Llanfair has lazy caregivers. My loved one never recovered with an ability to walk more than 8 steps without falling, while Llanfair represented to the medical provider that she had plateaued. The 1st approx 14 days physical therapy never occurred in any form. At day 20 the full coverage ended. Llanfair's report to the medical provider was falsely represented. She was discharged to go home and fell and broke her ankle in 2 places. Additionally her medical condition upon discharge resulted in her being admitted to the Hosp within 4 days of her discharge. Never again will we trust them.

toured and was not very pleased felt the whole facility is outdated,and needs alot of improvement. the bathrooms are very small that you cant even put a bench or chair in, and everything is very old. felt the rooms are very small if a two person is moving in not enough room, okay for a one person.

The only category I could give a "Fair" rating to was Activities. Cleanliness, Friendliness, Value and Care Services I rated as generally Poor. There are some employees who care, but the short staffing gives the overall rating as Poor. The overflowing trash cans in guest restrooms and sticky floors in dining areas is unacceptable. Again, short staffing. The high employee turn over rate speaks for itself. In my opinion, this facility cares more about making money and filling beds than it does in actual care. Don't settle for less when it comes to choosing a place for your loved one.

I know first hand how hard it can be searching for the right place for your loved one to live. Unfortunately, I did not do enough research prior to making my decision. I allowed myself to choose a location based on location instead of doing my due research. My loved one began her stay in the Rehab unit and was permitted to stay even though she physically and mentally was unable to participate in rehab. This was one positive; as they could have moved her to a different room. The quality of her care was poor at best. The nurse who oversaw all the nursing in the unit was friendly but always made me feel that she was very busy and didn’t have time to answer my questions. The nurse that actually provided care to my loved one was perhaps the most rude and uncaring person I have ever met. She only spoke if spoken to, was curt in all responses, and made sure you knew she felt superior. The day shift nurse was horrible but that doesn’t begin to detail the lack of concern, kindness, and aloofness displayed by the Rehab unit Social Worker. I was appalled at her demeanor continual lack of follow-through. I made several requests time and time again for her assistance with paperwork for my loved one and she struggled to follow through. It took her over one month to submit a requested form. When my loved one passed away, (She received Hospice Care and they were AMAZING,) Ohio Living Llanfair was quick to send her final bill; however, not a word of sympathy or sorry for her passing. I assumed a card would later come in the mail; it has not come, (I should probably give up hope since my loved one’s passing was four months ago.) When we choose a facility to take care of our loved one during their last months, there should not be added pressure due to of lack of care and concern. I can not in any sort of good conscience recommend Ohio Living Llanfair.

Horrible, dirty place. Please check out during evening hours when staff is at it's minimum.

Your first hand experiences really help others. Thanks! Only in it for the money. I do not recommend this place. Ridiculously expensive. Do not feel parent was safe here.

Recently my grandparents had to enter a nursing/assisted living facility. We did the research that we could, and thought Rockynol/Ohio Living was the place. Unfortunately, we made the wrong decision. I personally would advise you to make this the last place you would ever send your loved one. Very bad experiences with aides. Very poor service. We paid for services that were never given, they split my grandparents into different units, on separate floors, in order to bill for two rooms. I have family members that worked in similar facilities. Every other facility does everything possible to keep a husband and wife together. Rockynol did not, they didnt care. If you love your family member, go elsewhere. YOU WILL REGRET SENDING THEM HERE. You've been warned.

I cannot recommend Westminster Thurber for skilled nursing/Rehab. My mom re-broke her leg under their care. PT did not re-evaluate the situation but instead chose to try and solve the issue with drugs & prescribed anxiety medication. When we tried to discuss the situation with Administration they had no interest in listening nor did they have any concern for their patient's current condition. One would think the administration would have an interest in learning from the situation and improve based on the findings. That did not happen at all. The sad news is there are some great nurses and aids who go unrecognized. My issues was with PT and the Administration. Buyer beware.
