Everyone remarks about how lucky we are to have such a great staff. They are very helpful and positive. From [names removed] in maintenance to the kitchen and serving crew--all very warm, welcoming and caring. I believe this is very important in providing a safe and reassuring environment. The staff at the front desk are exceptional and represents the Woods to those coming in for the first time. They are all an access to the Woods. I need to say that [name removed] is exceptional. She is very professional, organized and effective. I have no doubt that she could manage the operation of the facility and staff if call upon to do so.

Having a loved one suffer from dementia is traumatizing. We tried keeping her at home, but safety was becoming an issue. New Haven Court opened new doors for my mom, her own place, activities, and peace of mind knowing she’s safe. She loves being outside; walking watching the horses or golfers. This place has made me and my family realize that this was the best decision

Welcoming & comfortable home. Clean and nice facility design with caring staff and residents. Peaceful & quiet accommodations. Recommended for all types of guests and situations. Variety in meals and meal times along with party & other celebrations for residents & guests. Caring & supportive towards residents all the time. They encourage & remind residents of activities to get them involved and do the same towards activities, church or meetings.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Seem very competent as well. Facility is clean, up to date and well maintained.

The care they showed for mom was fantastic. She was truly treated like family! When mom passed you could see many staff were visibly affected by her death .

We recently made the decision to move my mom into Fitz Farm in York. This was a big move for our mom because she was almost 90 years old and lived in MD most of her life. But she has excelled. From the moment I met the Community Relations Director and walked inside I knew it was a right fit for my mom. My mom is an introvert and being 90 she is set in her ways. However, everyone I have met has been warm and welcoming. The Community Relations Director has always been available to answer any questions or direct us to the appropriate person. It has a beautiful lobby, dining room and private rooms. Every floor is always clean and beautifully decorated. But more important it is how my mom is treated. Age does not matter at Fitz, they do not have you just sit in a wheelchair they have activities planned and it is a "happy place" you feel it when you step through the doors. Fitz is the place all retirement homes should aspire to be.

This was a very difficult transition for our father. The staff encouraged and reassured us that everything would work out. We felt that they really cared about our father and about his family. They have answered all our questions in a timely manner. My husbands mother spent 3 years at Colonial and received excellent care. There was no question about having my father at Colonial Courtyard.. I highly recommend that you consider this facility for the care of your loved ones.

My family moved me into the community recently and i absolutely love the activities, staff, meals, and the other residents. I have made so many friends. The staff have been very supportive of my transition. Would highly recommend this home.

Overall, it’s a very family oriented environment. My husband and I have lived her for a year and enjoy it. We love the caring staff and the excellent care. We enjoy are days and all the happenings offered.

I quickly realized I needed to move my husband into memory care, as I was overwhelmed at home managing all of his ADL's. It wasn't safe for him or myself to be handling this level of care. The team at CLC had been amazingly welcoming and this transition has allowed me to become a wife again. It is a big transition, but with the supports that are in place, I was able to make the transition. I should have done this much sooner.

Friendly staff and good food. Always activities available. I love how it is easy for the residents to make friends with others. The staff provides quality care in order for the residents to be happy with their stay!!!!

We suddenly needed care for my mother after a fall at home, followed by a few weeks of rehabilitation. We had heard so many positive things about Candle Light Cove from family friends of ours; we knew we had to tour as we were researching for something quickly. Thankfully, they had 2 rooms available! The team was so welcoming and went above and beyond to get her admitted quickly and safely, while also making her feel at home. She has had exceptional care. The team truly cares about the residents and families at CLC.

Staff and admin are wonderful - walked me through a rough placement for an elderly parent that did not want to to be placed but has significant needs that cannot be met without ongoing assistance - the staff was patient, informative and kept me updated regarding his daily progress with acclimating to the placement - the location is great the property is beautiful. The staff is so friendly and helpful I know that my parent is safe and is being provided excellent care. My parent is communicative and loves goofing around with the staff. I just wish there were more communicative male residents that he could bond with- the staff listened to my concerns and are working on starting a men’s group just for that purpose.

Colonial courtyard offers many activities for residents. They keep them engaged and bring community members involved in the activities. Staff and caring and professional. The site is clean and pleasant to visit.

When My Mother in Law and later my Mother was a resident at Colonial CourtYard , we found the staff to be very caring. The rooms and facility is almost like being at home . Good nourishing meals provided. Also love the fun activities

The staff have been excellent to deal with and are very caring of the residents. The staff is easy to get in contact with. There are so many activities for the residents and the facility is always very clean. Staff are always available.

I worked in a lot of facilities and never came to a memory care unit so intact. 4th floor gets an A+ , from the caregivers [name removed] AND [name removed] to the housekeeper [name removed] down to the activities [name removed] ALL WORK WELL TOGETHER. THEY DO SUCH A GREAT JOB CARING FOR THESE RESIDENTS .GREAT JOB LADIES AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES WE NEED MORE LIKE YOU Ps…THE FLOOR IS VERY CLEAN AND SMELLS LIKE LAVENDER AND ROOMS ARE CLEAN

My mother [name removed] has lived here for almost 3 years , everyone of these workers I consider my friends ! I must name a few that excel in what they do [name removed] takes great care of my mom in dining room along with all the servers . [name removed], [name removed], [name removed]are fantastic , the agency workers are also great especially [name removed]! But I must mention the dedicated housekeeper [name removed]who always checks on mom . I appreciate every single care giver ! Thanks for everything, activity girls and [name removed]fantastic

I have visited Chestnut Ridge and it always looks so nice and clean, and it always smells so pleasant. The housekeeping dept does a wonderful job under the supervision of [name removed]. Keep up the great work!!!

My uncle moved into this community just after Christmas last year. He was coming from a skilled care facility that he really liked, so he was skeptical. Newhaven Court made him feel at home immediately. His children were nervous because he is an extremely picky eater. The food service director met with him and his family and came up with a plan for meals if he didn't like the choices. The staff made him feel welcome from the very first day. The other residents around him welcomed him, also. Including the resident next door and her dog! Newhaven has gone far above and beyond to make all of us feel right at home.
