We toured at Andover Place while looking for a new home for my loved one. I thought that the community was very nice, and I liked that they seemed to have a lot of activities to keep the residents stimulated. However, this community was out of our budget.

I went on a tour here. The staff was nice and friendly. They answered all of my questions. The rooms were on the smaller side and it was more of an independent living and mom needed assisted living. I would recommend families tour this community before choosing a place.

Andover Place has been a great experience for me so far. I think one of their most positive attributes is the well- rounded meal service they provide. I'm a bit of a picky eater and sometimes there are things I do not personally like, but they always have options available. The staff is very friendly and very helpful, they have a pretty full activity schedule, and there is a housekeeper that comes once a week. I have been very happy here, and I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

We went on a tour here for my mom. The staff was nice and friendly. They answered all of our questions. It looked nice and clean in there. But my mom said it was to fancy for her, she is more down to earth for that.

As of 12/08/2017: The smallest studio starts at $1,700. And there's a one-time non-refundable fee of $2,700. Even though it can be spread over three months ($900/mo)], that's a lot of money that's neither refundable or applied to rent. No swimming pool or security (not gated nor secured entry access to building). Otherwise, lots of amenities offered.

While looking into various options for my mother, I noticed that this location is newer and nicer. However it just didn’t have the vibe that I would like my mother to be in. Some things were not covered compared to other locations; however it’s not enough to say that I don’t like it. This location unfortunately, was just not the best fit for my mother.

The staff is nice and helpful. The food is good. It stays clean and tidy. My apartment is nice and has a little patio area. It is close to my doctors and the hospital so very convenient. I would recommend this community.

Loved the tour! The person we scheduled with was out sick but another person took us around. She was knowledgeable and provided good information. We met some residents and saw some rooms. We liked the location and price range was acceptable. When the time comes, we would return to look at this property.

I thought this facility was above average. The rent includes things like the heating and cooling, housekeeping, and laundry services. The rooms had a strange layout but they seemed to be more architecturally desirable. They have these cute corners in the apartment that are curved with glass to look outside. It’s a really nice facility with a mall just right down the street. The only thing I did not like is that there’s just too much traffic surrounding the community and there are no grounds to take a walk on. I would recommend this facility if you are in good physical condition and do not need a walker.

I was initially recommended this community through a mother of a friend and she had told me good things about the community. The people are friendly, the facility is in good repair, the food is fine, and there are plenty of activities. The staff team is very helpful, as I was settling in the maintenance team assisted me with assembling my furniture as it came in. For the food, there is a menu that changes daily. They publish it a week at a time. There are multiple choices from three to five options that is available for lunch and dinner. The dining area has a restaurant kind of atmosphere where you sit down and they would take your order. The have generous portion sizes from small, regular, and large. Their cleanliness is good too. They frequently clean the area to keep it well and organize. They can also provide towels and linens if you need it, and they would wash it for you too. As for the activities they do have trips to go to shows, various kinds of excursions in the local area, they have games, video lectures, and speakers. All in all I would recommend this community to others.

My grandma lives here in the independent living. She is really involved with church activities. And attends daily activities too. The caregivers are great. The dining room is nice and food is great. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I toured Simi, and loved it. They were very helpful and accommodating, allowing a friend and me to stay there two days to see how I liked it. The staff was nice and very helpful, making sure we had everything we needed. However, I found a community I liked better for a nicer price, so I ultimately did not stay with Simi.

I really liked this community but my brother did not. I felt like it was more upscale than other places. The room style was different and had a lot more corners than a square room. Since it is hard for my brother to get around, this could pose a problem. The other bad thing is that this community has 4 to 5 different floors and it would make it hard for him. The one thing that was nice is that it’s on the hillside looking over a lake. They also had more things for them to do like the library and a computer lab. It just seems like they have more things to do outside of the apartment. I would really recommend this facility.

Our thanks to [Removed] for an excellent tour of the facilities and taking the time to answer all of our questions. the facilities are older and are starting to show wear and tear but are in pretty good condition. [Removed] explained that the facility is going to get upgrades to all of the common areas over the next little while that will I am sure make the place even more appealing

[Removed] provided tour, showing 2 FL plans for 1 bdrm apts. Laundry rm free on ea FL. Costs slightly more than they can afford plus $4000 "activities" cost upfront. Transportation & Dr visits to S. County (not city) and no wheelchair access on bus. Resident-run chair exercises ea a.m. Chapel services & hair salon open a few days/wk. Really liked the community if it would cost less!

I thought Willow Grove was lovely. Looked at at a two bedroom ( without the balcony which we would actually request) and the rooms were spacious. If my aunt has to downsize from a large house at least these apartments feel less cramped. I liked the settings with woods surrounding most of the property. No highways and buildings for a view. I wish mealtime were more flexible but that's me. My aunt would be ok with set mealtimes. Although this is a retirement community and not an assisted living, I also appreciate that you can bring in additional services as needed.

I really liked Sheldon Oaks when we toured. The rooms were clean, and big, and nice. They had a small, manageable dining room with four servers to help, and they were willing to give us a double room at a single room price. They had lots of different activities and a great activity director. It was a beautiful community, but my mother-in-law didn’t like it there. She said she didn’t want to live in such a fancy place and be responsible for such a big room. I tried to tell her that they could take care of the room for her, and she wouldn’t have to clean it or do anything with it. Her decision was made though, and even though I really liked it, she didn’t.

I chose this community because I heard good things about it. And I'm glad I chose it. They are dog friendly which I love she is my companion. The food is acceptable although I can be a little picky sometimes. The staff is nice and responsive to my needs. I have enjoyed the exercise area and I attend Rosary. I would recommend this to my friends or family.

No longer lives in Ohio. She did visit when she lived there, and found the facility to be very nice; however, it was too large and she seemed overwhelmed just by the size.
