Juniper Communities

On behalf of my family I want to express our deepest gratitude to you and your staff at Juniper Village at Forest Hills for all that you are doing for our Aunt, and all of the other residents at the community! You have always gone above and beyond with her care and with accommodating our family. We can not thank you and your staff enough for the care you have provided We are very grateful that our family decided to place our Aunt at Juniper Village at Forest Hills. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

Juniper Village has far exceeded our expectations for my father. The number of activities, outings and social events are incredible. The staff and community of seniors are so nice to him and he truly enjoys the quiet beautiful setting. He walks 2 miles every morning on the walkway throughout the community and enjoys sitting on his front and back porches. He loves the outings (especially the ones to get ice cream). We are so thrilled to watch him thriving at this stage of life!

We toured this facility and were blown away with the cleanliness, kindness of employees, attention to detail, and knowledge of staff. We feel so much better knowing that when the time comes, we have the perfect spot to place our aging parent. She will love the warm and caring environment that awaits her at Juniper Village.

We placed my grandmother here when we noticed she needed more assistance with overall care due to her Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. We were thoroughly pleased with her care. The staff were amazing and her quality of life was better. I couldn’t have been more happy to visit my grandma with my kids here.

Juniper Village is wonderful. My great grandmother lived at Juniper for many years. She recently passed away and thankfully she was able to do so at what she considered to be her home. And she was right! The care she received while living at Juniper was amazing. You can train staff but you cannot train them to care the way they do at Juniper. I would recommend Juniper to anyone who wants a loving, caring place to take care of their loved one

I visit Juniper Village routinely and see first hand the warm caring environment provided for the residents. I’m my profession, I have the opportunity to visit many senior care homes in the area. I highly recommend Juniper Village of Mount Joy!!

My mother spent several months at The Devon before her passing. She had serious health issues and required constant attention. The staff provided top quality treatment and communicated with me regularly about her status. I visited frequently and interacted with other residents all of whom seemed happy and well adjusted. The Devon is a smaller, noninstitutional living facility that feels very "homey." It is a great alternative to some of the larger places in the area.

My mother's quality of life increased tremendously once she moved to Juniper Village. Her physical health was monitored and managed by the nursing team. That peace of mind was our primary reason for seeking care. In a very short time we saw her mood elevate, she spoke of staff and other residents as friends, and told us about the activities she had taken part in. We observed how the staff treated and connected with the folks that live there, as well as their families. It is a pleasant place surrounded by people that care for one another. We have no regrets!

Mom has lived here for over 2 years. Staff is always friendly, patient, accommodating and positive with all residents. Facility is welcoming to visitors and guests. Food is nutritious, appealing and tasty. Activities are varied and residents always encouraged to participate. I'm always contacted if there is any concern or change in health status. I'm very happy with Mom's care here.

The facility with its incredibility large outdoor area sold me as the best place for my wife, the food and activities make me know I made the right decision and the quality of the staff reinforces that decision and allows me to have peace of mind knowing she is well cared for.

Poets Walk has taken care of our Uncle until his passing last week. He was in independent living until mini strokes robbed him of his abilities to talk and communicate, a lot of his memory and ability take care of himself. We had nurses seeing hime 2x day but after a while he was too much of a fall risk hence the move to Poet's where he had 24 hr care available for his rehab and safety. The staff and rehab people kept trying to work with him until it was necessary to turn him over to Hospice care 5 months later. Hospice came in and worked the entire time with Poet's team to make sure that his last days there were comfortable as possible. They all took the heavy burden of worry off our shoulders so all we needed to do was visit with him and know that they were at first working with him so he was safe getting around, using his walker, eating well and being with others. When the time came, they all kept him comfortable. and attended to him and his hospice nurse was at his side when he passed. Thank you to all of you who cared for Al, he was a fine gentleman who lived his life well thanks to you.

Excellent tour from [name removed]. Appreciated the individual adjustments to support the residents "where they are", in their reality. Really liked the small feel in a larger facility. [Name removed] invited me to attend the support group whether or not I used his community for my husband. Staff was energetic and very friendly.

Juniper Village in Meadville is the best place to stay for all Seniors. Great local and can drive close to all shopping areas . If need to can ride bus or walk. The staff are amazing so nice and kind and very helpful with all our needs. The rooms are just right. The food is just like home cooking.

My mother has been at Brookdale Preston for nearly 4 years now. I have been nothing less than thrilled with the level of care she has received. As with anywhere, there will be hiccups along the way, but Brookdale is fantastic about addressing & fixing any issues. I always feel welcomed & comfortable. Mom is thriving with activities, socializing, etc. But the best thing is the level of healthcare they get. Mom became ill over the summer. They called me immediately. During her treatment & recovery, Brookdale Preston's first concern was for her well being and the well being of every resident. Not only that, but they offered support & superior communication during that time. She recovered quickly! Keep up the great work, Brookdale!

My mother has been there 13 years and she loves it! The staff is friendly and provides a variety of activities that keep her active!

Nursing staff is excellent! Can ask for help if you need it! Housekeepers help keep your room clean and fresh towels and your laundry (on Monday) kitchen help makes good meals. Can have something made to order. Connections dept has many good activities, grocery bus 2pm Tuesday.

My mother lived at Juniper Village for a little over a year. My dad lived there also, but for only 4 months. I enjoyed visiting my parents there. The entire staff was very friendly and took very good care of my parents. They were also friendly to the family. It is well kept and clean. I would recommend it other people. In fact we did. Thank you to everyone that was involved.

My family was so grateful for the care my mom received at JV. Every single one person involved with my mom was kind and supportive. We felt that no other place could have been a better fit.
