Grand Living

She's doing well it was quite an adjustment for her. But she seems to be enjoying things there she's a little bored she would like a little bit more variety and more activities that stimulate her intellectually. She also has some food allergies that are being addressed but she said that the food is been very inconsistent. That said her overall experience has been excellent and she thinks that the staff is just wonderful

In hind sight, overall it was good. It's complicated because my wife did not want to be there. It's a beautiful facility, always clean and maintained, food is awesome, staff and residents are friendly, apartment size is adequate, excellent exercise room, convenient location.

Great food, dining room service just okay. Apartment size okay but not what I would call large. Great activities. But difficult to get ahold of nurses and med techs, and assisted living services often not rendered at the level being paid for.

Grand Living is a wonderful community with a great supportive staff. Mom is safe and well taken care of in the Illuminations area. My only constructive feedback is the food. I’ve experienced several dinners there and it could use some improvement.

Memory care could use some licensed clinicians present during daytime hours. There seems to be a gap with addressing clinical issues in real-time. And we cannot expect med-techs to have the training or critical thinking necessary to address appropriately. There is also an issue with communication from the staff at memory care, which licensed professionals would know the importance and regulatory responsibilities related to this. We have still not been officially notified that 911 was called on Saturday for a fall. We found out from the memory care patient (who shouldn't be responsible for that, nor can be expected to have full understanding or details of said events).

Mom seems to be happy there. She's met some ladies which is a blessing. It's a very nice place. There is always room for improvement. The food is good, but mom complains. They don't cook the vegetables enough. They recently went up on their monthly fee and I'm sure it will price a lot of people out of This place. They keep the place very clean and organized. She enjoys reading the newspaper downstairs in the library every day and seems to enjoy the breakfast they provide. The care staff is very helpful. They have a lot of activities and ice cream, socials and special events, which is always nice.

The staff is very friendly and warm. There is a consistency in staffing with little noticeable changeover. They know my mom by name and are familiar with her needs, likes and quirks all of which give me and her comfort. We enjoy the people who work there and they genuinely seem to enjoy what they do and us as well.

My Dad’s experience moving in, making friends and adjusting to assisted living has been excellent. Behind the scenes, the process has not been as seamless. Getting medication management underway, and setting up his care plan has been a longer process. They were short staffed when we moved in. However, now at almost 6 weeks after move in, they seem to finally be fully staffed and more functional.

Facility is first class Assisted living care is generally good but can be uneven For the price I think they should have a higher CNA to patient ratio

As my mother is the one who is staying at The Grand - she loves everything about it with the exception of the food. She is hoping that it improves. It is a wonderful place - the staff is so welcoming and the attention to detail is fantastic. The offer an array of activities and overall it is just wonderful.

Probably what I like the most is how pretty and clean it is. From what I hear from my mother n law, she and some others think the portions aren't very big

Lovely apartments, great facility. Not open long (less than 2 years). Still struggling with personnel turnover and not good communication between departments. But friendly staff and caregivers working well with Mom.

The staff is responsive. They should have a walkin bathtub. Yes I would recommend this community to other families.

Very expensive! Meals are great. Staff is friendly, but they sit around on their phones a lot. Room sometimes is a mess. Clothes just thrown on the shelves. But I am a neat person. Sometimes I go out and my husband has on a dirty shirt. I know he is a messy eater, but a shirt is easy to change. Lots of great activities! They encourage the residents to participate. Pretty satisfied overall!

I would highly recommend them for memory care. The care team has been amazing. They are communicative and really care for their residents. We have had a great experience with Grand Living. The staff has been amazing with my Mom and are so responsive. They love to have the family involved and regularly provide me updates on my Mom and send pictures.

The restaurant choices, the medical staff on site and the salon. Yes, I would recommend The Watermark at Coral Gables to other families based on the experience we have had so far, my parents best friends moved in 8 months ago.

They are very friendly and staff is helpful. The cost is very high.

The facility is too big for the medical staff to provide the proper level of care. Facility is great for minimum care. Our family experience. Great for assistant living if level of care is low. Needs improvement for higher level of care and memory care

Monitor the drugs being dispensed. Cameras in rooms are helpful. Encourage participation in activities

If you move there in independent living I think it would be great, lots to offer, very active community, assisted living didn't get hours of care we were expecting or paid for, which was disappointing but also I think very common. had to stay on them about the level of care. staff overall very helpful and caring
