We waited for the manager beyond our appointment time and left. No one smiled, not even the visitors. Had a bad feeling after talking to some of the residents. Mom did not want to go back.

I'm not sure it's going to be a good fit for our loved one. For now, some of our needs are being met, but we have had a couple of instances that were very concerning. I don't know that they have enough people on staff. They say they can handle memory care, but I am not sure they are trained enough to work with that. I will walk by rooms and hear people calling for help. I chose them because I liked the way they presented themselves, and they said they could handle it. I wouldn't recommend them, especially if you think you aren't going to have to worry about your loved one. My loved one is losing some function now. If they don't require a lot of assistance, or if they had enough people on staff, it would probably be a good place.

Do not place your loved one here. This use to be a fabulous place but has been getting worse and worse the last 6 months. The entire management staff has turned over in the last 6 months and many positions remain open. The facility is terribly understaffed. Medication dispensing is chronically late and the food service is disorganized with long waits. The advertised resturant style dining is non existent. The same worn out activities occur every week with little participation. There are no weekend activities. There has been attrition recently among the residents and more will come. Hardly worth the price tag.

We considered going here, but the room was tiny. They wanted to do some shuffling around with the rooms to get us into a bigger one eventually, but it just felt shady. As soon as I walked into the memory care, I started gagging from the smell of urine. I knew I could never put my parents there, never in a million years.

When I arrived they couldn't find any one who knew about my appointment for the tour. The tour was given to me by the maintenance manager. Very unorganized. The rooms were very small and not up to date. No activities were going on. It was a little smelly. The common area carpet was dirty. I didn't feel was very secure. The person giving the tour wasn't even sure of the cost.

The needs of the residents are often neglected. The facility is short staffed and has a very high turnover. Managers are not good to their employees. Talk to family members before allowing your loved one to move in there. Ask lots of questions.

Dark. Cleanliness was an issue as there seemed to be no polish to the place.

Too small

Disappointed in Atria. During tour visits I was told that my Dad would “flourish” and that he would be taken care of. Unfortunately Atria tells us more, daily, of what they “can’t do” or “won’t do”. I thought they could do a better job, than me, of caring for my Dad. I was wrong! My Dad is now having a toe amputated because no one informed the family that he had sores on his toes. They have allowed him to sit in a dirty depends, more than once, causing skin breakdown on his bottom. He fell and injured his knee. They wouldn’t even put a band aid on the wound. So many things have gone wrong that I can’t, in good conscience, recommend Atria. This place does not live up to the level of care they sell you when they are trying to recruit you. Essentially, it’s false advertising. We were very honest and up front with all his medical conditions. I wish they had told us, up front, they couldn’t provide an ounce of medical care. If your loved needs any medical care this is NOT the place to go. So, so disappointed in Atria.

Quillen Manor does not have any social activities or social directors. There are no social events. People living in Quillen Manor go there to just sit around waiting to die. The food is not very appetizing. I made my own activities by building a rose garden in front of the facility. I maintained the back yard which was supposed to be a garden area but no staff member did anything out there.

They can't keep staff very long which includes the executive director and care manager.

My dad was at Brookdale for about 2 months and we found them to be understaffed. They also requested that we bring certain items but then were unable to keep up with his things. When I moved him after 2 months, his two sets of sheets, comforter and his throw were unable to be found after several visits to look for them. They failed to do several of the things we were promised they would do.

We have been extremely disappointed since my loved one entered Atria a few months ago. The facility is terribly understaffed and there are rampant communication problems between management and front line staff. On the surface, it is a beautiful facility but the services our loved one receives has not met up with our expectations. There has been a large turnover in staff and problems point to poor management. Some of the staff are truly caring but that does not compensate for how poorly the facility is run. Do your homework and please please consider other facilities.

Don't let your family member live here if they have mild dementia or early Alzheimer's because this place doesn't want to deal with the normal issues that come with the disease. After a short time you may be told your person needs a "higher level of care" & has to move out. They will want you to move them to their other facility that takes care of people with dementia & costs more.

Not happy that they didn't tell me the truth, and that they could fully take care of the level of care for my loved one. After she got there, then they found out she was too much for them both mentally and physically and they asked me to move her. Not happy at all about this whole situation. Also, now they say I owe her more money after she moved out, and I paid them a large sum already.

My mom was there for 8 weeks. The director accused her of lying and said she made up stories. Please note that other than the director, the entire staff was great. The food was terrible. The smell of the place was awful- urine. My mother had no disabilities- she just needed somewhere to relax. She was definitely not ready for a place like that. She had to put out $[removed]while she was there, plus a $[removed]penalty for leaving before [date removed].

The director refused to help or take responsibility when mistakes were made. Very little to no compassion was shown for our family member and there were many occasions when they were not taken care of. Much of the time that my parent spent at Grace Manor Hunter’s Creek in Plant City was stressful and heartbreaking, and administration did not care. They put on a good show to get you to sign, but sadly, it’s all a façade.

The room size was adequate. Nurse staff was great. My grandma liked them but they would notify her that meals were ready but not ensure she was eating or drinking. Meals were always cold and stale. The care coordinator [name removed], was awful! She was more concerned about correcting the way I said medication than she was telling what medications she was giving. My grandma went to the emergency room due to extreme hydration and not one person reached out to see how she was! She never went back there again! My grandmother progressed into dementia and I noticed before they did. I had to ask several times for UTI test and always ask weeks later for the follow up results. When we left we gave 30 days notice and they still charged us for the month we were gone, we did get the money back. They also charged us for two months worth of medication that she was NOT getting cause she was in the hospital. The pharmacy said no one notified them that she was not there. I would not recommend

This is not a very good place in my opinion and that of my family and her friends. When we were looking for a place for our Mom it seemed like they were the perfect place but there were so many inconsistencies once our Mom was moved in. She did not receive the care we were promised and the staff consisted of very young non trained young persons who were almost never around. We had to remind them to bathe her, change her clothes and feed her because she could not feed herself. She was left alone at times in the dining area and would be asleep because no one took the time to take her back to her room. No one would check on her for hours as witnessed by her friends that came to visit her. We were very sad that our Mom had to live her last days in that type of environment and we wish we had left her to pass at home. I would never recommend this facility to anyone.

Food is bad. Never anyone at the front desk to answer the phone. Mangers have changed 3 times in 6 months. 3 new sales people in 6 months. Bus services has been not working now for 4 months. No Driver and the bus is broken constantly. I hope this helps
