Love it
I have moved in this year and was very hesitant. However, as the months have gone on I have really enjoyed living here. The staff and other residents are very helpful and kind. I enjoy all the different activities to do and everything is so clean!

Enjoying the friendly faces
All the care staff are so kind and fun to talk to, they are there whenever I need them. I love eating with my friends and the kitchen staff are wonderful. I love going to bingo and all the games they have.

Fun and on the move
I like going to activities and getting out and about. They keep me active and busy with all kinds of crafts and events. The people are very nice to chat with, I’m never really bored living here. I’m always well cared for, I have no complaints staying healthy. I’ve made quite a few friends being here, from all walks of life.

Room for growth
It’s a quiet place to live. I think the place is well maintained, inside and out. I feel that some staff does not follow through on their commitments to get the job done, I would like better timeliness. I find it very difficult to identify staff members by name. Name tags are meaningless, they are often not displayed properly. I would like dining staff to have better experience.

Good Community, I Picked It Because It Is On A Smaller Scale
[Name removed] was wonderful to work with, and has always been willing to interact with the family in the beginning. The receptionist is extremely helpful whenever I call and tries to go above and beyond for us. The head of therapy is wonderful according to my loved one. The communication could be improved to keep the family updated better when the family isn't there. There are three meals a day provided by the community to the residents. My loved one thinks the dining room is very nice. There is always problems with the billing for us.

My stay at Highgate Paoli Pointe has been very good so far. Staff is very responsive and aides are very good. Activities department dues a good job relaying information to the residents, and keeping us up to date. I enjoy spending time playing Rubmihub with other residents. Food is pretty good!

Our experience in finding a place for dad
We chose Langdon Place of Dover because of the onsite medical care and the location was good for family. It is an older facility but they have updated some of the areas though. I do think it is overall a good place with a good value for the money. They could improve on communication with the visiting medical and on site medical with the families. I would recommend to others looking as long as it it fits your loved ones needs.

From my family member's perspective, some of the nursing staff are not as friendly, and it's hard to get any answers from anybody. But I know there are many factors going into that - things like staff shortages and Covid going on.
