I moved my mom into Gracewood 2 weeks ago. I am very pleased with the staff and the care provided. It is a smaller facility so the residents don't "get lost" as far as care goes. The nurse there is great - she really cares and they all want to make sure the resident is well cared for and made to feel comfortable being there. They are very willing to listen to family and work along side you in the care. The rooms are all one room with a bath but if your loved one has a hard time getting around they are fine rooms. The only thing is there isn't much for activities on the weekends.

Parkside Manor is a great facility with an amazing staff, quality care, and all around welcoming atmosphere. The staff truly cares about the residents and are always willing to go the extra mile to make the residents and family members comfortable. I would highly recommend this facility to those looking for a new home for their loved ones.

Chestnut House is a great fit for my mom. The small, comfortable setting lends itself to individual attention. She is able to still have her independence but help with laundry and housekeeping? The meals are well balance and they offer a variety of food.

We have been very happy with them. He seems to enjoy the food there. He doesn't really do the activities much, so that's hard to say. I really don't have any complaints though. It's much better than the place we were at before.

It was a very nice community. The kitchens in the rooms were much larger than at other places. Everyone was so friendly.

I am so pleased that I moved my loved one (my Aunt) to this facility. It's smaller, much more friendly staff, who actually care about what is going on with her. The cost is about the same as the former facility, but TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN EVERY WAY, than Clare Bridge of Troy. My Aunt loves the small group area and there are only 12 residents in her "cottage" which makes it less confusing for her dementia. I wish I would have known about this facility a year ago.

Well planned out. There was enough seating for everyone . The food was excellent also we had the opportunity to share desert with our loved ones. That made it real nice for us to end the evening. I totally enjoyed the event and look forward to the next one.

We are very happy that my mother has decided to live at Fox Point. She is safe now and has been able to enjoy a lot of social interaction with other residents. Her medical needs have been addressed. All of the staff members have been very friendly and helpful.

The nursing staff is excellent! The CNA care givers are also excellent. It is a beautiful place at Autumn Leaves of Crystal Lake and my mom is very happy there.

My spouse is much happier in this special environment than in the rehab/nursing center where 2 mos. were spent. The rooms are much more spacious and even provide more privacy in a semi-private room. Facilities for watching TV and activities as well as dining are more plentiful and comfortable. Th e caregivers toilet residents every few hours to prevent accidents and to prevent them from having to sit in soiled Depends for lengthy periods. Showers are more frequent -- 3xweek versus 1xweek, so cleanliness and hygiene is better. Rates are comparable to other facillities. They have a great interface with Heartland Hospice. They also offer free seminars and support group meetings for friends and family of residents to help them deal with, understand and otherwise live with the dementia diagnosis of a loved one. And allow the caregiver/s respite from this difficult job.

We were very impressed from the first time we went to Bellevue. All the staff AND residents that we passed said "Hi". And they all seemed cheerful and happy. The public rooms are spacious and inviting. Expecially, mom seems to be more perky and sociable!!

Things have gone very well at HarborChase so far! It is just the sort of place we were looking for. They don't offer a lot of "frills" here, but the basic care they provide is excellent. The staff are very respectful and understanding of the challenges faced by their residents. The help they provide is low-key, practical, and down-to-earth, which always my loved one to feel relaxed and comfortable here. The residents and staff are all very friendly, and they've got a good variety of activities to keep everyone engaged and social, Mom is really enjoying herself here!

The carpet in the main living areas, is stained and could use some cleaning or a replacement. Everything else is pretty clean. The base price is fine, and they don't have a menu, for an a la carte deal, If you have any kind of assistance, like have having someone remind you to come to activities, then you are charged a level of care. Which is a flat rate and kind of high. The food is pretty good. They have a good amount of activities. The activities director is really personable, and talks to my mom too, not just to me. I think she is pretty happy there.

I am so glad we found Fox Point Manor. My mom was in memory care. All the staff was warm, caring and kind. I can't say enough about them! They did an outstanding job attending to her personal, mental and health needs. She always was treated with dignity and respect. We too felt part of the Fox Point Manor family.

Sometimes the communication is not that great. I'm still trying to get my dad his depends that they said they would get through medicare/the VA. My dad has internet that he doesn't need but that's a comcast problem I guess. I found that it's a lot of follow up, talking to people in the office and the staff and over here and over there to try to get everything together. That's been a problem.

Incredible place for the residents they serve. My father is not at that level yet but if he was, they tend to the clients very well

Staff are well trained in dementia and try to keep your loved ones engaged in activities.

Mom is losing her vision and mobility. She says everyone is nice & the food is good. Mom is starting to go to happy hour and meet new people. Without good vision its not easy but shes in good hands.

Positives: Staff seems genuinely kind. There are a lot of activities. My gets a lot of exercise via their PT program. It is a well maintained facility. Negatives: she doesn't like the food very much. It is carb heavy and bland.
