Farmington Hills Inn

We had our Uncle [name removed] residing here for nearly 6 years. The Arbor inn and their caring staff met his every need throughout this period even as his needs changed and increased. The staff treated him with respect and personal attention and also made sure to communicate with us to keep us I formed about any changes in our uncle's health. We are especially grateful for the extra care the Arbor inn staff provided as [name removed] health deteriorated to the point he required Hospice care. Working with an independent hospice provider we were able to allow [name removed] to stay at this facility where he felt comfortable and secure. This would not have been the case without the added care of the Arbor Inn's Wellness staff and medical aids.

The Arbor Inn is a beautiful smaller community. It is a great fit for my Dad. I believe a larger community would be overwhelming for him. It is a very clean and well-kept community. The staff is very friendly caring. I've dined with Dad and the food is pretty good! I had the Philly Cheese steak and I was pleasantly surprised. When my Dad first got there he had to have his food pureed, now he gets to enjoy the normally prepared meals. The Arbor Inn is very inviting for families to come and visit. They provide activities which they try and encourage the residents to participate. My Dad is more of an introvert. They recently had an ice cream social which we all went downstairs to enjoy. They have two outdoor courtyards with sitting areas where the residents can enjoy the outdoors.

The staff has been very friendly and helpful with Mom's transition to Farmington Hills Inn. They are attentive and have lots of services including those from: Nurse practitioners, Visiting Nurses, Physical Therapists, Dieticians , Activities director, Podiatrists, Med Techs, Housekeeping, Laundry and more!

The staff are friendly, outgoing and know who my mom is. They work with the family and for my mom. I tried the food at a picnic and it was fine. They offer activities such as games, bingo, movies and daily exercise classes. This is a clean community that I would recommend.

Only been there a week. Like it. Food is good. People are very friendly. They are very helpful, with occasional reminders to the staff, they get everything done for you. Rooms are nice sized. Bathrooms very roomy. Easy enough to get around the place with a wheelchair.

I toured here, and I liked The Arbor Inn. There were a couple of places that I visited, that I liked. This wasn't the one that really stuck out to me, as being my favorite, but it was nice, and I liked it.

Not knowing how your graph bars work, I made the mark not all the way to great. They have been very helpful and are doing all they can to help me keep my sister's costs down. Everyone has been very nice and helpful and also very encouraging. Really appreciate that as I was kind of at my wit's end getting something in place for her care. It is a very beautiful place and is immaculate. They are providing lots of opportunities for social activities and interaction with other residents. My sister has some health issues that are being addressed very well by the staff and doctors coming into their facility. This has made my life much better and has saved me from making weekly trips across town to take her to a doctor for treatment. All told, I am greatly impressed and relieved for all their help.

He is adjusted well there. They haven't called to complain of any behavioral problems. He seems content or the best he can be with his dementia. The staff seems to be happy with him as well.

People are nice and staff is kind. Room is on the smaller size but there is several pieces of equipment. We would recommend them to others who are searching for care for their loved one.

There are fewer opportunities for socializing as the clientele is more dependent. However staff is friendly and caring. This place as likely all others is always short staffed which does pose risks with care.

Other families should visit the community and see it first hand. I would recommend to others.

From the office staff right down to the cleaning and maintenance staff, everyone has been friendly , helpful, and caring. Whenever the family has questions, we can always rely on the staff to answer them in a timely manner. We are very pleased with the level of care and overall experience.

My aunt is very satisfied and I would recommend it to others.

While there is always opportunity for improvement I like the ability to see medical professionals including dentists on site & the concern of the care takers in dealing with the residents. They at times appear short staffed but I think that is a universal issue with such facilities.

The bathroom floor is sticky the majority of the time I'm there which is on average once a week. And the shower mat is always dirty. I did mention both and they took care of it. However had I not complained who know how long before they were cleaned! And regarding the cost my gut feeling is it's too high!

Our mother has been there 1 and 1/2 years and the last 4 months have shown a great improvement in staff attentiveness and kindness. I’m sure coming off of covid was very hard on this industry but Arbor Inn was very efficient in addressing any issues and we can see the change as well as our mother can too. Communication and medical attention is very exceptional with the wellness secretary ( unit clerk) and with the current director of nursing. The only complaint from mom and her resident friends is the meals either have lack of items ( milk for cereal) at times or just not happy with the tastes. Overall we are very very happy with our experience, communication and loving care our mother is receiving. We appreciate Arbor Inn and the staff so very much.

I'm gonna tell you a secret every senior (and family) needs to know. I've been living here since 2019. In that time, I've met people and made friends with people from all walks of life and have made friends with them. The staff here is truly very kind and caring. If you need something they'll find it or move to someone that has the answers. Many people have made friends and those sometimes have had a relationship some have blossomed into wonderful friends. If you (or a senior you know) needs a clean, family oriented place to call home, give Arbor Inn a call. It has a warm comfy feeling like home.

We chose Arbor Inn because it was the most affordable for us and the location was the most convenient for us. A lot of places are having turnover issues with staffing and that is true here as well. Overall we have been pleased with the experience and would recommend them to others.

We had a good tour at The Arbor Inn. Location was the biggest factor for us though, so we chose a place that was closer to where we live.

The tour guide sat down and talked to us about what we needed and where my love one was at that time and then gave us suggestions for other places for the best care. This was a good community.
