, it was a great experience. However, things changed and the experience dwindled.

The woman that showed us around seemed very rushed like we interrupted her day but here we were on tour of the place. I didn't like that.

We just weren't that impressed with it. It was a pretty nice facility but I didn't appreciate the girl's attitude. It took me 15 minute to get over there which should have taken 3 or 4 minutes but traffic was bad. I think she was getting off at 5:30 and it was probably about 5:15 at the time so it was like she was probably anxious to go home and end her day. I just got the impression she was not having a good day and she sounded off on us for going through A Place For Mom because of the fee they would have to pay.

It was a nice enough place, but not what we are looking for.

Viable option. Good quality and diverse activities. I did not meet many others, so in order to know, we would probably need to go back and visit again with Mom.

Tour done and it is too expensive. Very nice place.

We have been there. Too Big. She felt she would get lost.

Lots of people with disabilities. Seemed very caring. Would not give any estimate of what the assistance part of the care would cost. Older facility but a very good possibility. Seems to be less expensive

Paramount House is really close to where I live. The assisted living wing is fantastic. However, the memory care unit is not as secure as I would like. We live so close to this community that we have taken wandering residents back there on a couple of occasions. I am not confident this this would be the best fit for my loved one.

When I had taken a tour of this community and I had noticed that the staff was not as friendly and welcoming as the other tours I had taken of different properties. They did not give my loved one and I a very inviting feeling and did not spend much time with us. I also did not like that right when you walk out the front door it was a very busy main street and I did not like that since my dad often likes to take a walk.

One thing I will say about this community is that they are trying to improve things! My husbands health has gone down hill since being here at this community. The caregivers work really hard, but I feel the resident ratio to staff isn't good, there are many times they are under staffed in there memory care unit. I have noticed activities written on the board, but I never see anything going on. Their responsive time needs to improve. Until there are improvements made, I would have to think twice before I would recommend this community.
