Brookdale Eau Gallie is a very nice Assisted Living Facility, and my mom was there for about 4 years. The staff and everybody there is so nice. It’s a big facility with about 80 beds. The director was very professional and all of the people that took care of her were very patient. The facility itself was very good and very clean. The rooms were decorated so beautifully and we were able to make it feel like home; they even used her room as a model, because it looked so wonderful. The food was very good and the menu had a lot of choices to choose from. On holidays, there were parties and everyone got cakes for their birthdays. There was always music or musicians coming by to perform for the residents as well. I would definitely recommend them to others.

My mom has settled in quite well here and she loves to brag about "Our Chef" and the wonderful food that he prepares. Mom likes her apt and she had started to take part in the activities and the field trips they offer. All the staff are very friendly and attentive to their residents. There's a very nice courtyard that mom can go out on and visit with the other residents too. I would definitely suggest scheduling a tour.

[Removed] who is now the sales coordinator met me and spent two hours talking and showing me around. She was really a sweet helpful person a real doll. Everything was really clean and the people were very nice. I got to ask several people how they liked living there and what the drawbacks were. They all were positive except for the outdoor parking. I got to see two of the 2 bedrooms which is what I would need. They were currently occupied but the people were pleased to have me look. I told [Removed] if and when I move in and she needs to show one she can call me any time and if I'm at home come over, or even just bring them over if I gave her a key to do so. I know it's hard to move into areas like that and seeing something that is already furnished helps you decide can I get most of my stuff in. Hearing the people talk about their places also helped. I put my name on the waiting list for a 2 bedroom and she will call when one becomes available. That is the largest problem they have, not enough of the larger 2 bedrooms. They have some in Assisted Living, but they can't rent those out to Independent Living, or I could move in next month since a lady is leaving for her daughter's. When you talk to people who build these types of living tell them they really need to do more 2 bedrooms for those of us coming out of large homes. Both of the ladies said they came from large homes and had to cut down a lot, but a 1 bedroom would have been out of the question. She said I am the first one on the list now since she just place her last 2 bedroom in Independent Living. I already knew that I would have to cut down on this 4 bedroom a huge amount, but I think it is time, and after I finish I think I'll be happier with less to care for. Oh yes, she did suggest renters insurance just in case. I was very pleased with everything and the fact that it is only 3.5 miles from where I currently live which keeps me in the end of town I want to stay in, close to things I use all the time. Time will tell as to when I can make the move, but if and when a 2 bedroom opens I will probably put the entrance fees down to hold it. I love the fact that for a very minor amount I can do that. They have dropped their entry fee from 2500 to 2000 with 500 for pets.\, well within my means as is the monthly fee, I was afraid of the cost, but they have kept it almost what it was when I first looked over 12 years ago. She also gave me a list of when their scheduled transportation runs, and the food offering for the past three days so I could get an idea of that. I was able to get all my questions answered either by her or one of the ladies who's apartments I visited. Now I am in a waiting period until I get a call, at which time, down goes the deposit, and I start moving, then have a partial estate sale by a reputable person, and sell the house. [Removed] gave me the card of the real estate person who is helping her find a house since they are now renting; and the information on a lady who can come now and then to help with yard work that my lazy yard man ignores and I wind up doing, so that is a real help as well and went beyond what her job is. I also got a copy of the She also gave me a copy of the September Community connections newsletter with the daily information so I have an idea of what activities are available. All in all I am more impressed after having done the tour then I was with just visiting a friend there, and once the work and settling in, the move is done I think I will be very happy there and so will my cats. Plus my two boys can stop worrying. I sm not sure they are going to like my doing it, but it won't impact them. The only item I will pay for monthly besides the apartment is the cable because I want TV, Computer and Phone, and they only carry the basic for TV. They even include a monitoring button like I currently wear so I can switch to that and save my fee on the AARP one I have now. All in all I think what I save in my current home with the move will cover at east half if not more of the apartment monthly fee. I know I'd have been cramped in a 1 bedroom, but a 2 will do fine especially with the porch and 5h3 other buildings that have library, pool, exercise room etc, or just nice places to sit and talk or read if you want to "get out" but not leave the area. My mother is enjoying her time here in this community. It is working out well for her, and her needs. I know she is safe, and in good hands. They have a pleasant staff. They do a good job with the cleanness around the community. There are plenty of activities offered for the residents, and the food is delicious. She is doing great since her move to this community, and I would highly recommend it.

The tour from this community was nice. We liked the friendly staff who were able to answer the questions we had on the care that is available This is a nice and clean community with a good environment. They offer a lot of activities and a nice menu of healthy meals. We would recommend this community for the care of a loved one. At the time of the tour, they did not have an opening.

My dad is doing great here, he really likes the staff and they are very attentive, listen to the resident's requests and show that they care about their residents. Dad does like going to the dining room, he likes the food and has told me that they are changing up the menu next month. All the rooms have a patio and the grounds are just beautiful and well maintained. I really like their facebook page, they post pictures of the residents during the activities and they have a current calendar of all the events taking place there so that I can remind my dad of any upcoming things he might like to attend to do. I am so pleased with the care my dad has gotten here.

Looking for a place for my mom was not what I ever thought I would have to do, however after looking at a few facilities we settled on Brookdale. I found the staff to be very caring and very helpful. I almost found it hard to believe that there were so many people in one place that could be as nice and have a smile on at all times. I first spoke with [Removed], sales manager who walked me through the facility, and took the time I needed to to show me around and answer any and all questions I had. Then I was introduced to [Removed] is the director and also takes the time needed to answer any and all questions, and will take time to help serve meals. Not what one might find in all facilities. The young ladies that spend their days working with all the patients seem amazing to me. Once again , always have a smile on and very nice people, and I'm sorry I don't remember all your names. I watched the gentlemen handling maintenance tasks, and it appeared to me once again that whatever he was doing when I had gotten there, and that was a few times ,he always had a smile on his face and always in a pleasant mood. The chef in the kitchen, always working hard and always pleasant. I certainly hope this helps with anyone thinking of bringing a loved one to Brookdale Venice island. Regards [Removed]

We toured this community for care. The staff were nice and were able to answer the questions on the care that is offer. The community was clean inside and out. The have a appealing menu of meals to be offered. The activiites would of been good for my mom. We recommend this community for the care of a loved one.

Brookdale Palmer Park provided the best care when my husband needed extra care to manage his dementia. We had placed him in two other facilities that said that they were secure but he was able to leave the facilities and put himself and others in danger. The staff at Brookdale Palmer Park worked to be sure that he would be completely secure and that they would do what it took to make him secure and well cared for. The Brookdale Palmer Park staff was by far the most caring and knowledgeable with which we had personal experience.

Mom is very happy at Brookdale. She has already gained a network of new friends and is as involved as she wants to be. She enjoys the weekly trips on their bus away from the center to do shopping or eating. It is such a relief to be able to go out of town for a week at a time and not have to worry about her. We know she's getting the best care possible. She really likes the staff and seems to like the food. The community is clean and well maintained. I would recommend this community.

My grandmother is just fine at this community. The staff are the best thing here. She is getting enough choices for meals and attempting some activities. They have transportation available for the residents.

The reason that we chose this community over the others was the strength in activities. The staff is good and the food is very good as well, but we really liked that they had a full spectrum of activities. It was not just bingo, they have outings and guests who come in with history lectures and current events. They have "active brain train" which is where they will break it down for example if someone had a background in accounting, it will have to do with math so they can recall what they don't use anymore. We are very happy with our decision.

My mother lives here and things are going well. The lady who helped us get everything set up to move in was absolutely amazing. She made sure to answer any questions and checked on me. She was very attentive, patient and understanding. I could not imagine any other person guiding me through the process and she made the process so smooth. Also, my mother is a picky eater and Brookdale serves meals that she enjoys.

I has no problems speaking to the community staff about what they can do and what they can't do. They were upfront when I asked them questions and helped with giving useful feedback to ensure I was making the right place for my loved one. They were not able to accept one with feeding tubes.

Before the tour began, we were impressed by the level of socialization between the residents at Brookdale Brandon. We noticed that staff members greeted the residents by name and were concerned with their needs. Our tour was led by [Removed]. who was friendly and easy to communicate with. [Removed] was able to answer all of our questions as well as show us a few apts that were more that sufficient for my elderly father. Over all Brookdale is on the top of our list. However, my father's health has taken a turn for the worse so we are unsure about future placement for him.

This place was unbelievable from the minute we entered. They provided us with a complimentary lunch and every staff person was friendly and caring. Even the servers in the dining room made a positive impression and watched how they engaged with the seniors. I would recommend this community to others and especially my mom and dad

We moved my mother in here shortly before she passed away and it was a nice community.They were very good to her and supportive through our difficult time.
