This is the worst place for your LO. It looks great, but the owners and management does not care all they care about is their bottom line. Care givers and not trained at all, some of the care givers are really trying and do the best that they can, but without training it is not working. The food is the worst, they eat cold lunches and dinners. Tons of drama at this place!!! Please try and find a different place if you can...….

Memory care is quiet, sad, and stagnant. Only music for residents was my moms CD player and the 50’s oldie CDs we provided. Corporate snobs came and made staff remove the CD player, saying it “didn’t match Devore and looked tacky”. Activities are mainly in AL building and w/c dementia folks are excluded. Mom wasn’t sleeping and a sleep med was ordered, but nurse missed order and med was in the facility, but not given for 6 weeks. Nurse lied about the medication even after I verified it was delivered by pharmacy 6 weeks prior AND got the original order from Dr PLUS a picture of the full card on medication. The nurse instead got orders to increase daytime agitation meds which made mom lethargic all day, and sleeping most of day. Lack of activity caused a rapid decline, and within 5 months, she was unable to walk and feed herself. Watched a caregiver shovel huge spoonfuls of food in another residents mouth so fast, the lady kept coughing and choking. That resident died a few weeks later, and I suspect from aspiration pneumonia. There were several safety concerns, and Fire Marshall’s had to come out to address these issues on more than one occasion. Employees admitted to working there over 6 months with no fire drills or tornado drills.... not a place I felt safe to keep mom in. Caregivers ( some of them) truly tried and cared, but not enough staff. I only saw 5-7 residents in facility. Doubt it will ever get full with this kind of care. Corporate folks are rude, uncaring, and only worried about appearance and decor. Don’t even know the residents names. Sad shame.....

Terrible experience in the end. Monitoring in public areas so inadequate that my husband wound up in ER [Removed]. Due to severe Sundowning issues brought on by mismanaged medication regimen through a (recommended by Sodalis) hospice service, my husband was asked to leave 3 days before November--after I had prepaid $5250 for November.[Removed]. They refused to refund any of the November monies although he never spent a day in their care in November.

Worse place ever, I would not leave my dog in this place. The day we tour the facility and elderly man fell right in the lobby area of the place it took these folks about 10-15 minutes to have staff attend to him. The rooms are a patch work of DYI gone wrong. Yes it is cheap, but get what you pay for I guess. For a place that is strickly for the elderly the passaways are at times not wide enough to handle two residents with walkers going in opposite directions. Unless you absolutely can not afford anything else I would not recommend you to go to this place.

Did not care for the fact that independent/assisted living apartments were in the front of the facility, and more critical care residents were relegated to a small self-contained building in the back.

We had to move my mom because she had bed sores and they were not giving her her medications when she was supposed to get them, so she was in a lot of pain. I would tell others that if your family member cannot take care of themselves, you should not send them here. We were promised a lot of things up front and they were not able to follow through on them. We had a terrible experience with them and would not recommend them to others who are looking.

I’m writing this review to expose what greedy, uncaring people run this place. I was going to move my mother to the memory care facility. I put down our $500 deposit but unfortunately my mother passed away a week before we were going to move her in. I had written the deposit check several days prior to and they hadn’t deposited it. However, the day she passed I called them and they chose to cash the check that day. Once I realized the check had been cashed and cleared our bank I called them only to be told that our money would be refunded within 30 days. The 30 days have passed and I’ve tried to contact them several times only to get voice mail and no return calls. People that can take advantage of people in their worst times aren’t people that I would entrust my love ones to, I’m just glad my mother never had to experience that lack of caring.

Mom lived in Memory Care for 5 months. The management was terrible! Corporate is only worried about matching decor and making money. Residents that can walk are left to wander around like lost kittens.... Hardly any activities go on in Memory Care. They gave them play dough... Mom ate hers..... The chair bound residents are usually sitting in recliners for 8-12 hours a day with the same tv station playing. Weekends were stagnant unless we or another family brought in goodies. We put a CD player in the dining room with some 50’s cd’s. The residents loved it! Until the corporate lady came in and made staff remove it because she said it “looked tacky” and didn’t go with the “decor”. Food was horrible and always cold. Staff always working short and very underpaid. Just an overall BAD experience and definitely not worth what they charge! Mom lost the ability to walk and feed herself while there. Since we’ve moved out, she’s much better!

I would never have my LO live this facility! Management is the worst! This assisted living has no activity for the residence. The food was terrible! All these residences do all day is sit and watch TV or eat. The care givers can do only what they are taught. It looks nice and clean but looks can be deceiving ..Management is only in it for the money at New Haven!

My mom has been here for a year. Sodalis is very good at marketing, but very poor at follow through. There activities calendar is full of things that look great, but only about 30-40% of them actually occur. Chef prepared meals include cold sandwiches and canned soup. Most residents are dissatisfied, but concerns fall an deaf ears. No management to be found on the weekends. In fact their work days run about 9:30-4:00, when they are actually here. More time is spent marketing the facility at chamber of commerce functions, at the SA rodeo, etc. marketing, marketing marketing, instead of taking care of the needs of current residents. EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED that I chose to put my mom here.!

I would never recommend this place to anyone my brother was recently here and it went horrible for him. The administration was awful and had zero compassion on how they ran things in that place. It was always very messy. I always got such attitude whenever I try to fix something and try to get my brother better care. Overall it was a poor experience.

DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!!!! Put my parent there after being misled that this was a warm community that "cared" for its residents. I was specifically looking for a place that offered music at least a few times a month. I was told they had a dance every month and live music once a week. No dances and I can count on one hand how many times they have had music. They did not even have music for the holidays - my parent has been in a couple of senior places and they always had local school or church groups come in for holiday caroling. They are all about the $$$ and their activity director is a joke. I spoke to several residents who were also fed up and bored out of their minds with her and the lack of quality activities. They have been remodeling for nine months and still not finished. Doors from the outside are left open all day even when it's cold. A few times there have been stray cats lingering around the halls. The final straw was when they fired the home health company that was helping me with my parent on a Friday without telling me and had the new home health company call me on Saturday to find out if I was interested in their service. What if I had been out of town or not able to get back with them for awhile? Would my parent be left without care - no meds, no shower??? The only saving grace this place has is one staff member named Michael who has a real HEART for this (don't know why he's there) and a hairdresser named Alicia who is sweetheart. We finally made the decision to come out of pocket and move my parent into a more professional, caring environment in order to have more peace of mind.
