It took a while to get use to assisted living. It is different that independent living, but the staff have worked to make it pleasant. The activities department here has been what I have enjoyed the most.

Toured here also. ED said would work with me on cost if other facilities were lower. No answer for the "dog service". Will take dog, but cost of hiring walking service is prohibitive. Not an attractive or homey facility.

Folks this place is terrible and mismanaged. When you try to talk to a manager amd have issue, he or she hangup on you. For their ripoff price, you can find other clean and caring AFL. I am telling you. Now it is all up to you.

This facility gives the impression of more of a nursing home than an assisted living facility. The smell of tobacco smoke was overwhelming as we entered, and while the facility seems clean, it is very bare and not at all homey.

It’s not clean. It smells. One of the worse things I saw was that when I walked in the front door they had a television area for the elderly people right by the front door – everyone is walking by. The main desk is there. Elderly people are always cold. I was just so unimpressed!

They just were horrible, it was disgusting. Not nice at all. They never cleaned his clothes and his stuff always went missing. They had one or two employees that cared about him or else it would be no stars.

I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. I did not like this facility at all and would not like to see anyone move here.
No stars. This is about my mother. We cant see her without notice and the visit is in a storage room. Started a couple weeks ago. Got a call saying she was on her way to the e.r. from seizures. I showed up to meet them. Dirty clothes, smelled, greasy. Bruises everywhere. Made note of clothes and appearance. Everything came back fine and was released back. Three days later she's back in the e.r. Same clothes, same exact bloody cotton balls and tape the nurse put on after removing her multiple iv ports. She's in again today. Appr a week later. Found unresponsive in her room. Completely unrelated to why she was sent to the e.r, she can't sit up in her bed because her hip hurts so bad. Can't walk. The ambulance driver was told she fell two days ago and hasn't been right since. The ambulance driver told the receiving nurse/doctor. Two days she's laid in her bed like this and they send her because she's unresponsive?!?!? Her inability to move didn't raise a red flag?!?!?!?! Asked for her medication, medical, shower, care records on the way to the e.r. and was refused. Was told by [name removed] they didn't have to keep record of any of it and if they did they wouldn't provide it either way. Go in and ask yourself. Please don't take my word for it. She's in the memory care facility. Sunday and around 4p.m. when I stopped for her records I asked to speak with anyone in charge. Nurse told me it was just them that there was no one there to talk to.

DO NOT, I repeat-DO NOT place a Loved one into this facility!! My MOM was there for 2 years in INDEPENDENT living! They lure U in with a low price & almost double it the next year for no valid reason but their corporate greed! The place smells & is disgustingly dirty. The food is uneditable & BUGS would often take a stroll across your dining table. I left her room in VERY clean condition & they were paid up to date when she left for Fountianview. I did not sign for ANY of her debt YET for the last 3.8 years they send ME a bill for $102.00 !!! Think twice & look around!!

Mom lived @ Savannah Court from May through October of 2018. I moved here there because I thought she would like the facility. Mom is unsteady on her feet, and very impatient. The staff was not very quick to answer her buzzer which resulted in 2 falls. After the last fall, the nursing staff refused to let her stay in her room. So, she was forced to sit in the lobby day in and day out. I complained, and asked to let her have the freedom to move around and they wouldn't let her. They would sit her on a couch, mover her wheelchair and let her be. If you tour the place, you'll see people sitting in the lobby. It is not by their choice. They have a current lawsuit with a resident that was left out side. Don't be tricked by sales people. They are short staffed, the staff they have are burned out and not happy.

I am the cousin and Medical Power of Attorney of a resident at Tampa Living Care. My cousin was very happy at this facility under the old management, but we are both unhappy now. Here's why I am unhappy: 1) I have tried to reach management several times since the change-of-hands, but my calls have never been returned. 2) When I could not reach management after many tries over the space of over a month, I was told the Med Tech was the person in charge for that day (It was a Sunday) and that I should just talk to her. When I told her my concerns, she implied that my cousin was lying and that I should believe her instead. Under previous management, I could reach the director or the person I needed to to get clarification, but never was my cousin treated as if she were invisible and should not be taken at her word. (Under old management, I probably talked to the director 3 times, but those 3 times made a huge difference). 3) They changed my cousin's medication to something that does not work for her. They did not notify me and they did not listen to my cousin when she complained. 4) The change in management was done with little regard for the types of people they are serving - a population that is unlikely to take change well. The new management came in and made changes to personnel, procedures, without what seems to me as an regard for what was working before. Now, the residents who once mostly got along are now fighting among themselves. it's like no one is at the helm when it comes to the emotional well-being of the place. My cousin had additional complaints, such as a smell of urine and the food is not as good.

My brother was at City Walk -- it was a depressing, less than clean environment. He suffered through multiple bouts of bed bugs in the facility. He bought his own groceries because the food was disgusting. Although the cost is low, you get what you pay for ----

went for a visit. possibly the worst experience of my life. sad to say it was more like a mental institution rather than an assisted living facility. It was also a non stop smokers festival inside and out.

when my grandmother was attending this place it was horrible we didn't want her there in the first place and where glad to get her out of there. she was always dirty her belongings always disappeared, she was always getting bruised and when asked we would always get the same answer " I wast working that shift" so apparently no one ever worked there. the place looked lifeless it was very old, dark, the rooms where super small, rooms always smelled like mold. The people working there had such bad attitude except for one person, i went in one day to see my grandmother and found a lady on the floor bleeding from her head and could not find ANYBODY to help her. My grandmother was in the Alzheimer's unit i remember seeing the staff push and pull the poor people, stuff food down there mouth. HORRIBLE PLACE!!!!

Be careful when you initially meet with the "marketing team"! they are sales people and are only interested in getting you in quickly and filling the rooms. My mother-in-law went through their "assessment" process (10 minutes with a nurse) and they said she would be a good fit on the assisted living side. My wife stressed to them numerous times about her concerns with her mom trying to leave the facility and they said they would keep an eye on her and if she ever tried to walk out they would assist. Well the first day she tried to walk out several times so they locked her in the memory care side where she spent the entire day on a couch watching tv with late stage Alzheimer's patience. By the time I got that there that evening she was traumatized and her anxiety was through the roof. The head nurse said the only way she could stay on the assisted living side was if I hired a full time aid, otherwise I had to move her to the memory care side. I wish this nurse would have been on the initial assessment interview. I told them I could not do that to her and stated I would be bringing her home and moving her out. After only 30 hours at Savannah Courts they would not refund our money, or at least pro-rate a refund. Even after the administrator stated she didn't feel it handled properly either. They told me they needed a letter and 30 days notice to move out. Totally unprofessional and my wife and I feel we were mislead through the entire process. STAY AWAY from Savannah Courts.

This facility is filthy and a fire trap. The building is old and the pictures listed on this site do not at reflect the actual state of the apartments or common areas. the facility primarily provides double occupancy rooms that are very small and most do not have their own bathrooms. The majority of residents are mental health patients and there are too few staff persons available to properly care for them or keep the resdeints safe. There is a secured alzheimers unit that would never be able to safely evacuate the residents.

Savannah Court is not a place for someone that needs assistance. They do not check on your parent. Your parent could lay on the floor of their room, for over an hour before anyone finds them. It is only good if you can take care of yourself and don't need any assistance unless it is to give you your medicine. I was very disappointed. Not a good place in my opinion.

I have a family member live in this place and he is treated like a second had citizen. The owner has been in there room at least three times a week finding complaints about the roommate. He has a companion dog and keeps it with him and he complains that the dog being inside when it doesnt make a sound. Not a place that is very wheel chair friendly. If you have a choice send your family member somewhere else. there is no activities for the resident exce0p maybe bingo.
