There is a nice park right in front. If they are able downtown is less than a block away. As with most older places they do have some problems. Mainly with one of the elevators. It date backs to the 50's.

All of the staff that we met were kind, helpful and accommodating. There are lots of fun activities monthly and they have a Facebook page so you can see your loved one participating in the activities.

Much nicer now that it is Noble Senior Living. Caregivers really want to help make my brother comfortable. They have gone above and beyond to accommodate his needs.

A Place for Mom has scored Elevated Estates with 7.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score based on 48 reviews in the last 2 years. Over all time, Elevated Estates has 183 reviews with an average "overall experience" of 4.2 out of 5.
We can answer your questions but we are not pleased with the responsiveness (or lack thereof) after the move in. My MIL has moved to long term care and we did not get any response from Edwinola after giving notice. We also tried connecting with A Place for Mom again and received no return calls after leaving 2 messages for 2 different people. The staff were friendly when we were there as potential buyers - afterwards it was difficult to contact anyone

Area of improvement - tendency to be manipulative for business purposes. For me I owned my own business. But a little more open with information would be helpful. They want everything their way.

I like the events offered for my mom. She just transferred to this location, so unable to give a full review; but I'm liking the environment so far.

Overall, the staff is very friendly. The rooms are nice. However, there are no places for the residents to walk outdoors. They have only the indoor hallways available for walking. They've undergone new management, and they no longer have a nurse on staff. They also do not have an activities director; therefore there are no activities. The price is high for what they're offering right now.

The food was not very good but the facility was good for us for what we needed. There was not a lot for her to do nearby and the activities didn't really fit her age group. Her favorite thing about the community was the balcony and the hairdresser. The staff was very professional.

Older facility, dark and unattractive, and smelled extremely bad. Did accept Medicaid, however, and seemed adequately staffed.

This community does not have enough staff to keep a good eye on my husband. I told the staff but they were unable to fully watch him.He fell a few times here. The staff are nice people.

I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This seemed like a nice enough place in terms of the care provided and the friendliness of the staff, but I just didn't think it looked as nice as some other options that I had seen in the area.

My in-laws moved to Villas from Atria so my father-in-law could receive memory care. Mom is independent but was in the same room with dad. She were not happy with the situation since there weren't any other residents for mom to associate with. They especially did not like the food. They moved out in about 6 weeks back to an Atria.

We toured this facility after we toured Spring Oaks. This one has 1/3 more residents. It seemed a little older and less bright than the other one we visited. A private room was not an option here. The assisted living residents only outside option was out the front door. The enclosed outside area could only be accessed from the memory care community. However, we do know one of the residents here and she is quite happy and wanted us to move our mother in there also but we chose not to.

The biggest complaint my parents had was the food. I ate there a couple times and it was no good at all. The elevators were broken a lot. There were water leaks often. Bugs in the rooms. Strong sewer smells downstairs. The bus doesn't have handicap access. Just an overall bad experience.

My mother in law did not stay very long at Elevated Estates Edwinola community as she was back in rehab after just a couple of weeks. She had a fall and we were never able to ascertain why she was not able toget help during the night.

There's a lot of maintenance needed at Elevated Estates Edwinola (water leaks, AC/heat out for days, spotty internet for TV, confusion over medication management, elevators out of service, awful food, community bus does not accommodate walkers or wheelchairs etc). Just all in all, a bad experience. I would not recommend Elevated Estates Edwinola to others.

Areas this community could improve on to better the experience would be to have regular eating times for the residents, as well as changing our loved ones clothes each day. The bathing however was good. At the moment we would not recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

My loved one was previously a resident at Elevated Estates Edwinola and our experience at this facility was not a good one. If safety were one of the ratings, I would rate it at zero. The cleanliness and friendliness were okay. The staff and value for cost were poor. The care services and the meals and dining were terrible. I really wouldn't recommend Elevated Estates Edwinola to anyone. I wish it had been better, but it just wasn't.

Like I was saying food been brought to the floor in the same elevator with all residents coughing and sneezing - Not very healthy Number. They get cold meals, they don't get enough food, every one stay hungry. The elevator is a safety problem.

This facility has been so disappointing, the director has been rude to a dear friend who has been helping me with my mom. Now she is so hurt she feels she can not go back to see my mom. My mom is 101 years old, I'm 80, disabled an can not do a lot for mom, Mom is blind and deaf has a walker needs a lot of help. This friend is so hurt that she is crying. The food at this facility is horrible, one aid in particular seems to be a trouble maker and should be replaced. I had so much hope with this place , such a disappointment.

The employees lie to you a lot because it does not make it very great. I had a lot of misinformation. This is a cute community but it is hard to deal with. They have activities like yoga classes, work out classes, church, bingo and more for the residents. They also have someone that comes in to do activities with them which is nice.
