Very nice apartment style living. Apartments are large and airy. Residents are friendly. The only thing that could be improved is the the food - not a fan of the meals. They have changed cooks a couple times, but seems to not be the greatest. Would recommend with improvements to the food.

We chose Lockwood of Genesee because we like the overall feel of the facility and it was cost effective as well. Most of the activities and the meals do not appeal to my father which is why I gave them a lower score. My dad quit eating in the cafeteria because he was getting ill afterwards. Overall I would recommend the facility, there are just a few improvements that they could make.

One of the things my mom was looking forward to and probably the biggest disappointment, was that she wanted to be able to meet people. Because the food is poor, hardly any of the residents are using the meal plan. From speaking with the residents, the food used to be better, but it's now down to very few residents who attend meals. It' not a social event here, like it is at some other places. My mom is not a picky eater. There are things her not wanting cheese, but them only offering a cheeseburger instead of a hamburger. There's missing silverware at the table and they don't put of cream and sugar out with the coffee. You have to stand there and knock and wait to get sugar and cream. Some of them have trouble cutting food because it's overcooked. My mom is capable and can do her own cooking. She selected the dinner plan because of the socialization that comes with it. There are people there who needs a little help, and the few she has met who are capable aren't electing the food plan because the food has gone downhill so much. The place itself is beautiful and everyone we have dealt with there have been nothing but friendly. She was going to bring it up when they have their meeting, but it got cancelled for a legitimate reason. There was a nice 50's party and she really liked it. She said the food was better at the party, but the directors were there, so maybe when the directors aren't there - the food may not be as good. Most of their activities are in the morning, so she isn't partaking as much because she's a person who sleeps in. I know a lot of senior are up and at it early in the morning. She has enjoyed the activities that are being offered in the evening, like the party. I think it's a good suggestion for them to know that not everyone is an early riser. This was a big step for my mom, as she was living totally on her own, but she missed seeing and being with people more. Other than the food, she likes her place. They said she's locked into the food plan for a full year. It's disappointing to pay for something for a full year that she doesn't go to very often because she doesn't enjoy the food.

We had a lovely tour, the facility was clean and very well lit. Staff seemed positive and upbeat.

I had a good tour expeinrece with Lockwood of Burton. The reason I did not choose them was because over here I would have had to pay for cable separately. The lady that I talked with was very friendly and pleasant to work with. The price was a little higher than the other Lockwood facility.

Lockwood of Fenton is very expensive and if you live here, you have to not need any assistance. it's not so much the community, its the Lockwood corporation - I don't think they treat their tenants and future tenants very well. there is no grace period, so when you sign a lease even if you call back the next day, you are stuck with that lease. some communities give you so many days until the lease is finalized. people that are looking into Lockwood should be expected to not change their mind because you will be tied into very expensive proposition. other than that, it physically looks nice and the staff are friendly.

We chose Lockwood of Burton because of the pricing, the convenient location for family, and it is a very nice looking facility. They are very nice apartment sizes, all apartments either have balconies or patios. Recently there has been a lot of staff members. We are very comfortable with her being here and would recommend to others looking.

The community has a lot to offer. The move was really good for my loved one. It's nice to know that there are people around in case anything happens. The chef just changed and the residents are grumbling a little bit.

Lockwood of Fenton is a wonderful community to live in. Better than living alone in your home. Staff is great!

Lived here around 13 years, if I've ever had a problem I find I can discuss it with the office and they look into it quickly. I love living here and the only way they'll get me out of here is on a gurney.

liked these a little better.... had storage and parking has a car port...… Out of Budget

My parents recently moved to the Lockwood of Fenton because it feels more like home. The place is clean and well maintained. They offer 3 meals a day for the residents, the only complaint they have is that they don't have choices. They get what is served. They have a variety of activities so they could interact with other residents. Overall the community has been good and my parents are happy.

I do not have anything to compare this community to. The staff here are friendly, helpful and answer questions. The food is good. The community is fairly clean but I think it could be cleaner per my standards. They offer all kinds of activities. They do not tell you everything until you sign the papers. I would recommend that you ask a lot of questions before you choose a community.

Everything is great except bathrooms and some other areas should be cleaner

Lockwood of Burton has turned out to be a really great place for mother in law. Since she's been there she is now eating three meals per day which she didn't do before moving in so that definitely says a lot. The staff are always very nice and welcoming. They are highly recommended in my book!

Love it so far. Michelle and the nurse Theresa have been very helpful in preparing for possible. Mom has no money and no one seems to care. We are going in under the income tax credit and VA benefits and we are treated as if we are paying our own way. My mom worked very hard all her life and never asked for anything and even ruined her own healthy taking care of my father and keeping him out of a nursing home. I feel she deserves this and am afraid it might be to good to be true!.

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. Lockwood of Waterford seemed like a nice place, overall! The people here were friendly, and the facility itself was clean and well decorated. It wasn't our top choice, but it seemed like somewhere that would have done a good job taking care of my loved one.

We have chosen Lockwood of Waterford. I like the location, and the price was reasonable.

not as nice as Canterbury. Has more housekeeping every day. Meals only at certain times in diningroom.Nursing home style menu. transportation many x/wk. movie room. Laundry services

My two sisters and I chose Lockwood for our father, mainly because of the caring staff. We visited several times and we always felt welcome. The facilities themselves were great, too. Small enough to be cozy, but large enough to offer plenty to do. Unfortunately, we were unable to convince our father that a move was in his best interest, so he has not moved to Lockwood. In the future, if he needs assisted living, Lockwood would be our hands-down choice.
