I relocated to be close to family and this community is wonderful. It is independent living and if I needed more help I would just contract people to help me. I have a suite here. It is always clean with no odors. They have 2 delicious meals a day. The staff is efficient and nice. They have a salon available to me. They have a weekly calendar with a different activity each day. They also offer PT and OT therapy if fact the PT director checked on me daily when I was having some respiratory issues. They have lots of pine trees and the grounds are pretty

Our tour was conducted by [Removed] . He was knowledgeable and very helpful. We found several options which will hopefully be acceptable to our relative who has to make the move. The facility showed well. We will involve another family member tomorrow. Here's hoping.

I live here currently and I love it! I love that they treat everyone so nicely. Everyone is so polite and the servers in the dining room immediately know your first name and make sure to pay attention to what you want. The food is about 95% perfect. I’ve had a few things that I didn’t like much, but they’re so willing to exchange things if you don’t like it. Other than that, the food has always been good and it’s nice that they’re able to bend a little bit to accommodate your needs. They’re just as sweet as they can be. I’ve also had a lot of interaction with the assistant manager and he helps wherever he’s needed. There was a time when there were a few people from the dining room that were out sick and he stayed every night until 7:30 just helping out and then finishing his own work. I think he’s my favorite out of the whole bunch. They call me by my first name and have been doing so since my second day here. It really makes you feel like you belong and I feel right at home. Even the other residents here are so easy to get along with; they want to meet you and make sure you’re enjoying the place. This was the only place that called me and made an appointment for me. I came in and right from the moment I stepped in, I was comfortable. I’ve never felt like a stranger here.

Everything is going really well here. My little dog and I really enjoy it. [Removed] at A Place for Mom referred this location to me and it was the best that I looked at and it was affordable. The staff is really friendly, great, and just really good. What stood out the most for me when I first toured the facility is the dining area. The meals are all going to be prepared and it really felt like a community. They provide many activities as well. Just last night I went on the bus with several other people and looked at the Christmas lights. There is usually something happening every day and there’s typically an outing every Friday. They also have a chapel here which I like going to the church services. There is also a beauty shop on site too. For my dog, I am able to walk her outside twice a day on the nice grassy area near the facility if the weather is nice. I definitely recommend this facility.

This place was amazing from the moment I walked it throughout my tour and meeting of staff throughout the day. It is clearly more a retirement center than assistive/nursing facility. That said, I can bring in. The support services as needed for my mom and still have her living in a facility that is more like a fancy hotel. I was thrilled when I was told that "this would be her home and whatever supports and accommodations she would need, could be delivered to her there. A big plus is that though it's three floors, there are elevators located throughout the building so Mom could easily get to the dining room, hair salon, excessive room, chapel etc. Definitely my choice of location for Mom when the times arrives.

I helped my friends get into this community and it couldn't get any better. They just needed a little extra help not full care so they have a company that will do what is called spot checks. And help them with their needs as they come up. So financially was a good move. Other places didn't offer this. This place is awesome. They have a trained chef so the food is amazing and it is restaurant style 3 course meals. The staff is friendly and know them by name they know my name. They bend over backwards for us. They come in and clean and do linens 1x a week. They do the personal laundry. I would recommend this community.

This place is just wonderful. Everything they do and have done for my Mom has been great. From the individuals that work there to the directors, everyone has been just wonderful and you can tell they like working there. Immediately when I walked into the place, I thought “this is it”. [Removed], from the first day I walked in, was compassionate and understanding and really made me feel at ease about making the decision to move my Mom in. He remembers the names of everyone that lives there and even my own family. The other gentleman, [Removed], was wonderful with helping as soon as a place became available. He was very sensitive and understanding. It was sweet to know that after all was said and done, [Removed] took the chance to give my mom a hug and tell her “welcome home”. It was so touching. They put my Mom with an ambassador to make sure she felt welcomed and had someone to rely on and show her around. The food is even phenomenal. Even the kitchen staff is great. I really can’t say enough about this place and we’re really thrilled with it.

A lot of the rooms are renovated. The cost is very affordable compare to other communities. They have some good employees there. The activities director and the sales guy are always cheerful and willing to help out the residents at anytime. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to stay there

The experience that my grandmother and her family had with Ironwood Estates was a wonderful one. I can not say enough good things about the place. The services and activities they provided were outstanding and it was nice to see they extended it out to family as well.

I've been in this community for 4 months and was promised things that have not happened. Like the refrigerator they told me they would be putting a large one in for me not this dorm size one. It is what I expected but just upset about the apartment. I was also told when I signed the papers that I had a full size bath tub and I don't . But overall it is very nice and they are doing the best they can. They come in and clean once a week. The food is good, it's the repetition i'm a little disappointed in. I would recommend people but I'd tell them to read the papers you sign.

This facility is one of the top two in the area and has a great reputation. All of the rooms are beautiful and they have a great staff. When we made the appointment to tour, [Removed] was so friendly and knowledgeable. They fed us lunch and coffee and if we wanted anything, they treated us like Queens. There are 3 to 4 ladies at the front desk and they all knew our names. This facility is very accommodating and I would recommend it.

My mom is currently a resident, but she will be moving soon to a new retirement community. The biggest concern is the quality and service of the meals. Many times the food is incorrectly prepared (burned, dried out, etc) and quite often a menu item is gone before they serve all of the residents. An example is one night they were supposed to have steak but, only about half of the residents who requested it were able receive it before they ran out. The rest of them were offered a green salad or cabbage roles. The soup has nothing in it, maybe a few carrots or a few pieces of potatoes. There seems to be a lack of protein with many of the meals. Many times ingredients are substituted in recipes without informing them. The kitchen staff seems to be continually understaffed, meal service takes close to 2 hours. We (the family) have spoken to management several times about the issues with the meals, but nothing seems to be changing. The transportation is reliable, the driver is friendly and they take an excursion once a week to various locations that the residents can suggest. The facility is clean, open and bright and there’s someone to meet you when you come in who can answer your questions. The residents utilize the common areas that are very comfortably furnished. My mom loves her little apartment, she has a great view of the lawn and the greenhouse, but unfortunately the issues with the meals and the lack of management to correct the situation over the last couple of months has prompted us to move her.

As soon as I walked into this facility, I fell in love. I just had a gut feeling when I walked in the door that this is the facility that my Mother will be in for the rest of her life. The atmosphere here is just so warm and homey. My mom loves it here! When we first walked into her apartment, it feels like a little home. From top to bottom, this is a wonderful place. The caring nature of the staff is amazing and they treat my mom like family. If she needs anything, they are on it right away. The feeling you get here is just so vibrant. There are amazing chandeliers that fill the ceilings and a lot of sky lighting; it’s glowing! I would absolutely recommend this community.

The staff here is so kind and so nice. I absolutely love my apartment they come in on Fridays to clean it for me. The food I have no complaints about it I only eat 2x a day and I'll cook in my apartment. There is a very kind excellent bus driver who is so helpful she'll take me to the store or doctor's appointment. I would recommend this to my friends.

We chose this place for mom because they have a very friendly staff and they have home health on site and I like that fact. The price is reasonable also. She loves playing her bridge. Some of the food is good and some of it isn't. They do have 4 options to choose from. It's clean and they decorate for all the holidays. the courtyard has benches to sit on if she wanted to go outside. There is only 1 thing I don't agree with and that is Taco Tuesday they set up a buffet for the residents and it's for a younger crowd. My mom can't stand there for that long and lunch is from 12:30 to 1:30 and staff don't ask them about the food till 1:30 if she wanted a plate brought to her then it's almost gone. Should really get the plates for the ones who can't stand there

So far Edgewood seems like an energetic, upbeat community. There’s a good diversity of age groups here, and the staff seems very attentive and helpful. My brother says the food is really good, and I think they have good facilities for activities. My brother is having a bit of a hard time warming up to the change, but the staff seems encouraging. I’d recommend this community to others.

We really enjoyed our visit to the residence. What a great idea to have a resident sitting with us for lunch. Information provided was clear and will be helpful with our future decision in choosing a residence. Thanks for caring and providing such a good facility for our retirees.

This community is my first choice. It has all the amenities one could want & everyone was very gracious & professional when I visited(twice, once with each daughter)
