Eddy Senior Living

I had a good tour experience with Eddy Memory Care at Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center. My only real issue was that my loved one would have gone into skilled nursing and then moved again into a nursing home. I didn't want too many moves for her. I also liked another facilities' atmosphere better.

We had a wonderful tour experience with The Terrace at The Glen - we loved everything about the facility. The staff were great about giving us information and followed up with us after the tour to check in. Unfortunately they did not have any openings during the time frame that we were needing the respite stay for our loved one.

We had a really nice tour experience with The Terrace at Glen Eddy. The facility was clean and we really loved everything that we saw. The staff were great with their follow up after the tours as well. Unfortunately they did not have availability for respite stay in the time range that we were looking for. We ended up going with another Terrace facility.

My parent has been there for sometime and we have always been happy. The care is great. They are working on the food she tells me.

I believe the staff is great. [Name removed] listens to my problems and tries to solve them. [Name removed] (activities) is a hard working and caring person. [Name removed] is wonderful at the desk. The food, the whole department, needs and overhaul when it comes to cooks, chefs, buying and cooking, etc.!!!

I've only lived here for 7 weeks, hence my rating reflects the preliminary experience I've had to date, but that experience is very positive.

I like to have 3 meals per day. Activities are fun and interesting. Exercise classes keep me going.

We have been residents of Glen Eddy in Niskayuna for approximately three years. Our primary interest in moving to a senior living facility was having someone else take on some of the cooking, cleaning, and upkeep chores that were our sole responsibility living by ourselves in a single family home. Glen Eddy has, in fact, provided the supportive living arrangements we were looking for an much more. Meals, rides, entertainment, and home maintenance are all provided or arranged by friendly staff members who make a real effort to accommodate Glen Eddy residents. Thanks to their efforts, we have in the time and energy to fully enjoy life and each other. It alsi must be said that living in a place with others who have similar needs and interests has been an added plus. We've made many friends and become part of the place we now call home.

I have lived here for 20 years and feel that it meets my needs very well.

The staff members that we deal with directly are wonderful, but sometimes the management team is slow to respond. The value for cost is well worth it, our loved one has a very nice and spacious 2 bedroom apartment. The bedroom and closet is unbelievably big, she is enjoying having a separate living room and a nice kitchenette. This community is very accommodating to all residents, it feels more like a home. The means are good for the most part, and they have a ton of activities during the week. Over the weekend we do wish there was a little more, but we know a lot of times those are the days families come and take there loves ones out for the weekend.
