Greenbrier Senior Living

I think like most places, they struggle with being understaffed. My mom is upstairs in assisted living. The nurses have all been very friendly and kind. I've never felt like my mother was unsafe there. They've always had plenty of activities downstairs but recently they started doing more upstairs which I love because my mom doesn't always feel comfortable going downstairs. Thinking back to when she started there, there was quite a bit left out of orientation so you're kind of on your own to figure out how to get things done thought you just have to keep asking questions. One thing that I wish they did was to offer times to review residents care with the family, at least in assisted living. I know that would be helpful for me and for my mom.

Community has lots of areas to be with friends. They are refreshing with new paint and have had much better and consistent staff. They have an alert system where a resident can push a button to get assistance. My Mom is in the assisted living section. I do not have experience with the memory care section. Mom complains about the food being 'gaseous' like broccoli, beans, corn. Don't think the food is what was advertised as being available in café and break areas. Think since COVID, they just haven't gotten back to it. They did raise prices by 10% which was a shock, but we've managed. All in all, I think it is a good fit for Mom.

My loved one is currently a resident at Maris Pointe and everything has been very good for her here at this facility. The staff and housekeeping are very friendly. The meals are okay. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

As I get to know more of the people they seem to be very genuine and trying to do a good job. Compared to the other facilities I saw, they are the best for the money. All are over priced in my opinion. They have added more staff and are making good changes. I am excited about the future with Brighton Gardens of Brentwood.

We had a bad experience, with the medication management, and there was lack of following-up. That was the number one thing that we needed. My loved one liked the people, food, and was happy with everything else. We were happy with the doctor, and the PT was excellent. Some of the staff was really friendly, and others were not as pleasant. Overall, It was a beautiful, and nice facility.

The staff are very friendly, but when it comes to these kinds of care, that is not enough. It was hard to get good and detailed information, they keep passing it along to another person. Weekends were worse, because they are not the regular staff. I don't know if I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

The process was easy, the staff seems to genuinely care about the residents, and I feel at ease knowing my dad has a nice place to live with staff that can assist on a daily basis when I'm unable to be there with him all of the time.

My family really likes the Red Cedar Glen employees consistently friendly spirit and can do attitude. Red Cedar Glen could possibly improve the physical area where it is located. The ditch that is in front of the property is unsightly.

Overall, this facility has been good and I have no objections about anything here. I do like the people that I have met here at this facility. I did notice that they had a lot of turnover with the administration, I don't know if that's indicative of anything. My loved one is a picky eater, but from what I've seen the food is okay. They do have an exercise class that my loved one participates in, which I'm happy about. I think I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

We picked this community because, they accepted sliding scale for diabetics. I like that they have techs for each floor. They could improve on communication with the family, and the friendliness of the door greeters. Overall, I would recommend to other families.

Highpoint at Cape Coral was also a very nice place, although I didn't see as many people out and around. It was also a larger facility in a busier area of town. Highpoint was also slightly more expensive than our other top two choices. This location does also have a pool which may be important for some people.

The Park Creek facility itself is really pretty and it just really has a bright and inviting feeling to it. They offer a lot of events for the residents living there and they seem to keep a lot of different resources posted up on the calendar for them - like activities. They seem to really have a good dining service there - occasionally a few meals may be better than others but overall it's been good with good choices.

The staff were really nice, friendly, and accommodating. They went the extra mile to make sure my mom was comfortable while she was there. They were very communicative and kept us in the loop / updated. They were short staffed but did the best they could and did a good job with my mom.

My mother has been living at Robin Way for about 8 months. So far it has been a good experience for her. The staff is friendly and caring. The rooms have everything to live very comfortably. Although my mom doesn’t care for the cuisine, anything I’ve eaten there has been good. Not excellent, but not bad either. Her laundry is done daily and has an aide checking in on her several times a day. If your parent likes it, there are activities to get involved in. They also hire outside entertainment to come in! We’ve looked at many other facilities in our city. This one is by far the nicest!

[name removed] in sales did a great job. She was very pleasant and helped us get my mom in quickly. Now that she's all moved in, my mom seems very happy - and that makes me happy. They're a little short-staffed, but the staff who are there are good. She tells me the food is very good. She 's happy with the activities - things like crafts, bingo, dominos, and events they hold for the residents. Our only comment would be it smells like urine sometimes, but that could just be a challenge that comes along with senior living. Overall she's very happy happy there.

It's a very beautiful and clean facility. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the days are packed with activities. Quality is generally high. The facility is under new management and a new owner. I literally haven't even had any correspondence from the new owners or managers to tell me who is taking peoples place that have left. It's a little bit of a cluster right now. We definitely have had some problems even with the old staff making sure that finance stuff happens correctly and that medicines are set up correctly and shower days and things. It's kind of been a lot harder than I thought it would be for what this facility seemed like it was. Overall, I would recommend this facility to friends and family.

The same, the folks take good care of mom.

Such nice people who were great communicating with the family - just sweet, sweet staff. I do wish the rooms had bigger windows to let in more natural light, but everything is clean.

February of 2022, my husband and I had an opportunity to go to Phoenix for 6 weeks. I needed respite care for my mother. Robin Way is only few facilities that offer this. Very friendly and helpful staff. I felt completely at ease having Mom there while we were gone. My mother did need more help so we decided to keep her there till the end of summer. Unfortunately she became sick, needing surgery in August. She is recuperating well at Robin Way. [name removed] has helped me so much with the transition of keeping Mom at Robin Way. Mom is happy and safe. I have met many other residents and it feels like a family. I have found peace of mind, believe me we are happy.

Red Cedar Glen has been fine overall. Some people are very nice, and some are just there to make a paycheck. Be sure that you visit and show your face., that they know you're there and attentive to your loved one so they stay attentive.
