The morning mom woke up and came downstairs and told me she had been praying and wanted to move to Canterfield of Kennesaw was an unexpected surprise. After being her person for so long I was happy she had made this decision for herself but also felt like “who’s going to take care of mom like I will?”. Well let me tell you about the earthbound angels at Canterfield …. they take care of my mom with patience, grace, compassion and love. They love on her, they see to her needs, she’s been sick and they nurture her, the food is great, the entertainment is often and wonderful, they do field trips, have movies every night, maintenance, laundry, and housekeeping staff are super, and the management staff has guided me every step of the way. If you or your loved one is looking at options I 100% encourage you to check out Canterfield, you won’t be sorry.

MY WIFE AND I HAVE LIVED AT CANTERFIELD OF KENNESAY GOING ON FIVE YEARS AND WE HAVE ENJOYED EVERY DAY THAT WE'VE BEEN HERE. WE WOULD RECOMMEND CANTERFIELD OF KENNESAW TO ANYONE CONSIDERING A SENIOR HOME IN THEIR RETIREMENT.

The passing of my Dad is still very new and my heart is broken. I miss my dad dearly ! Everyone and I do mean EVERY staff member at Canterfield took such good care of him and loved him like family I’m forever grateful to you all. I work in many of the facilities around Atlanta, but Canterfield is by far the most intimate down home family feel. I would recommend canterfield above all others. Bless you all for all you do ! Since moving to Canterfield Independent Living last January, my husband and I can't imagine living anywhere else! The other residents and the staff are like family to us. Everyone genuinely loves and cares about each other. The activities are numerous and so diverse and fun, including, crafts, games, happy hours with live entertainment, trips to vineyards, concerts, and museums to mention just a few. The amenities are so well done. The residences are well thought out and beautifully constructed and well appointed, from granite countertops and crown molding throughout, to large bathrooms...all built with older residents needs considered. We are truly happy here. It really is home!

Canterfield of Kennesaw Independent living is one of the few places in our community that provides great food, fun activities (on and off site) a gym and a heated pool all in one place! It’s a great transition for older parents that want to stay active!! The residents and staff are amazing!! My parent’s small dog loves it too!!! I’m so glad we found it! More retirement communities need to be modeled after it!

The Canterfield of Kennesaw is a clean community and the staff members and residents alike are happy. There are also plenty of activities for them to do as well. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Our experience with Canterfield of Fort Myers has been a great experience. Everyone, and I mean everyone, working here goes out of their way to be helpful. My mom was hospitalized for almost a month. They were instrumental in getting her back. If anybody needs a recommendation, this is the place. My Mom refers to Canterfield of Fort Myers as her House. Can't think of a bigger endorsement.

Our family had an in person tour with Canterfield of Fort Myers and we thought the community and tour experience was great but it was not the place for our loved one

I love it. My mom is so happy. The staff are amazing. The facility is clean & has a lot to offer. It was bright. Everyone was so nice. It was clean.

Our Canterfield experience was a warm and welcoming one that provided great confidence and comfort during a time of stress and uncertainty for our loved one. Whether during the start up and initiation period ([name removed]) during regular care, or as our loved one approached end of life, the Canterfield leadership ([name removed]) and staff were respectful and attentive. Communication from care coordination was outstanding and [name removed] in particular was exceptional and acted like an extension of our family providing our loved one with personal attention, despite her busy schedule. Her daily caregivers ([name removed] and others) were compassionate and gentle, and became even more so as her condition deteriorated. We knew multiple people that had great experiences with Canterfield and after our personal experience, we would highly recommend Canterfield for a quality, affordable experience.

Everyone is friendly. A lot of activities are provided for the residents. They will do what they can to help you if you need help. Mom is in the independent living building. I have only two silly complaints, the internet and you can have all the wine you want, but can't get bottled water. Moms apartment is big enough for what she needs. She is in the 1 bedroom and it has a full kitchen and living room. They do offer storage as well.

After 3 homes for my Mom in the past 3 years, we finally found her forever home at Canterfield. She lives in the memory care unit - but rather than feeling like a resident, it's more like she's living with extended family. While the facilities are clean, quite new, and well-maintained what makes Canterfield shine are the people. At every level - from the top exec to activities to aides and housekeeping - every person there truly loves the people and families of Canterfield. A message or text with a picture/update of my mom is an almost weekly occurrence; being greeted by smiling faces is common; and walking in on someone hugging my mom or hearing "I love you" is a regular thing. The activities department excels - and families are always encouraged and welcomed to be a part. My mom is encouraged to join in - but never forced to do something she doesn't want to do. Her quality of life has greatly improved since moving to Canterfield; I wish I had found them sooner!!

My grandmother is at canterfield & I can’t say enough about their incredible staff and environment. The facilities are clean & inviting, the events for residents keep things entertaining & engaging, and the staff is so kind & caring. I can’t recommend them enough!

My home care agency has participated in sponsoring and partnering on several events in the past year. [Name removed] and the team at Canterfield plans and promotes fun events for their residents! Live music, good food and a great time are had by all who attend. The community is well-maintained. The staff is caring and friendly. The leadership by all of the directors is reflected well in my experiences at Canterfield.

[Name removed], activities director, is amazing! She does such a great job of engaging her residents! Everyone always has a great time! Everyone that works in this community is incredibly dedicated to the care and life enrichment of their residents!

[name removed] their activities Director is one amazing human. This little woman has so much to give to this facility. I preform there and I see how much energy she brings to those residents. This woman can throw a party. They have one angel there. Canterfield is very lucky to have someone so dedicated to their job. My wife chose to continue staying there for the duration of her therapy. That speaks for itself. She feels safe in their friendly environment. She has quite enjoyed the activities that [name removed] has created. And the concierge desk is run by dedicated folks.

She said some staff members are better than others but you get that everywhere. She noted some are absolutely wonderful and have become good friends that she's gotten close to, but didn't name names

Very clean and beautiful! I enjoyed my visit and tour of the facility. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful towards the residents. Activity calendar is full of different choices and the meal I had was delicious!

I have to say the staff of Canterfield are very friendly, very observant of mom's needs and communicate with me frequently. We visit quite often it is always extremely clean with cheerful staff all around. According to our loved one the meals and dining and activities is great which is why those receive 5 stars. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend Canterfield of Fort Myers to other families looking for a community for their loved ones.
