My Dad’s experience moving in, making friends and adjusting to assisted living has been excellent. Behind the scenes, the process has not been as seamless. Getting medication management underway, and setting up his care plan has been a longer process. They were short staffed when we moved in. However, now at almost 6 weeks after move in, they seem to finally be fully staffed and more functional.

Facility is first class Assisted living care is generally good but can be uneven For the price I think they should have a higher CNA to patient ratio

As my mother is the one who is staying at The Grand - she loves everything about it with the exception of the food. She is hoping that it improves. It is a wonderful place - the staff is so welcoming and the attention to detail is fantastic. The offer an array of activities and overall it is just wonderful.

Probably what I like the most is how pretty and clean it is. From what I hear from my mother n law, she and some others think the portions aren't very big

Lovely apartments, great facility. Not open long (less than 2 years). Still struggling with personnel turnover and not good communication between departments. But friendly staff and caregivers working well with Mom.

The staff is responsive. They should have a walkin bathtub. Yes I would recommend this community to other families.

Very expensive! Meals are great. Staff is friendly, but they sit around on their phones a lot. Room sometimes is a mess. Clothes just thrown on the shelves. But I am a neat person. Sometimes I go out and my husband has on a dirty shirt. I know he is a messy eater, but a shirt is easy to change. Lots of great activities! They encourage the residents to participate. Pretty satisfied overall!

I would highly recommend them for memory care. The care team has been amazing. They are communicative and really care for their residents. We have had a great experience with Grand Living. The staff has been amazing with my Mom and are so responsive. They love to have the family involved and regularly provide me updates on my Mom and send pictures.

The restaurant choices, the medical staff on site and the salon. Yes, I would recommend The Watermark at Coral Gables to other families based on the experience we have had so far, my parents best friends moved in 8 months ago.

They are very friendly and staff is helpful. The cost is very high.

The facility is too big for the medical staff to provide the proper level of care. Facility is great for minimum care. Our family experience. Great for assistant living if level of care is low. Needs improvement for higher level of care and memory care

Monitor the drugs being dispensed. Cameras in rooms are helpful. Encourage participation in activities

If you move there in independent living I think it would be great, lots to offer, very active community, assisted living didn't get hours of care we were expecting or paid for, which was disappointing but also I think very common. had to stay on them about the level of care. staff overall very helpful and caring

They let my dad fall on the floor and don't recognize it for hours.

Amanda was a very relaxed and friendly guide. She showed us 4 different styles of apartments. Even though I really liked this place, Mom did not like the apartment layout ...too much kitchen, not enough living room. Several people at lunch stopped by to visit our table and said how much they enjoyed living there. Mom said she would probably enjoy the community but something just wasn't appealing about the layout of the apartments.

I have a friend who lives in the assisted living facility, I would say that his biggest complaint is, he does not like always being inside. It feels like an older peoples prison. They lack the access to outdoor living. Don’t get me wrong, the facility interior is exceptionally clean and well staffed. When making seniors feel like they have a normal life it is important that they have a lovely outdoor space to retreat to. This facility, the Cordova, does not. It is not normal to expect seniors to live their entire life inside these four walls. The interior of assisted living facilities are impeccable, bu they clearly have not put any investment in getting these fine seniors outside, for a break in the monotony of being inside. One other aspect that I have found with talking to residents , they do seem to have a lot of complaints about the food.

It was a horrific experience. Buyer, beware: behind the shiny new facility, there is a lot of negativity with care and communication. The nursing staff is uneducated, unprofessional & careless.

Luminations is NOT a certified Alzheimer's unit. MANY services they will not provide because "we're not skilled nursing." You will need a camera in your loved one's room to make sure they get care. My mother went weeks without getting a shower. She would be left in bed till noon (when I would call to have them get her up). Then left in a chair till the middle of the night (when I would call to have to put her to bed). The director told me residents were checked on every two hours. A caregiver told me residents are never checked on during the night. My mother fell in her room and was not checked on for HOURS. I saw her on the floor on camera and called the staff to go help her. It could have been several more hours before anyone checked on her. No systems in place -- or they don't use them. No documentation of what care has or has not been provided. Mostly has not. Don't bother going to corporate -- they don't care either.

Very disappointing and telling experience. I stopped by to get a feel for the community and its culture, as I have spent many years in senior living and am intentionally selective about my next opportunity. I was denied a tour outright by [name removed], the Executive Director—something I have never experienced in this industry. In senior living, you don’t turn people away. Every person who walks through the door is a potential resident, family member, referral source, or future customer. Denying a tour isn’t just poor hospitality—it speaks volumes about leadership priorities and organizational culture. The gentleman at the front desk was kind and professional, which only further highlighted the contrast in leadership. The interaction was unwelcoming, dismissive, and conveyed that time, interest, and basic courtesy were not valued. If this is how genuine interest is handled at the front door, I can only imagine the experience for families behind closed doors. This is not a community I would

Our experience with Grand Living was beyond terrible. Behind the shiny new building and amenities, is a critically uneducated medical staff, supervised by an inadequate nursing director. We took my mom out of there after only staying 2 nights. If I could rate it a -0, I would.
