Lifespace Communities

Both of my parents lived in FV and now my dad is in the care center. The staff is wonderful. Kind, caring, and ready to undertake and unusual assignment that will help dad and his family. Here's what I sent to [name removed], a social worker at the care center. To explain, I live out-of-state and doing my dad's taxes can sometimes be a challenge. [name removed]: I would like to express my deep appreciation to you for your help in resolving my Dad's W-2 problem. It might seem as if you did very little, but I assure you that I, and Dad, are very, very grateful. Although I usually can't get him by phone, my mind is often comforted when I remember that caring, dedicated professionals like you are attending to Dad. Friendship Village is simply a wonderful institution and the reason for that is people like you who work there. I Once again, thank you sincerely from the bottom of my heart for your help.

Things are working out pretty well here. They are giving my loved one good care. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is that they took longer than they said to get someone to hang the drapes.

Abbey is a very active place with plenty of room for members participation. In the Independent group, We have a resident Council made up of independent members which meets on subjects such as Finance, Thrift Store, Grounds etc Our overall governing Board is Life Space. It oversees all the Life Space communities in the country. One thing I've been very impressed by is Abbey's concern for its staff who keeps this place humming. There is a Team Member Appreciation Fund & a Scholarship Fund & monies collected from sales in the Thrift Shop. Member donations go towards the children of our Staff. We have one girl headed for college now based on $$ from these funds. Also, a lot more for the younger ones( I am a bit hazy on this as I'm still new) Apparently the staff is quite happy and we have very few people who quit. Plus, the members are warm & friendly with the staff. My main reason for choosing Abbey is the friendliness & warmth here among everyone. I look forward to getting further imbedded with the Resident Council & learning a lot more.

When I moved here I was suppose to have someone to help me find my way around I did not. My duplex is very nice size. The staff have been very nice. Food was very good for about 6 months then it was very poor but the last month it has improved a lot. Maintenances need improvement on something. Getting things done you were promised when you moved here almost a year has passed and still no doggie door or sun shades in the sun room. Need a few improvements to make it a 5 stars.

Meadow Lake is the only memory care that we have been. Most of the staff is very caring and helpful. As a lot of other places like this they are often under staffed for personal care. The administrators are very good. The food is above average.

Other families, need to understand how the life care contract works. I would recommend Village on the Green.

My Mom is really thriving there after my father's death. She has made lots of friends and is very active in social groups and activities, and we are a bit surprised by that. I think socialization is encouraged by both the staff and the layout of the facility, and the residents are very friendly and welcoming.

I would recommend Meadow Lake to others. We picked them because of the location, overall facility environment, tour staff were not pushy, all of my questions were pleasantly answered

I have already recommended the Craig to several people. My in-laws like it there. They wish the food was a little more like home made but it would not be as healthy

We had some frustrations with nursing staff communications at first but staff have since changed and seems better. Activities staff are great and my aunt goes to alot of the activities. NP visits in house every 2 months are great and they have PT/OT in house which is nice

Our loved one has acclimated well into the community and appears to like his caregivers and fellow residents

I toured The Craig Senior Living and the community was nice, with very nice people who showed me around. We chose another community because The Craig does not accommodate or accept those who smoke. Once we were told that, we didn't feel the need to look further into their community.

This community was very comparable with another community that I went with. Just when I weighed things out there was another community that I was more favorable of.

We had a virtual tour with Friendship Village since it was in the middle of the pandemic. It was a nice facility but it was too big for my loved one. It was also hard to get a good feel for is since it was over video.

They're short of help, all the way around. That's the main challenge. Sometimes it's hard to find a nurse on the nursing floor. But I really like the assisted living building. They're very good with their activities and keeping their people up to date on things. I had one relative move to the wellness center from assisted living, and I would not do that if you can avoid it. They don't have the activities, and they're kind of isolated in wellness.

The Craig is a good place. The pandemic has changed several things for including the food. The food is being delivered to the residents now. The community has several activities for the residents to choose from outside of the pandemic.

we focused mainly on the Independent Living side of things at The Craig & could not be more impressed. What a beautiful place! Everyone was friendly & courteous. The grounds are spectacular. We had only a brief tour of the Assisted Living side of the facility & at face value it did not look like what we were looking for. We would need to go back again before making a decision.

The staff at this community seemed nice. They offer daily activities. I would have chosen this community if it was in a better location for us. The community seemed clean when we visited.

The staff was great and they are attentive to the residents. The community was clean. I didn't get to get around the whole community on my tour, but what I saw the staff are great with the residents. The meals look descent. I would recommend them.

They are doing much better. There was some miscommunication and mix up in the beginning, but that seems to be worked out now. They are a very nice facility, clean, friendly staff. It seems to be working out pretty well so far.
