Very nice atmosphere. Staff very understanding and caring. Large common room. Bright and cheery. Rooms good size. LPNs. RN on call later in day, not always on site. No smell.

Nice. Very homey, would seem more like having an apartment and some freedom to Mom. She would not think of it as a nursing home. Liked activities, neighborhoods, neighbors etc

Low provider to patient ratio. Neat/clean facility. Does not look like a nursing home. Many common areas for visitation.

Met with a staff member. Very knowledgeable/caring. Toured facility. She suggested an evaluation to see what needs both parents may need. It is possible both could be in this senior community, Mom in assisted living and Dad in memory care, or perhaps both together in one place. Care & activities.

Toured facility on Friday. 40 private rooms. Can have own furniture, artwork, however will provide basic if needed. Decor a little dated, but clean. 4 main common living rooms, 2 common dining areas. Staff is long term. Personalized care, even hospice. 15 miles = 23 minutes

Long discussion prior to tour; Vanessa spent time talking to potential resident right away to assess best placement option. Very impressed with facility, warm, comfortable, smaller community, relaxing environment. Activities well planned and interactive. All inclusive, with transitional living option. Available.

This community was doable however, after speaking with previous residents they were not recommended as options for us to go to.

A peaceful place and comfortable and spacious living room and bedrooms. The food is very good. They do take residents out on outings occasionally. There does not seem to be enough physical and memory care activities.

Their menu is very good and their living room environment is spacious, clean and attractive and nicely decorated for the holidays. The bedrooms are also very spacious. For the most part the place is very quiet and peaceful.

There comes a time in some of our lives that you have to look for a place either for both or one of your parents. When this time came we looked at several different facilities and although this is a difficult decision, we were happy to say we found Artisan Senior Living in Middleton, WI was the best place for our Mom. Not every day is perfect, it isn't anywhere you chose, but Artisan strives to meet our Mom's needs as well as our needs as a family. Currently, they have an excellent director, nurse and marketing director on staff. It is important to know your administrative and caretakers so that when you leave you know that your parent(s) will be taken care of and you have peace of mind. You have to learn to speak up when you don't like something as you are the voice for that resident, and you must speak up when there is good things that occur. It is important on both accounts. Again, Artisan Senior Living strives to do a good job, and we as families appreciate it.

All though In have not been involved with this community very long I think so far so good. It is to early to determine whether the care is adequate, but it seems okay for the time being.

This would have not been a good match for my mom. The level of patients was much lower than my mom plus it's far away. They have a memory care unit and they are at a really low functioning level. My mom is really high functioning so it wouldn't have been a good fit.

The activity woman was very engaged. First alert button on lanyard worked intermittently so if there was an issue my mother in law would call us day or night and we would have to go there. The main phone number was rarely answered. We then asked a staff member did give us her personal cell number and that worked better.

The food was terrible. They served bologna sandwiches for dinner, with no water. They often missed meals and my mom was starving. They said they had 24 hour nursing, but they didn't, there was no RN on staff. Twice, the doctor ordered prescriptions when my mom was sick, and both times it took four days to get the medications. A few caregivers were absolutely excellent, but the rest were just there to collect a paycheck. Everyday there were red flags. I would say to people, don't go there. The owner is in it for the money and would skimp on everything. This place isn't worth the money.

After speaking with [name removed] for several minutes at the start of our tour, we quickly agreed it would not be a good fit for my dad. It seems Artisan is pretty specifically for memory care patients, which my dad is not. The population is also much older and it does not seem to offer the level of care and activities we would want for my dad. The facility was clean and the staff seemed friendly; however, they were a little unorganized and didn't seem to be expecting me.

Very expensive per month in comparison with another facility I found that was in much better condition and had more of a homey feel. I did see staff engaging with the residents and they do have a nice activity schedule.
