I toured this community for my parents. This is a beautiful village. The staff was great and we able to answer my questions. At the time there were not a lot of residents living here. A lot of great activities are offered to the residents. I would highly recommend this community.

I moved my mom into this place and she is very happy and loves it!

Assisted living needs should be thoroughly discussed in advance.

We chose Stonebrook Village because of the size of the apartments, the proximity to family, and the facility itself is newer construction so it is very clean and progressive. They do have nurses available 24/7 which is a huge plus. I would tell others that I do think it is important for others families to request open communication and talk with them about what your expectations are. I think the facility is an excellent choice for those who are more independent and just needing few services, I think they would be happiest. I would recommend them.

The staff at this community are wonderful. They all work together to pitch in and support the community. The food is quite good and is continuing to improve. They offer bingo three times a week and they bring in entertainment. They keep the community clean and I would recommend it.

I have had a couple of issues but a beautiful place. Issues: staff isn't as engaging as at [community removed]. She is not making friends. But she does sit outside a lot now. Food is not great.

So far it's been really great for [name removed] They understand his needs and treat him with great care and respect. I would recommend to others.

The staff are so good to my mom. They get her to do things when she doesn't feel like socializing and it's always best for her. It's very clean there too. I am really happy with Hillsbrook

The facility itself is lovely. Staff was attentive and helpful. There were times when I had questions regarding medication or Dad's physical conditions when they were very poor at responding to my inquiries. I often had to leave multiple messages. I would recommend to others.

I really like the atmosphere and the girls are very good with the residents there. The only thing I don't like is that if your wheelchair bound you stay in the dining room from breakfast till bedtime. Also they do have activities but they never leave that room only to go to the bathroom. That's the only thing I don't care for they need other rooms for the residents to go in to do other activities

I have especially been happy with the care she has received in their EGIS Memory Care. She moved there from assisted living in December.

The place is beautiful clean and staff have been wonderful. Food is okay. Took a long time with buzzer to get help when my mom fell. I do need to follow up as she forgets but they are getting better with communication. I would highly recommend due to clean and inviting facility and friendly staff. They have made my mother feel welcome.

My mom moved to another facility over a year ago. But the staff and food were ok. The cleanliness was good. Her room was nice.

This facility is very nice well organized maintained and well fought out in its layout to incorporate and create a positive community. The only downside is expense. Most services seem à la carte which may be good for some, but can be pricey very quickly. There is no opportunity when the money runs out for patients to stay, which can be traumatic to have to leave a community that people have created. As long as you can afford it this seems like a great option.

All Staff is very caring and empathetic. There are a lot of activities every day and out trips. The food is pretty good. My mom has been eating well. If they are not feeling up to going down they will send food up (not all the time, just if not feeling well). The apartment is good sized and the housekeeping staff keeps both inside the apartment and the common areas very clean.

There is an area of concern we didn't realize when we admitted [name removed]. This was concerning assisted living and the clear definition therein. By its license, AL is just that... care adjusted for the aged where there would only be a need for minimal nursing care. Right now [name removed] needs more nursing care than the AL can provide. Unfortunately, it wasn't explained in depth enough for us to understand what the challenges would be when her LOC changed for the worse. My feeling is that, though the probability might be low at admission, it needs to be made absolutely understandable before admission.

My mother and I started our "Stonebrook journey" [date removed] as she moved into assisted living after my dad passed and didn't feel mom should be living alone. Mom was resistant at first, but as time passed she made new friends and enjoyed her new surroundings. It gave me peace of mind knowing that mom was being taken care, eating delicious meals, taking her medication, and participating in social events. Since then mom has progressed to the Memory Care unit in [date removed]. The Stonebrook Village team helped me immensely with this transition-as it is difficult for all parties involved. The Memory Care staff has activities and outings planned to ensure the residents are engaged and active which is wonderful. Stonebrook has brought in resources such as speakers, support groups and elder law presentation which have been extremely helpful to me as a caregiver to my mom. Highly recommend Stonebrook Village at Windsor Locks!

Overall it was a good fit for [name removed]. We had some issues with staff who worked so much but the letter of their assignments sometimes it felt callous and at one point [name removed] said she needed to hire someone to come in and pick up where staff refused to help. Meals were good and having alternate choices- not on the menu- was very welcome. Best thing was the balcony that we're lucky enough to get. She loved being outside, and having her little dog outside was a blessing. She also loved plants and gardening on her balcony was a pure delight.

If your loved one dies, you still pay for the month. That was the only negative I have about Cedarbrook Village at Ware.
