The staff was so sweet. They could use more activities. It is a really good facility, and the best in the state. My husband is very happy. They take really good care of my him. The location is close.

My family member is in care at this Grand Villa location and I can't say enough great things about the staff and how much they really do CARE. Putting a loved one in care during these past COVID years has been grueling to say the least; extreme staffing shortages, limited visitations, window visits, masks. The staff is exhausted and you can see that YET they show up and treat the residents with respect and dignity. Specifically, I've observed aides reading to residents, extra time with those non-verbal, playing memory games (quizzing on musical artists) dancing with residents, and giving redirecting tasks to residents who act get frustrated. This industry really needs to pay so much more for those that do DAILY what we caregivers realized we can no longer do. Great place truly because of the great staff!

The staff and facilities are top notch. And the residents have been very welcoming to my mother. The staff is very caring and respectful and responsive to her needs. They offer many social activities and try to include and encourage all residents to participate. It has been life-changing for my mother. We are both very pleased with her experience at Fairwinds.

Hawthorne Court is absolutely phenomenal. I feel they saved my dad's life. I would encourage other families seeking out a place for their loved one, whether it's Hawthorne Court or elsewhere, to identify what their loved one needs and to facilitate where their loved one needs to be for THEIR comfortability. I think we forget that as people, everyone has their own needs/preferences, and it's your elderly loved one who needs to feel comfortable where they live and who they're socializing with. It turns out home wasn't the best place for our loved one like I thought it was, and I didn't realize until touring all the things he needed that we (unintentionally) weren't providing for him. He had lost a considerable amount of weight living by himself. The food here is phenomenal. Chef [name removed] is phenomenal. [name removed] and [name removed], the servers, are phenomenal, because they encourage the residents to eat. He's gained a healthy amount of weight since he's been there. The food is good, and they have anything you want at any time of the day you want it, which is a huge plus for him. They have great activities, including strength and balance classes every day. At additional cost, they provide enhancement classes, which have provided great continuity and engagement for him. My dad is never just sitting in his room, which is super important. The nursing staff is ON. They know exactly what is going on. They're engaging and intuitive. They know everyone's name, and they know where everyone needs to be. It's truly a family setting. He gets his own independence at his own pace here. And let's not forget about cleanliness. Every week they change his sheets and clean his room, and their service is top notch. Everything gets disinfected. And nobody is crabby. I haven't met one person who is unhappy there. It's not phony either - they genuinely all love what they do. So I commend their housekeeping staff, and their staff in general. I travel a lot, and Hawthorne has been right there for me helping transport him to doctor appointments, and they even stopped at the pharmacy to get a new prescription for him when I couldn't be there. When you're the one in charge of your parent's care, who is your backup? That's how I figured out I needed help and that my dad needed to be there. And Hawthorne has been that reliable backup that I've truly needed.

I toured Grace Senior Living of Lake Orion and the facility was gorgeous. However, the sales woman that conducted our tour was not willing to work with us. I'm unsure if she was the accessor, but we let her know about some of my dads issues. She let us know that if he could get his behavior together he could move in; but we were moving him because of, and to improve his behavior. She tried to be very polite, but her response(s) came off a bit snobby. Grace Senior Living has a beautiful community with a lot of amenities offered, and things to do. I even spoke to some of the workers and they seemed very nice. I also wanted to move my dad there because there were a lot of male residents. The staff told us that he would've been able to have a male aide the entire time; but the sales woman was so against us moving him in.

So far, the experience has been really good. Marni who is in charge of leasing was excellent! Answered a ton of questions and showed us around on multiple visits. Plus, introduced my mom to a number of people pre/post moving in. That was super helpful in our decision making process.

My kids toured Fariwinds first before the many others that they looked at and this was the facility that they liked the most . My friend has been here a little over a month and it has turned out to be a really good experience for him. The value for the money is definitely there, especially for all that you get. The facility itself is very nice and always clean. I would absolutely recommend Fairwinds Woodward Park to others looking.

Unfortunately our loved one was not there long and we really only dealt with the administration but they were very accommodating. They were very good about the billing and refunding which we did not expect. Before our loved one was able to move in they held the room with no problem. We were very impressed with Hawthorne Court.

Our family had an in person tour and Dancing River is just a beautiful beautiful community, and you could tell it was very well ran. We really loved the way the rooms were set up and laid out, they have shared suites there but they are still somewhat separated. The overall tour experience and community itself was very impressive

The staff were friendly and nice. The community was more expensive and didn't have a warm feeling to it.

I tell everybody all the time that I'm very happy my loved one is happy and comfortable here. It's definitely a family-oriented place. The staff is awesome. The food is great. I have no complaints whatsoever. My mom is very happy, and I'm happy as well. I think we picked out a great place, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

We went with Grand Villa of Pinellas Park because it was a smaller facility and they seemed to give more care than the others that we looked into. Everyone has been super friendly. They have a really good activities director. I would definitely recommend them to others looking. I would go here myself if I needed this type of care.

From start to possible finish - it was a 5 Star Experience! From the first phone call with [name removed] , to checking out their website/literature/newsletter/, “The Tour” by [name removed] who was welcoming, understanding and most importantly she is passionate about her job. She gave a great tour, we both asked ?s, got answers. Pleasant surprises are family owned, residents like the place, staff is pleasant, NO call bell goes unanswered = IF NOT answered in 15 minutes, a page goes to the family owner = Very Rarely Happens! Lastly, G V of D is on our list!

You can rest assured that your loved one is in good hands at Grand Villa of Melbourne. Mom has been a resident there for several years she has received excellent care from all staff. The food is always fresh and appetizing!

No place is perfect but we have been very happy with our experience Dancing River. It is pricey but it is worth it for the great care that she is getting. My mom seems happy here, it took her a while to participate in the activities but she is doing great now. She has made some friends, the lady at the hair salon has been wonderful and so helpful and she also loves the maintenance man, they are buds. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

Moved mom in today. Everyone has made this an easy transition. Knowing mom is in good hands with people who care. Thanks [names removed]

This community was amazing and top notch however, it was out of my loved ones budget. There were a lot of amenities and everything of another community that I was looking at but the only difference is that this building was very big. The residents were also different based on the budget so I did not feel like my loved one would feel at home.

It has been a very warm and caring Community since I lost my wife, [name removed].

We love it! My mom loves her apartment. It's very nice.
