My first impression was "family". Everyone knew residents by name and family members names. This a true extended family community.

My mom really likes it there, other than the fact that when she rings her buzzer, sometimes she has to ring it several times before somebody responds. When she orders food to her room, sometimes it takes three hours to get there. It seems they might be short-staffed. But the staff they do have are great. Everyone is very friendly and nice. The food is great. And the facility is clean.

I toured Brighton Gardens of Northville and it was a nice, clean facility. We chose another community because Brighton Gardens just wasn't a good fit for our loved one.

We really like the Sunrise on Clayton community, it feels very homey and its just beautiful. Right when you walk in on the memory care floor something that we are always impressed with is the cleanliness, it is spotless. It also does not feel like a memory care unit, there are little livings rooms with small seating areas with TV's, there is also a patio you can go relax on when the weather is nice. We really appreciate that the staff on all levels are always willing to engage in conversation especially the management team. The activities director is just fantastic, he always has things going on during the week for those who want to participate. Besides the regular in house activities, he has done different things like taking the residents around town during Christmas time to see all the lights. They have gone to the zoo, he will have a men's day and a women's day. There is a beautician there that will take appointments for the residents to get their hair cut, a shave and nails done. They have transportation that will take the residents to and from doctors appointments. They even bring in outside helpers to take the residents dogs out for walks.

It is simply wonderful to live at a place where everybody here cares for one another. The care services so far have been very good. They do have really good activities, the kids from the local school get a chance to come over and we are able to visit and tell stories back and forth. They are also throwing a BBQ party this weekend for Memorial Day. Based on the experience I have had so far I would recommend The Montecito to other families.

This was a nice community. It felt very corporate and like a hotel. There was not enough individuality.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really nice experience

This community was okay it was jut not the right level of independence versus assistance for my loved one and what she needed at the time. It was a good tour.

My mother was in the Sunrise FH facility for almost 4 years and had the utmost personal attention for the most fabulous front desk employee {name removed}. She gave my my personal attention all the time painting her nails and giving her the goodies I’d bring. Very compassionate and cheerful to residents and visitors all the time. One of main reasons I was so happy to have my mom live out her life there.

I had a good tour experience with Brighton Gardens but the facility itself needed major updates, it looked very outdated.

The Brighton Gardens of Northville looks like a home and we have had a good experience so far. When we were moving our loved one from a different facility, that facility had a covid outbreak and our loved one tested positive. Brighton Gardens held our loved ones room for us for 30 days without any additional fees. They went the extra mile to work with us and were so accommodating.

Our family had an in person tour and there was nothing hugely wrong with this community, but we just felt the hallways were more narrow and closed in, it just did not have that super open and welcoming feeling to it.

This was a good community. This community was just not in our price range for what we were looking for for our loved one.

This is a nice community.

Everything has gone very smoothly, and they have been extremely helpful to me. My biggest issue has been more my mother's treatment of a couple of the aides. But they're doing such a good job, and I haven't had any issues. They call and give me updates, and let me know things they're noticing or seeing, which is very helpful. She seems satisfied with the food, and tells me things like she had a good meal the other evening. I'm really glad we moved her there.

To me most staff has been great. However according to my mom, several of them have been really mean to her. It was a real concern to me when I had to ask for a re-evaluation of her meds. I believe Mom was overpaying for quite some time. Concerned that they charge for in-room meals.

One plus for us was the insurance required a nurse that was at least onsite every day. The hours could be flexible - they just needed a nurse onsite daily, which Sunrise had. In my area, that just didn't exist at this cost except at Sunrise. I ended up liking it there - it was a nice facility and well laid out. And I liked the frequency of care they provided. I got the impression they were understaffed at times, but I understand it's hard to hire people these days. And the staff they did have I could see were trying really hard.

We chose Brighton Gardens because they offered memory care here. They do offer shared and private rooms at this facility. I think that the front line staff members here are excellent who work with my mom all the time, they have done a really great job. I would recommend to others looking.

As soon as I entered the facility and talked with people I felt this could be a place I would live so it would be very nice for my father.
