Absolute "bait and switch"!!! Moved my mom into assisted living 3 weeks ago & they have been completely oblivious as to the "transition trauma" &, on Day 3, REQUIRED us to have outside help for 12 hours a day!!! Highly recommend looking elsewhere!!! I'm moving my mother elsewhere after 3 weeks!!! That's 3 weeks of their ridiculous fees + $20/hour for outside help to come in... Do the math... Biggest mistake of my life!

I’ve lived there and it was an awful experience the director is not interested in the residence says one thing then Denys she said it. Like she told me when i brought up the 3 month clause she told me to forget it then Denys she said it and is now that i moved out is demanding the full three months in rent

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. The Crossings treated my loved one horribly and I wish we'd never moved him here. It was an awful experience for him and our entire family. The memory care unit and corporate are both horrible. They handled his dementia horribly, ignoring clear signs of his aggravation and confusion. Communicating with corporate is no better. They have no sympathy, empathy or passion for caring for senior citizens, it's clearly all about how much money they can bring in. I would strongly advise against moving anyone into the Crossings.

If there was a rating less than one I would pick it. My Uncle passed 7/5/18. It was a difficult ending made worse by his mismanaged care at this facility. Dementia is a condition which takes many resources. The Crossing could not handle our uncle due to a plethora of excuses. His stay started off ok but as his dementia worsened the episodes of mis-handling their patient started adding up. Off hour personnel not following procedure and at the end, in-ability to perform for patient. Their lack of ability to provide care came at the cost of adding an outside sitter to be with patient overnight until the family could decide where to take our uncle because the cost of Crossing is very high plus the addition of a requested sitter by the Crossings Staff to be with patient overnight. It would have bankrupted resources. I had to leave vacation and come back to get our Uncle out of that facility with the help of 5 other family members. He passed 3 days later. The new Hospice nurse explained that our Uncle was in terminal agitation when first observed at new facility. A term and diagnosis we had not yet heard from staff at Crossings. Do not use this facility.

Once you move in and actually live there and see what is going on. It’s terrible. Very upset they kept residents locked in their rooms for over a month. And allowed no visitors. Way too much money for the service.

New facility that was not ready for what they said they would provide. Assisted living side is run poorly. Would not recommend if you take numerous meds. They can’t keep up. Changes in meds sometimes not documented. Nurses station not staffed around clock. Complaints from staff they are very busy and short staffed. Turn around on staffing was a lot for short time open. No farm to table food as advertised. Bistro is a machine and half the time no cups, snacks, etc. No market place as advertised, Stopped giving out snacks. Not sure on independent side. But, would NOT recommend assisted side.

My mother was in independent living and had a stroke. She was in rehab for 2 and a half months. We checked into getting her back to the Crossings in assisted living. They assessed her condition over the phone and never came to check her in person. After 2 weeks they decided she was too much to handle and said she had to leave. This could have been avoided if they had assessed her properly and not allowed her to come back so soon. Mom loves this place but now we have to move a 85 year old lady again because they did not do their job properly. Independent living was fine but I would think twice before you put anyone in assisted living at the crossings at harbor view.

The memory care unit had challenges in dealing with my Dad who has dementia. Rather than work with the family they pushed him out the door after a few months. Dealing with dementia is a huge challenge for a family - especially when the facility providing care is part of the problem.

I was so thrilled to find The Crossings and [Removed] is a delight to work with. However, the same can not be said of the nursing staff. My mother was in the hospital 3 times within three months due to the lack of nursing skill in determining health problems. When I expressed my concerns they were ignored. My mom is now looking for a new home. The Crossings has much to learn as a new facility.

Staffing is a certain issue hear, no one is around when you need them or the nursing staff is always running around from room to room. Administrative staff is non-supportive and/or never around, the poor nursing staff is always stepping in and attempting to cover for the administrations incompetence and lack of respsonsibility-no one knows what management is doing or where they are, a definate LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP. The rooms are only cleaned twice a week and believe me some of the apartment bathrooms could be cleaned daily, as I understand it is the nursing staffs responsibility to clean in between the housekeeping schedule, don't they have enough to do! This place is allowing residents to stay there where they should be in a nursing home to receive the proper care they need, they are taking away from the care and attention the actual ASSISSTED residents need. it seems this company is just interested in getting their money and could care less about the person and it is quite clear a definate lack of respect and concern for their nursing staff , isn't there some sort of violation here? I understand they were just given their license back after coming off of a provisionary license-hasn't administration learned anything!! This facility is also advertising 24 hr nursing staff, when on more than SEVERAL occasions there has not been a nurse scheduled or present in the building . This facility will have a Medication Aide/Tech on staff in the place of a Licensed Nurse on the evening and night shift on many occasions. To me this is the most crutial time to have a licensed nurse on staff since anything could happen and you would need a nurse on staff to handle these situations. Also the front doors are open most of the evening and night time allowing anyone to enter during the night and the conciere is not always at the front desk A definate SECURITY ISSUE here!! in my opinion pull your loved out of this place or do not take them at all before it is too late. The cost of living in this facility is way more than what you will receive in attention and care.
