FirstLight Home Care

Our experience with this home care agency was a short, but good one. They were quick to respond when we needed some help. We only used them for a couple of days, but it was a nice experience. They took good care of my father and his needs. I was very pleased with all they did for us. I would highly recommend this home care, it worked out well.

So far everything seems to be going smooth. I am not there, but I haven't heard any complaints. They seem to be helpful and reliable at this point. Nobody is perfect, but we are happy with the service.

They were mostly good. Some caregivers were better than others, one in particular was pretty new, but also a little last minute. They were really good and helpful. They were very reliable.

The staff is awesome. They're very attentive to all the residents needs. They take good care of the residents. The facility has a warm and inviting feeling when going there. The food is also good there as well.

The last two times that I have used the services of companionship for my mother with Alzheimer has really impressed me of FirstLight Homecare staff . Have been fully satisfied with their service on both occasions.

It's been excellent service and my mother is very pleased. The care giving is not so much medical oriented, it's just that my mother's mobility is compromised so she needs some help cleaning and someone to take her to the store and doctor's appointments and things like that.

We don't work with them anymore but we don't not work with them because they're not good, we just got to the point where we needed someone living with her all the time. They need to improve on the contact, if I sent an email that says I need someone Saturday and Sunday from 8-5 I don't want 6 emails back and forth clarifying what I said. Some of it was our fault because we had some last minute changes, but you want it simple. Let's just say that the value was positive. It's like you go to a nice dinner, as long as the dinner tastes good and the service is good A. it's a good deal and if it's cheaper than you thought it would be then it's a really good deal. If it's expensive and the food's really good then its a good deal, it's only a problem if the food tastes bad. We've had people for cheaper and they weren't as good or they were more limited so the price probably makes sense.

They have many competent caregivers. They are friendly and trustworthy. I have one daily but occasionally need help on the weekends. The only complaint is that they can’t always accommodate on weekends.

This is my first experience with home care, so I have nothing to compare it to. I would be lost without someone to come be with my mom and dad while I'm at work. They clean, prepare meals, run errands, take them to the doctor, pick up prescriptions, etc.... I am always a little worried about someone I don't know being with parents, but I have no other choice right now. My only complaint is that if their regular caregiver can't come, they have to sent a substitute. This is a little unsettling for my parents. However, I realize that people need days off and this is something that's unavoidable. Someone who doesn't have little ones would be preferable, as they most likely take fewer days off because they don't have to deal with sick kids.

I'm very happy with First Light. They are quick to respond to both emails and calls and they are very good at matching up a caregiver with the client.

They did a good job. There were a few issues with reliability. Someone even quit, and they never called us. Overall it was a good service, sometimes you can't help certain staffing issues.

There have been some ups and downs using this service. There have been occasions when the caretaker that I was expecting was not sent out another one arrived and that can be a disruptive situation. However, the staffing has been nice and been prepared when they come out and the agency attempts to work with the hours and days that I need.

They take good care of mom, however, there are some minor communication issues where sometimes I'm not able to reach the service.

It started off very well. It was after I started paying for the services that things went sour. There were issues with billing and the caregivers taking advantage and not being honest with the amount of hours worked. Overall the help was fair but the actual business is a shady operation.

Things went fine with FirstLight Homecare. The aides they sent were able to provide the care we needed. There was nothing we were particularly impressed with, but they got the job done.

First Light does not fit our needs. We want one care-giver 5 to 7 days a week. First Light rotates care givers every three days.

My mother received 2 weeks of services from this home care. I wouldn't recommend this home care. The reason is because my mothers quality of care was very inconsistent. The agency was good at sending someone out right away. The care givers were okay, some were good and other's not so much. The ones that were good, they did a great a job caring for her and her needs.

The administrative staff at First Light Home Care was very easy to work with and very accommodating with last minute schedule changes. The consistency of care provided by the caregivers was disappointing and for that reason I would not recommend First Light. There was one woman who was outstanding but most everyone else was sub-par. The women did not take any initiative, some were sloppy and unprofessional in appearance and spent most of the time texting on their cell phones. One woman forgot to remind my mom to take her medications, one woman forgot to bring her walker when dropping her off at my house for a day of doctor appointments and we had to clean up another woman's snacks after she left.

I would not recommend him. Their staff is not trained properly and eat one day. They've even sent somebody they didn't know how to change your diaper. I had to do it for my sister.
