Morningside is wonderful. Clean, bright, modern. Staff (everyone) is friendly and professional--and very understanding. Socially this is an active place where there is a lot of interaction and stimulation. So very glad that Mom is here.

After our mother passed away, we wanted a place that was comfortable, safe, and clean for him to live. This place is all of that. He has a one bedroom apartment with plenty of space. They serve great meals that he enjoys and has nice lounge areas and patio for the residents. There is ample parking for visitors. It smells great when you walk in, a major plus in a care facility. He just moved in a few days ago and is adjusting well.

The entire staff is very accommodating and super friendly. They take good care of their residents and are aware of where their residents are and what they are doing. Most everything is there that my mother needs - they bathe her, salon, cafeteria, which welcomes family members at a very reasonable price to join Mom. Also activities - they have a nice variety of activities and Mom loves the church and getting a communion. That is huge for her.

Love it here, the people are so nice from when you walk in the door. It’s clear that they care about the residents from the top down. There’s a connection between the employees and residents. It leaves me feeling safe to say goodbye to my mom. There is so much to do all the time.

Activities director for memory care is awesome. My dad is enjoying the musical performances there.

My mom was there only a short few months before passing away. The staff was exceptional. They were friendly, helpful and attentive to all our questions and concerns. The dining room was always clean and the food was delicious.

The whole team is expectational. I know my father is being cared for my a team that looks at their residents as family. My dad is thriving and being his best self under their care.

My mom referred to Morningside as her apartment. She enjoyed the offered activities, the dining room, the people. When family & friends visited Morningside, we were always impressed with the cleanliness of the facility and how friendly the workers were.

We find the staff to be very willing to accommodate special requests such as my mother's dietary needs. Although not perfect, they are very willing to put together care needs programs to meet the resident's unique needs.

We had to place my father in a very short time period. Luckily, I had toured Morningside previously and knew he was going to come here after his stint in rehab. Morningside was happy to accommodate him and even prepped a room just for him. They went above and beyond for his arrival. I can’t say enough about the staff. They are personable, caring, thoughtful, and transparent. They kept me in the loop any time dad had a fall, which was often. They were just very dedicated to his needs and knew him very well. He had a lot of needs but they were sure to meet each one of them and go above at times for him. He wasn’t here very long before his dementia got worse and his Parkinson’s took away his ability to walk, shortly thereafter, even get out of bed anymore. He was on Hospice and they worked hand in hand with the staff at Morningside. All awhile, keeping me updated daily. If you are looking for a place where your loved one is cared for, has activities daily and great food, you’ve found it!

My dad was in Morningside from [date removed] until he passed in [date removed]. I can't say enough how amazing they all were there. Especially the nurses and caregivers.

The staff is very helpful and courteous. There are lots of activities, and Lots of friends to make.

Very supportive staff. They are kind and caring. The activities are varied and fun. The food and menu choices could be improved.

I would rate them five out of five. They are taking excellent care of my dad and I have not had any issues so far. Kind and patient and they make sure my dad is eating well and they get him up, dressed and out of bed every day which is a lot with his broken femur.

They are very good to my Mom and very friendly and attentive. I would recommend to others.

A note for Value for cost - : I think all the places I toured are very costly. Some were higher than Morningside and I couldn't really see why. I do not know at what profit margin they operate and some others may have gotten a lower rating here. We as a Nation waste a lot of money on things that don't count and it's disappointing that Senior Care is something that will financially drain a family. What stood out the most - The friendliness of the staff and the fact that Morningside was not really large or too small. One thing I was disappointed in is the pharmacy they use did not participate in my Mom's insurance. I was surprised because Mom had Uniformed Services Family Health Plan, (Tri-Care) which is a Nationwide program. It took some time to work out the medication issues but I was able to work with the staff successfully. Also when it came to the daily routine with my Mom and her clothes I was disappointed by a few of the staff when it came to the care they took with her clothes. I would say they were in a hurry and a little messy when taking her clothes out of the closet and rehanging items. It's not a major issue but it's a detail and some people need more training or guidance that details matter.

My Mom is in Assisted Living so I can comment on that level. Facility is always clean and the facility is always kept up. All of the staff are very attentive and friendly. Lots of activities for those that want to join in.

This facility is amazing. The care my loved-one receive is top notch. Everyone is kind, friendly and always willing to help.

ven though my uncle remained in the hospital’s hospice unit, I wanted to share the amazing support I received from [name removed] at Morningside House of Ellicott. He spent over 35 minutes on the phone with me, clearly explaining hospice care options and what to look for in a facility. He was kind, patient, and incredibly informative—offering genuine help without knowing if we’d even choose Morningside. That level of compassion and guidance meant so much during a very emotional time. I can only imagine the quality of care families receive here. Truly a five-star experience.
