My siblings and I visited a few facilities, but felt that the staff at Hickory Park was more personable and community member focused than others that we visited; in particular, [name removed] was very helpful. Our mother has lived on her own for many years now, and they transition has been a bit rocky at times, but the staff has been willing to help her get to a better place in the community. They have great offerings for therapy, physical, occupational and speech, with staff members who have been very patient. The biggest challenge has been to get our mother to explore the community more, but we feel that will happen over time; she has only been there for about two months.

We have had a very good experience with Parkside. My dad is doing very well and the staff is great. My dad would like to have more heart healthy options but does enjoy the food options they have. Overall it was a great move for my dad.

The apartments are a nice size. The food is very good. There are many activities . There is very good communication on the meals being served and the activities being offered. I like living here very much.

[name removed] and the Encore staff were the perfect fit for our mother. I cannot say enough about the excellent care and the kindness she was shown. They truly have the residents best interest in mind! The facility is clean and mom is always clean with her hair brushed. Mom loves bingo and as she has declined in her cognitive abilities, [name removed] puts her right next to her so she can help her play her bingo cards. It means so much to have her at a place that she is safe, well cared for and loved. We are forever grateful to [name removed] and the entire staff!!

Encore of South Barrington is the “best decision” we ever made for our Mom’s memory care needs. As soon as you walk through the front door, you should immediately feel at home. Encore provides a warm, enjoyable but structured environment that makes your loved one feel safe and comfortable. The compassionate staff does an exceptional job assisting with bathing, dressing, meals and managing of all of her medications. I personally love that there are daily fun-filled activities and programs planned to keep our Mom engaged and interacting with others. The best part is that our Mom is HAPPY and that makes our family HAPPY.

This place is a hidden gem. We had a wonderful experience. I have been in several other facilities and nothing compares. I also love [community removed]. That's who they recommended for rehab when she fell. Nursing staff and administrators are amazing at the Courtyard. However, the [community removed] is a death trap. That's who the hospital recommends.

I just want to start by saying, the few bad reviews, blow my mind. We moved my loved one a few months ago, we had the best experience. [name removed] and the Assistant, [name removed]. Were there every step of the way. Supportive, and answered every question my family had within seconds. Professional to add. There’s so much involvement in the community, as far as activities, which has helped my loved one get out and mingle. When we stop in and visit, almost daily, the office door is always open and available for anyone to go in and speak. Which leads, always an open door to lead. They must have recently got a new cook, my loved one has said the food has been great lately. I highly recommend you to step into the assisted living and get a feel. This place is heaven compared to other surrounding places. Thank you.

The staff at Encore is very kind. They seem to really care about the residents. Would recommend Encore to any family looking for a clean & comfortable place for their loved one Encore residents are happier & more engaged than other places we looked.

All I will say is that I would recommend Waterford Place

I'm pleased with my Mom's care. Every person I have had the pleasure of working with concerning my Mom have been supportive, loving and caring. Encore is a smaller facility. I chose this home rather than one of the larger ones because I value family. My Mom knows all the staff and residents. She is in great hands. Every time I visit, the residents are involved in a variety of activities. Often there is a visit by someone of interest. Example... a lovely man brought his Cello and played for the residents. My Mom played the cello in High School. She was all smiles!!! Mom was an avid gardener. Her home garden was actually part of a garden tour. I have taken her out to pick out plants. A couple of the other residents helped plant the flowers. Of course her dementia has become worse so the involvement has lessened. She's in a very caring home.

Facility is bright and cheery. Staff go above and beyond. My Mom receives attentive care and she loves living there. She says she feels very safe knowing that someone will help her immediately if necessary. Could not have found a better place locally for her care.

Very comfortable and they take great care of mom. I would recommend to others.

Our loved one did not participate much in the activities and we gave the value for cost a 4 only because I think most everything is overpriced, but it also was brand new. my Mom was there for 2 weeks and ended up have mini strokes and passed a way 2 weeks later. But for the 2 weeks she was there, she was the happiest we had seen her in quite a while. Over all we really liked the place and I recommend it to often to people who are on the fence of where to go and what to do. Mom really liked the staff there and was enjoying making new friends for the short time she was able to.

5+ for all. As my Mom got worse, one of the staff actually came in on her day off to check on my Mom. They were absolutely terrific, I would highly recommend Encore at Bolingbrook community.

We love that everything is included. Definitely feels safe and well-cared for. My mother-in-law can be very particular...but she's been happy there. Lots of activities to do if she chooses. She's in a studio, so we were a little worried it would be too small for her. But it works great for her, fits her needs well.

This has been a perfect fit for my mother. Everyone is so kind and caring. It is a perfect size and not too far of a walk to the dining area even from the furthest room. Always clean and fresh. Great communication

My Dad has been at Encore at Maplewood for 3 months. He just loves having his own apartment. It’s wonderful that he doesn’t have to worry about taking his medication, doing his laundry or cleaning his apartment! The staff at Encore takes care of these needs and so much more. He enjoys the delicious meals served in the homey dining room. He looks forward to the daily activities and friendships that he is continuing to make with the residents. I am so pleased with the better quality of life Encore has given my Dad. Visiting Dad is a treat since he is living in his forever home.

The staff works with the family if there are concerns or requests. They need more activities for "young" seniors. I would recommend Courtyard at Auburn Hills to others.

I was very impressed by their professionalism, caring and commitment to giving her the best care possible.
