We toured this community and it was not a good experience. The attitude of the staff was not good they seemed disinterested in giving us information they were not helpful at all. The appearance of the community was overall good it appeared clean. The rooms were ok nothing special.

The tour was really good, seeing a nice community and the atmosphere. My intake to what was being told to me, was not the same as what I was seeing in the Memory Care.They didn't do a lot with the residents. I saw some sitting in front of the television. Not much activities or stimulation. They were professional.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my loved one and I have to say I am a little disappointed in the staff. This was actually my first choice out of the different locations I had looked at for my father but I could never get in touch with anyone after our visit. Every time I called I never got answers and was always promised a call back that I never received. I was crunched for time and they did not have any organization going on.

Based on my tour they were fine. However I just didn't getting a good feeling for a match. It looked clean. The staff were all nice and good at what they were doing. Everybody was happy when I walked through. The number of people, the layout, and the dining experience was not a good match for my mom.

When I was searching for a place for my grandfather, I called MorningSrar. I did not tour but I did speak on the phone with a young man whose name I do not remember. I was not very happy with our conversation, When I asked about pricing, he just told me that everywhere was the same and did not give me information. It left me a bad impression and I would not put my loved one in their care.

For the most part I am happy with the care my mom gets. They maintain her insulin shots and I was impressed when Tracy gave me a tour on her day off. The community is clean and they have plenty of activities for my mom to participate. She likes the bridge group. The cost is going down because she does not need as much care. However, her main complaint is the wait time when getting to lunch and when ordering her meal. It is not in a timely manner.

Pros: Very friendly staff as well as residents. Good care for those who need it. Nice facility, good location Cons: Food is very low quality. Never improves. Poor service at times. Pool has not opened in two years. Entertainment limited to twice a week. Could be more, even every day. Activities are limited. Constant turnover of food staff and directors

Things are going okay here for my mom but I am not happy about the staff turnover, they seem to not have enough to do be prompt. It is always clean there. The food is good to me, at times my mom has picky habits. My mom gets to enjoy indoor activities but is limited to outings due to her wheelchair. If there were more staff, I would recommend.

This is more assisted living so if the resident doesn't need a lot of help they are fine. There was no communication with the nurse, unless they change this I would not recommend it. They did not follow the information we filled out about what to do in case of emergency. They have some wonderful people there but what they're selling is not what they are giving. It's a brand new facility it's absolutely beautiful. There were people there that were very good but now they aren't there anymore. If the doctor prescribes a medicine and if it says three times a day or as needed they get it three times a day, they don't have the medical staff to qualified to make the judgement call about as needed. I don't feel like they had enough staff.

I think the administration is lacking. I think they've done a poor job. The fact that they were in the middle of being sold and didn't bother letting anybody know upset me. My understanding is that Bonaventure has sold pretty much all their assisted living places now so they're pretty much out of the game. Overall I'm happy with the people there and I'm happy with the facility but from the administrative stand point things didn't go the way they said they would and now, with the change over, Bonaventure may be out of our price range.

This was a beautiful residence my objection was mixed independent/assisted living. We saw more people who were obviously assisted rather than independent livers.

Mom and Dad changed their mind. Need some place that has retirement and assisted living completely separate. Also, room did not have enough closet space.

2/28 waiting for call back. Don't have skilled nursing so may not take mom. Need her to bare weight on atleast one leg. Haven't seen yet.

This is a viable alternative but it is outside our price range and has NO storage in the apt.

My parent has been here in memory care for years and the care levels are very inconsistent with a high turnover of staffing at all levels. Often when I visit they are understaffed and the care managers who do bother to show up are bitter and stressed. It’s common for staff to be working doubles. The basic issue is that the memory care unit is too big, with many of the residents needing a high level of care and they are not able to address this, yet they keep accepting new residents. I would not recommend this place for memory care, go somewhere with less residents. There are some much better options in the area with better reputations.

We have been here 3 months. The people are very nice. Our apartment is roomier enough for the two of us. The food is good and there is plenty of things to do but ( there is always a but) some people moved in above us that are very heavy footed and drop things a lot. We get woke up early and then the noise goes all day. We are moving since there doesn't seem to be anything the management can do.

What they could improve on would be Communication, but most of all, there's so many times there is no one watching them, my wife has drank floor cleaner because they didn't lock up their chemicals, by the grace of God she didn't drink bleach or drano, which would have killed here. Too many things to write. Very unhappy, for almost [Amount Removed] a month you'd think they could watch her, left her toilet plugged over night because they didn't want to plunge it they wanted to wait for the next day for maintenance man, thank God I stopped by at two in the afternoon and made them get me a plunger, which I cleared in the first plunge, 2" of water and poop on the floor which they were going to leave all day till the next day..... I've got a huge list

For the price to stay there I expect high quality for the meals provided with healthy choice options, especially for people in independent living. If you are a picky eater or have digestive issues this place isn’t for you. Most if the food is overcooked mush. Over cooked vegetables, over cooked fish. The menu presented makes it all sound delicious but what you receive is a different story. Most of the options are fried or with heavy creams and sweetened with sugar. So the grocery bill remains high and the cafeteria is used once or twice a week. I suggest you have a couple meals here before you make a decision. I wish we would have.

Mostly what I saw was people just sat around in the common room, looking often into space. Barely anybody spoke. The person I visited reeked of urine. I wondered how many of these people had UTIs that were impacting their cognitive abilities. I saw a very little interaction. Several in wheelchairs or bedridden. I did not see a lot of activities and I spent days at a time there. I saw a lot of junk food available as snacks but I don’t think helped anybody’s brains whatsoever. Sugary cupcakes, pudding, chips. I did not see people eating fresh fruit, which could have been cut up and put into small bowls. Guess that’s too laboring chance. Easier to just hand them a cupcake or pudding. One of my greatest fears is that I end up in this particular facility. There were a couple of wonderful caregivers who go above and beyond but for the most part I did not see it as a loving environment, but a frightening one. It is very depressing, very quiet. The residents look lost and sad.

The facilities are excellent. But Ridgegate is far more amenable to people with lower needs. If the resident requires more attention or care, it feels like a fight. But for residents with lower needs, the facilities and amenities are probably as good or better than just about anywhere
