Elevated Estates

Very nice facility - clean and well kept. Staff were very caring and concerned about my dad's wellbeing. Meeting with the head of nursing, physical therapy and admissions gave me hope that I've found a perfect place for my dad.

I have been here since Sept 2018. I love it here, The staff and friends are what makes Edwinola. They are great. This is home. A few bumps make it real

You have to be a special person to be able to take care of residents in the memory care unit. I took note of [name removed] whose experience is apparent as she tends to all with kindness and compassion. How fortunate we are to have [name removed], along with many other caregivers, watching over our loved ones.

The staff at Forest Oaks is a ten! They are amazing. The staff is attentive to my mother who goes there to visit my dad all the time. The admin and the owner go out and interact with the residents and my mom. They make sure my mom is okay since she is there so often. They give dignity back to the residents. They go the extra mile to assist and aid the residents. Quality wise, the food seems fine.

The whole process of finding a memory care place for Mom was overwhelming and hard to accept. I toured The Villas and was impressed by the overall appearance of the building. It was NOT what I expected. The young woman that toured us was compassionate and thorough with explaining all of our options. We knew what we were getting for the money we were paying with NO hidden fees. The staff were all very friendly and engaged with the people who live there. We were taken around the whole building and shown different size rooms, the activity programs, and a special room they use to help calm anyone who may get irritable or anxious like my mother. I thought this feature was a great idea and would like to spend my afternoons in there too! The sales person walked us through all our payment options and provided us with resources we didn't know Mom may qualify for. I have started the process to move Mom to The Villas. As difficult as it is to let someone else care for her, I feel that this is the right place for her and that she can stay here even as her disease progresses. I plan on visiting often to enjoy meals with Mom (which smelled heavenly when we arrived) and attend some of the activities with her as well.

Everyone is agreeable and lets me know what’s going on. Anything happens, they call me and let me know. They’re always cleaning. It’s one the best places I’ve found for the money. They are really on top of it!

I don't know the rates over there about staff X Pacients but I observed that some pacients waiting long time until they get help they need. I saw pacient eating napkins while waiting for food at dinner table. And I recommend you guys to think about to get free foods (there is a bunch of places) and pay for a cooker to prepare the meals. It will be healthy and delicious and you guys can save money, instead of fast food.

Overall, things seem to be going well. When the weather turned cold, they promptly provided a portable heater to keep the room comfortable, which was appreciated. He has mentioned some complaints about the food, though this has been a consistent concern for him at every place he’s stayed. The room is kept clean and well maintained.

Very pleased with most everything. We picked them because of the location, cost, and staff.

I feel like everyone could do a little better taking care of someone like my husband.. and making sure they have and use the correct contact info should a patient have a major issue! Be the time I got the message (due to staff dialing incorrectly!!!) that my husband had an incident, my husband had been intubated!!!!He never regained consciousness!! That flaw in correct dialing caused so much stress and heartache for myself and our entire family!

They are very good at medications, they watch the patient take them, you don't find them in your mother's pants!??. Mom is one of those that will seek out to find any way out, she found the one window and tried to go out so I can't blame them. They fixed it right away but if you're on the third floor, please make sure all the windows are locked. The staff was wonderful. They have laundry on each floor so the clothes come back to them, I'm having a hard time with mom's clothes they disappear and everybody else is wearing them. oh the food they have wonderful food. They actually give them real milk and not powdered crystal light to drink. Do not recommend Best care senior living of Port Ritchie. That's where my mother is. It is horrible. I can't wait to get her out of there. They also have nice areas for people that want to smoke cigarettes. The place we're at now they can't go outside without supervision and they only have one person per building so they never get to go out to have a cigarette not that my mom smokes, but the others would like a break and go outside ! They also have entertainment on music, TVs , and other entertainment. There is no entertainment at my mother's place. I almost got arrested trying to get the TV fixed !!

There is a nice park right in front. If they are able downtown is less than a block away. As with most older places they do have some problems. Mainly with one of the elevators. It date backs to the 50's.

They appear to be a very caring staff. Meals could be improved but we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had.

The staff go far beyond what is expected of them. They are caring and become like a second family. The food is good, the chef is wonderful and the workers in the dining room are terrific. I highly recommend Elevated Estates. The only complaint I have is that they don't have an alarm to get ahold of an aid if needed. I kind of understand though, with the memory care patients, it would go off all if the time

Elevated Estates Edwinola is in a location. Rooms and building need some sprucing up of paint, floors and patching walls from past tenants. Overall no major complaints. Everyone we have met staff and tenants seem contented.

Mom was taken good care of. Really the only issue was she had a lot of clothing and half of it came up missing. Her name was either ironed in or marked with magic marker. Many were brand new. The biggest issue she had was being overwhelmed with how big the home was so therefore more confused than usual. Her roommate didn’t care much for Mom being in their room either….she refused to allow Mom to open the blinds and let light in. Otherwise the nurses were all very good no issues at all.

We are very happy with Elevated Estates!! The people there really care. And they all know Dad by name. As far as the facility goes, it is a little dated and not impressive when you walk in the door. But if you want excellent care for your loved one. This is the place. And there are no added charges every time you turn around. It's a flat rate. And of course every Memory Care goes up a percentage each year!! We would recommend it. They take good care of Dad!!

These are based on very limited time spent on the premises. This was the only ALF I encountered that would accept my aunt given her, at the time, very limited mobility. I would definitely recommend it for consideration.

These are some newly remodeled Studio suites as the building was an hotel. The main house and long porch are beautiful. The park across the small through street is very nice. They have it decorated for Christmas. Most apartments have a balcony. There is a secure in garden with a gazebo. The elevator needs repeat repairs. Very clean Work no bad smells and a cute small store and beauty shop.
