They are slowly improving the facilities but are slow to fully staff the building. They are really working hard to make things better.

Quality of care- 3 (Because of the score that I've given them I'm going to elaborate just a little bit. When my husband first arrived at Avery Village, I became worried that they did not have adequate staff to give my husband the care that he needed. I spoke to them about their lack of adequate staffing. The 'new' for director was very respectful , & seemed to be listening to what I was saying. She said that they were having a good bit of turnover, but they had just hired 6 new workers, so things would get better. I asked her where was the 6 new workers, because I had not seen any additional workers moving about. She said that 4 of them were in training. I don't know about that, but time would tell. .Food - not the best and not much variety - chicken every which way that you can think of, but never the way that my husband wants it - southern fried chicken. Activities - the usual games, with BINGO

What we like the most about the community is that the staff are very friendly and available to answer questions.

I would recommend it to others ,Residents are easy to make friends with.staff people and caregivers are very friendly and helpful. Husband was there for 9 days for respite care while I.took some time away. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. My main concern was no assisted him with a shower for the entire nine days that he was there

What we really like the most about Kennesaw Village is that they are really good to my mom. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

They could improve on the food by adding some healthier choices. They could improve on the activities by offering more outings and options for group activities.

So happy for this place. Mom feels good all the time, medicine management is good. Clean overall. Very friendly, helpful always. Meals are great. Activities every day, preachers on Sundays. Happy with value cost. They have very beautiful garden for memory care residents so when I'm visiting I go with my mom together to this garden to spend time outside.

Move in was a breeze and we were under the radar due to my dad's eviction from his previous facility. Staff is great, but definitely notice they are short staffed. Cleaning is great. [Name removed] does a great job. Laundry is always done. It's a smaller facility, so a very homey feel. Chef will accommodate preferences for adjusting meals. A big plus. I would definitely recommend. It doesn't have the look of a high end facility, but more than makes up for it in how well what they have it maintained.

What we like the most about the Avery Village community is the smallness of the community. The staff members are wonderful and it is easy to help when needed. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Avery Village to other families

None of the residents that I've encountered seem unhappy. I dont worry about my dad falling, not eating, etc. He seems to have a good rapport with his " nurses" that oversee his needs. Although I know he would prefer to be home, this is the next best thing. I don't wake up at night wondering if he is OK. I like the fact that it is. smaller facility and feels more comfortable/cozy. Kennesaw Place urges the residents to eat in the dining room. It's not a requirement but something they like residents to do. For our father, this has given him more socialization outside of him staying in his room.

Our families experience

It was multi factorial when it came down to choosing Lanier Place for our loved one - compared to other communities, the staff here seemed like they had more knowledge and would be more comfortable handling our loved ones mobility and the overall value is reasonable. We have been there during meal times and while it does not look gourmet our loved one really seems to enjoy it. They do have activities going on but it seems like not many of them are to our loved ones liking

The overall staff is very good with everything. Meals and dining room kept very neat and clean. Everything good. Some items like the rugs and some walls and ceilings have needed fixing and changing since I came, was told they would be. The price goes up but nothing gets fixed. I like being here overall.

Our family had an in person tour and they were very nice and helpful. However the facility was just old, it had small rooms and there was an odor.

We enjoyed the tour and the many options but ended up choosing one closer to the rest of our family.

Our family had an in person tour and all the staff we met with were very informative and receptive to our questions and concerns. However we just did not see that much interaction and stimulation with the residents on the memory care side so it was just not going to be the best fit.

We decided on Avery Place because they were closest to home. We walked through the facility and we liked what we saw and they seemed to be very on top of things. It is a small facility and I think they do really well. The food that they fix looks great but my mother does not eat much. They are supposed to have house cleaning and we had to remind them to clean the toilets and the floor has still yet to vacuumed. They have pretty much done everything that they said they were going to do but could improve on the cleaning.
