This location was brand new, it wasn't even open when I toured. It all looked nice, but I really wanted somewhere more tried and true for my loved one. It would be too confusing and not a good environment for her with all the staff just learning their routines, I wanted somewhere more settled down.

Spoke with the director. Must furnish proof that residents have financial resources for two years. Fees are inclusive of nursing services. landline phone is extra. Doc transportation for 10 mile radius.Kitchenette with microwave and coffeemaker. Residents wear pendants for emergency, 1st and garden floors at $4,500 available.

My Dad lived at this facility for 2 years in Memory Unit. Basics such as food and nursing were good. Memory Care activities not top notch, could use more imagination tactile and sensory experiences mostly seemed to involve trivia which my Dad could not partipate in. Or old shows on television Dad passed away recently and no presence at funeral or sympathy card.

This place has only been opened for a few weeks but it is one in a chain. Therefore, not having any twice weekly trips organized because " we are still trying to get things together" is not an excuse. Pus ,on the twice weekly trips that havent started yet, there is room on van for only 2 wheelchairs. This may pose a problem in aot.of residents are in wheelchairs. Hope they get their act together soon .

The food is terrible, provided by a hospital purveyor. It's hospital food. Staff is very friendly, but there is a very high staff turnover. Rooms are big. Somehow the leadership manages to hold it all together... somehow.

Was excited about getting my brother there! Had high hopes but turned out to be a disaster. Obviously for higher functioning residents. Not happy with them. The day he moved in no one came to or show him where dining room was. Then they were said he was wondering the halls. One week later he became ill and that caused belligerent behavior. He was hospitalized for 10 days and mentally cleared to baseline. But they refused to let him return to Bentley. They refused to give me any refund and he was there all of eight days. While he was in hospital was told I had one week to get his room cleaned out. A number of his items disappeared but I have no proof where they went. It is a beautiful facility with wonderful food and he was looking forward to living there. Very depressing and upsetting. His behavior was medically induced it took 10 days to get back to his baseline.

Common area bathrooms were unusable. Friendliness is just an average - some people were amazing others downright nasty. The care services are limited only good for fully independent people. The meals started as a 4, but ended as a 2 (6 months later) and a 1 if you ate in your room when sick, no drinks no dessert, food would be cold. I saw a guy drop a tray on the floor, pick up the food and deliver it. Value for cost is a 3 because fully independent.

Everything is a 2 out of five. Except being friendly. They are. It's just understaffed and it's a tough job that can't attract people. My mom died in two Months there.

This was the wrong facility for [name removed]. They were recommending we look into nursing homes. We transferred her to another assisted living and she is doing much better. They were just not able to meet her needs. I wish we had known that in advance.

I would say the director is very nice and caring but the place is understaffed. The whole med department needs an overhaul. A lot of building issues, leaks, faulty electrical and I know they are working on remodel but it is REALLY slow.

My experience at the end of my Dad's time there soured everything. The contract stated they would provide 30 day notice if the resident had to go elsewhere - I was basically told one day he was being sent to the hospital and could not come back. HORRIBLE experience. The only reason they are getting a 2 for #1 and #4 instead of a 1 is because the 16 months prior to that were ok.

My father and stepmother needed additional attention. They had a condo for 20 yrs, independent living for 1 yr. The furniture they brought to assisted was new at independent except a few items from the condo. Never any issues. A month after moving to this facility, they had bed bugs. They were confined to their room, accused of bringing them to the facility. They did NOT. had people spraying, their clothes removed. Terrible 3 months. Clothes returned from laundry, didn't belong to them. had to replace clothing as theirs never surfaced. family couldn't do laundry just staff. I even had his initials on some items. all missing. The underwear returned were bikini designer name and fit a 12 yr old. Not his. The only good part was the food was better than independent. the extra charges for special needs were outrageous and they did not receive special care. Everything from assisted was moved to independent. NO bed bugs. Their room at assisted had the bugs. Not them

I took my mom out of the All American in August 2022. She was there for 5 months and was hospitalized 3x for dehydration. My experience with the All American Memory Care unit is that they are lovely, kind people who were poorly managed and supervised. There was a lack of consistency in procedures from shift to shift . The left hand did not seem to know what the right hand was doing. I don't think they are truly knowledgeable and/or capable of effectively running a Memory Care unit when it comes to staffing , training, warning signs , consistent procedures . I would not recommend the MCU. Perhaps the Assisted Living part of the program meets the clients' needs more effectively.

We picked this community, because of the proximit, and cost. The experience was disappointing, frustrating, emotionally draining, and deceptive. They can improve on communication! Meeting expectations which they had defined, and responsiveness.

They promise much more than they offer. Their brochure says they offer "Exercise Physiologists offering over 150 different fitness and wellness classes and diagnosis-specific programs." This was promised during the in take, but it was impossible to get our loved one started in this program, even with a doctors order. I'm not convinced it actually exists. They provide very limited transportation to doctors visits, so you ultimately are responsible for transport. Very limited skilled medical team on site, and very inconsistent. This place may be ok if your loved one is fully independent, but if they need any significant level of care, I would not trust or recommend this place.

I toured with Merryvale Assisted Living and was not very impressed by what I saw. The facility itself was very dated, it was a little disorganized, and I did not care for the layout.

I was not thrilled with Bentley Commons. It was not what we were expecting. Some of it wasn't their fault, it is just a smaller place with not many activities and we were wanting something bigger. Some of the staff were not super friendly and welcoming, administrative staff were friendly and accommodating but once my parents moved in I never heard from them. It would have been nice to get some follow up from them to check and see who things were going. I would tell others looking to seek people out who are there and talk to them and see how they are liking the facility.

Do Not go at least to this location. When a resident has a problem, management has a habit of blaming the familye family. The management is horrific. The people that are there need to replace the management. I believe this is their whole problem. The communication was poorly handled during the pandemic. The Nurse Manager is horrible. She has disrespect for families, staff, and residents. I think she is the cancer of the whole community. My loved one became so miserable I began looking for another location. However, I ended up moving him home after 5 months because he was so distraught. One positive note, there were a couple of wonderful CNA's who made a major difference in my husband's life. They treat their team members poorly and this causes poor morale. All American has turnover. The staff isn't allowed to comfort and be friendly to the residents during the pandemic. They don't have good medicine management and they don't have any oversight of the nursing staff. There was nothing to cheer the residents up during the holidays. There is no contact numbers or emails for management. This makes it hard to have contact for any issues. The food is horrible, and they run out of food for the residents. This isn't gourmet meals.

Unfortunately my mother was not able to stay in this community. She enjoys walking around, and she was wondering around all. They have an one strike, and your out the community. I did find other community that suited our needs.

All American community is pretty well maintained, the original staff was very caring and friendly, now there is only a few staff members that are friendly. You get what you pay for at this community, they have cut the staff back so much that they aren't able to keep up with the services they promised. However the workers seem to generally care, they just aren't given enough time to spend with the residents to do a proper caring job. Before COVID they had activities like bingo, scrabble, bowling, they would have entertainment groups come in around the holidays. It is a neat facility, but slightly awkward. Two residents share one bathroom per suite. The communication with this community is absolutely terrible, they never keep us up to date when something happens with our loved on.
