The staff is wonderful, they have been great for my mom. Prior to COVID they had bingo, they used to have a little cafe area and at 3:00pm everyday the chef would make little snacks before their dinner. They also had exercises classes, chair exercises. On Friday's they took trips to different shopping events, different restaurants and even the casino. My mom is in the assisted living part, and she has a beautiful apartment. Its very spacious, she has a small kitchen, a couch and a chair along with her full bedroom set. It is larger then some of the other rooms we saw. On every floor there is a common area, that the residents could go watch TV or even play pool. The staff is always on top of everything when it comes to the cleanliness of this community. We have had no complaints!

This community has done a pretty good job overall, i would just like to see a little more communication from them. Since COVID they have been a little better about communicating with the families. They provide arts and crafts for the residents, but as of right now we aren't sure what activities they still have for their residents. They have made secure areas with plexiglass that allows families to see their loved ones. The food was just okay. The layout is perfect, it was formally a hotel. All the rooms have their own AC/heating units. My mom is in a single room. As of right now this community has had no cases of residents getting sick with COVID. One thing that really stood out to us was that it had a great atmosphere, and is cost effective for us.

My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and had reached the point where I did not want to leave her alone when I was at work. She was not eating and was lonely. At Langdon, she had her own unit and was able to participate in activities, go shopping, go on day trips. As she digressed, the staff knew when it was time to move her to the memory care unit. They assist her with dressing and eating and she is content. It was the best decision.

My father has been at Langdon for about a month. The administration made this transition very simple and welcoming. Since his move to Langdon, I have made requests that were given attention immediately. Well run and the facility is clean and beautiful. The location could not be better -very convenient. Very happy with Langdon Place of Nasha.

The nursing staff are experts on their gentle, patient care. When my mother first moved into Langdon, it was obvious she intended to remain in her room. No meals, no entertainment, no social events could coax her out of her front door. The staff's warmth and friendly manner every time they checked on her, however, began to win her over. Each and every visit she would smile and tell us that everyone knew her already and how nice they all were! One month later she has began going to meals, playing bingo, and joining others in occasional events. We trust Longdon. My wife's father was with Langdon, as were her sister-in-law's parents.

My mom was a resident at Langdon Place for just about 1 year before she passed away. The staff was always kind, sensitive, generous with their time and energy. They worked hard and clearly made an investment in their jobs - it was more than a job - it was personal and relationship. Langdon has a neat atmosphere - super activities - delivers food, and an amazing team who made the transition from complete independence to assisted living seamless. Thank you for taking care of my mom.

My mother has lived in Langdon for about 8 years now. Every time I visit, all staff are friendly, even the cleaners come in and and chat with her and know about her family. Her care is excellent and she ABSOLUTELY LOVES IT. She is very content and complimentary about her care, the staff, meals, etc. As I live far from her, it gives great peace of mind that she is happy and so well looked after. The fact that she was able to furnish the room with all her favourite things from her old home is also part of why she feels so at home. I could not recommend it enough from my point of view.

Our mother has been a resident in the memory care unit of Chestnut Ridge for the last three months and we have been extremely pleased with the professional and compassionate care provided by the Director and Care Providers on the 4th Floor. They are very involved with the residents and provide activities which allow them to be engaged as a community. They offer a program which involves, physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing services, and organized activities to enhance the overall well being of each resident. Our experience has been very positive and we have comfort in knowing that our mother is receiving the highest quality of care.

Beautiful, Perfect but Expensive!

My father has been at Langdon Place for just a year, and he is now transitioning out of this life. The caregiver's at Langdon Place could not be more caring, attentive, helpful or kind. They take the most loving and tender care of my dad, while being knowledgable, professional, always helpful and always solicitous. They explain things thoroughly, they are always wanting to make him comfortable and they are constantly asking if we, the family, need anything.

What a great place! I toured the facility and was very impressed. Very clean, people were friendly, and the residences seemed happy!

Highgate was extremely helpful in guiding us through the process. It is a difficult thing to do. However we feel our mother is safe and happy where she is. She joins in with the activities. Each time I see her and it is often, she is good. She is clean, dressed, safe and busy. So far Highgate has given us exactly what mom needs. They are very responsive to her needs and ours.

My mother has been living at Langdon Place of Nashua since January 2014. She is much healthier and happier than when she was living alone and I credit the staff at Langdon Place for attending to her physical and emotional health. The staff is continuously looking for ways to improve the quality of life through activities, health care, and daily care. I visited many assisted living places in the area and I knew immediately that Langdon Place was the place for my mother, I felt the loving, sincere, and caring family atmosphere as soon as I started the tour and like I said earlier, they continuously improve in all aspects of their care. You cannot go wrong choosing Langdon Place of Nashua to care for your loved!

My Mother has bee a resident for several years and progressed from indepent living to assisted living with declining health. Every step of the way Lanagdon Staff was prepared to meet her needs. They have been warm and inviting with both Mom and my family. They have a great activity calendar and work to engage all residents.

My has been there for 8 1/2 months. She has dementia and the initial adjustment was rough. But the staff was great at helping her to adjust, getting her to meals and activities. She has since moved to the memory floor and is doing well. The staff is caring and everyone knows her name. I think it is important to be involved and aware of what is going on with your loved one. The physical therapy department was very helpful in getting her to use a walker. There are also seasonal activities that families are invited to attend. They are fun and the clients love them.

We are thankful for the friendly atmosphere, comfort level of resident interactions, and personal care given by the aides. We find the cleanliness amazing and the variety of activities made available each day to the residents creates a real family feeling among those living there. Chestnut Ridge was the excellent choice.

Langdon place received an A- from my mother. Super clean, provided for everything she needs. Close to where she lives now. Unfortunately a studio is not available at this time and an efficiency is above her price range.

The place was beautiful I spoke with some of the people living there before I went in. They all seemed to love it.tour went very well, a great weight has been lifted should I have to bring mom I would feel good about it. I'll shall look into our finances and start paper work for veterans benefits and we'll see what happens over the next few weeks as mom is still in rehab

Very nice feel. MC is on an upper floor which makes a difference to me. Has a calendar of events just for MC rather than working MC events into IL/AL calendar. Room has separate sitting area (which makes a difference as opposed to just walking into a bedroom.

Back in early 2017, on the advice of our doctor and support of our children, daughter and son in law, my wife and I started to look for an independent/assisted living home. We looked at several but Langdon Place of Dover got and kept our attention. Why? THE STAFF!! An apartment is an apartment, a room is a room, etc., but the staff at Langdon Place of Dover makes this place!! If you can’t smile and have a positive attitude at all times, then you won’t work here. Why? The folks that live here!! It’s all here, medical problems, along with age. The need for a slow pace of living while at the same time someone is watching out for your welfare. Try pacifying over 100 folks at Langdon Place of Dover 24-7. It’s being done. And each and everyone here at Langdon Place of Dover has a smile on their face.
