My mother loves it there. BUT I think they're unethical. After 1 year they already raised her rent 20%, there's no cleaning lady anymore The driving service will only drive before noon. And a nickelondon for every single additional service if a family member stops by I'm announced a meal they charge if she's not feeling well and she asks for a trade to be brought to her cause she doesn't feel like she can get out of bed they charge a medicinal $10 for a meal that our is already supposed to be paid for

In general the community is nice for the money. The food is not great and they have trouble getting staff.

It was not wanted for myself yet. I'm still very independent, didn't like being on such a schedule w/everything planned out ( if one wanted to take advantage. Great place for some folks and some wonderful families. I wasn't looking for three meals a day and I still drive so didn't really need such services at this time. I made some good friends and every person there has a story to tell. I have bought a manufactured home in Dover. I have family near by and this is working out good for me. Thank you for checking in. I was told by office staff that when and if I am ever ready; I am welcome back. The best thing for me there is that they have physical therapy in house and that helped me tremendously. I was able to take advantage of that, got a lot of walking in and took advantage of exercise classes.

This facility has gone through a lot of staff change this year... but is doing better. Food has been an issue. Chef dismissed and new Chef is trying hard but not there yet. Facility is the best part... property is off by itself and very pleasant. Big issue can be residents that should be in an Assisted living situation... however staff does work hard to deal with these situations. Recommendation for this facility would be made, but caution that this life transition can be hard and will take adjustment .

It is not an assisted living facility. They need to improve on the cleaning. I would still recommend them.

I would recommend this facility for the cost. Meal delivery is poor, lots of times the food is cold. I don't know why food isn't put into a heated cart. It all depends on how many meals they have to deliver at dinner time. Some of the staff, kindness seems forced. The move in process was painless, except for the contract was screwed up. We ended up telling them what was wrong. Housekeeping is great, the woman that does the cleaning is very nice.

We picked this community because it probably had a lot to do with [name removed]She was very kind and when you walk in - the place looks beautiful! Also it's "independent" not "assisted" and mom and I were good with that. I obviously would recommend the place.

It feels like home already. The staff is is very nice and the residents are all so friendly. I can be alone in my room if I want to be or I can be out with others anytime. The food is usually very good. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Don't believe anything they tell you. They lie. I would move out if I could. I do not recommend Briarcrest Estates.

Somehow I was expecting a different atmosphere. I believe I need less assistance than Crescent Heights can provide. For someone requiring caregiving as well as assisted living, this facility would be perfect. I can recommend it.

Family member was resident from 2021 thru 2023....Initially, management was always pleasant & helpful; food was excellent; & general atmosphere "homey". More recently struggled w maintenance issues. New management in 2023 rather cool/communications difficult. Didn't always follow thru on their own improvement recommendations. The on-site, private pay aides are the most kind, caring, & responsible group that I have ever dealt with!

My loved one is a resident at Holiday Greenwood Terrace and everything has been good. I would recommend this facility to others.

When we got the booklet and did a walk thru of the place it was very nice. They really talked about what they offer and that is why we picked AV. There is a lack of staff. Rooms not being clean. My mother in law cleans her room. That was one of the reason we picked Aspen View. No compensation on monthly bill either for this. Staff in office is very friendly. Transportation is lacking at times. They do give her a voucher for a cab if a driver for the van is not available. Running out of food at times. No cook. Being told they can only have milk or juice but not both. Again, no compensation on monthly bill. Residents did a trip to look at Christmas lights and everyone liked it. The activity part is very good. The office staff is doing its best. It seems the corporate office is the one who tells the residents "If you don't like it here move out". They are raising the monthly rate in June. We don't mind that but what they say they offer and not follow through is not right. Disappointed about lack of services (house cleaning), food (running out). It needs improvement via corporate not local staff. They are doing their best.

When I moved in here it was independent but now it looks like it should be assisted. We have more handicapped than other. Staff is great except some could be friendlier in the dining area.

My loved one made in 3 hours and we had to move her out due to her dementia. There's security but only during the day. She went out front door in a snowstorm and got locked out. Luckily, a worker saw her and she was safe.

I’m adjusting to having Mom here. They have a firm start for mealtimes. Don’t be late! Allows visiting time between residents. Most meals they start serving on time. No meals can be modified- they don’t offer any diabetic friendly options. All the staff help in all areas so at mealtimes the office ladies are helping in the dining area. Some servers also provide resident housekeeping and laundry. I don’t find the office staff interacting with the residents much except at mealtime. When requesting something for maintenance to be fixed , it happens quickly. There are minimal holiday decorations, nothing at Thanksgiving and only a Christmas tree when you enter - gorgeously decorated. Overall sterile environment. Activities available but we have not participated in most, yet. The other residents are friendly. There are 2 independent agencies on site. We’re paying the Chanan caregiver agency to provide escort to mealtime and they are friendly and helpful while learning my mom’s needs.

First impression was good compared to others, considering value. The shine as quickly rubbed off, but still meeting our needs.

They are way under staffed here. Maintenance, servers, cooks, cleaners. They are in the process of renovating the building - but they have been under staffed from day one. The Meals need improvement. They should have the meals planned by a dietician. The quality of food needs improvement. Simple example - I haven't seen a chicken breast served since 2nd week in October - Chicken legs or thighs. I heard from someone - the budget for food is only [name removed] a week from which the chef has to work. On average - 15 - 30 people attend meals - per sittings 3 times per day. I know the staff here is doing what they can, but it doesn't seem corporate wants to let them spend any money - I don't know.

I am currently a resident at Holiday The Manor at Oakridge and overall my experience at this facility has been okay. My recommendation: look at the cleanliness of the public areas. Look at the common area furnishings- newer, clean, in good repair? Talk with someone on staff, other than the person giving the tour. Peak into the kitchen- is it clean and in order? Is there updated equipment? Overall, I would not recommend Holiday The Manor at Oakridge to others.

Overall experience - mildly pleased. The community is very clean. Felt that the staff was just doing their assigned job with no extra zeal. My sister has Covid at present and they have made sure she has food delivered to her room and that she is safe which was the purpose for getting her to reside in a home. As I meet other residents they all seem to agree that the food is not up to par for a tasty meal. I cannot comment on the activities as my Sister has not participated in them at present.
