My experience at the Glen has been very positive. I have a lovely apartment, interesting friends. I feel safe here. The staff is friendly and helpful. My family does not have to worry as they know I am happy and safe. The grounds and interior are well taken care of. This has been the right decision for me.

I have been a resident of Eddy Beechwood for five Months. From my first Day I have felt the warmth and consideration for my well being from both residents and staff alike. I must also praise the food preparation and dinning service.

The community had good care, food was decent, the rooms were nice. We didn't have any problems with this community. They had several activities in the community. The nurses were good and knowledgeable.

My mother has been a resident at MDRC for 2 1/2 years and we couldn't be happier with her care. The physical environment is always pristine-their housekeeping staff keeps everything absolutely spotless. The nursing staff is friendly and very involved with the patients and their families. We feel so comfortable with everyone who cares for her, they are truly angels sent from above! As difficult as it is to have a parent who needs a memory care facility, the staff at MDRC make it so much easier, we always know that she is in good hands and is incredibly well taken care of. We have been beyond impressed with the facility as well as the kind and compassionate patient care at MDRC.

The Glen Eddy has been a nurturing and loving community for my mom over the past 14 years. Mom's good friends there and the various activities and groups keep her engaged and vibrant - even during the Covid pandemic. And when she wants privacy and quiet, she has her lovely, well-kept apartment. The Glen Eddy has been for mom exactly what my sister and I hoped it would be ... a blessing!

Moved mom and dad to The Terrace at Glen Eddy after a less-than-optimal experience at another nearby long term care facility. The level of care and attention my parents are receiving at The Terrace is absolutely outstanding! Even in the midst of necessary COVID restrictions, I am very impressed at how life is SO much richer and more rewarding here. Every staff member goes above and beyond to make my parents feel loved and cared for. Highly recommend Glen Eddy!

My family and I are very thankful for the Glen Eddy at Niskayuna. We understand all of the restrictions and guidelines that must be in place due to the COVID pandemic. My parents now reside at the Glen Eddy. My mother is a retired nurse who spent a great deal of her life taking care of others. The Glen Eddy follows the COVID regulations and restrictions while taking into consideration that there are also emotional factors that affect health. Instead of isolating residents to the extreme as other health care facilities practice, the Glen Eddy continued with the important daily routines of meal service and entertainment that are essential to a person who now needs assistance with their personal and health care needs. My parents were suffering in isolation where they had been residing (I can not say living), and quarantined to their room for months at a very different assisted living facility. They were on a downward spiral both mentally and physically. I am not exaggerating when I say that since they have been at the Glen Eddy, they have re-gained their lives and health and have been treated with kindness and respect. There are ways to practice safety and still live a safe and happy life. The Glen Eddy has offered amazing emotional care on top of impeccable nursing care and attention to timely and accurate medication and physical fitness. I am happy to speak to anyone who would like any more details. I can not begin to put into words how perfect the Glen Eddy and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Glen Eddy is a delightful community to live in. The residents are friendly, the staff members are very helpful, responsive and caring. The food is quite enjoyable and the building and grounds are well kept

My wife & I moved to the The Glen at Hiland Meadows about two years ago after researching about twelve Independent Living Communities and visiting eight. We chose The Glen for several reasons but the primary reason was the people: both residents living there and staff. Residents are the good neighbors you expect and a staff who is always willing to assist to make your life better.

I was happily surprised by how I was treated in my new apartment by both the staff and the other tenants here. Many were not just welcoming, but also very supportive and friendly to me from the start! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I was very happily surprised by the staff and the other people who were in the house of the Glen. They were welcoming and supportive to me when I needed them to be. Helpful in directing me to the right place for meals, library, after dinner activities, pool, daytime activities, eating areas, knitting or sewing classes, hobbies, art, or games that are offered to all or to who is just interested. It was also important that it offered a safe space that I could cook, and spend quiet time in too. The checks made on you help me to feel safe & comfortable, while allowing animals that I can visit as well as enjoy for & with myself!

People here are great- Staff and residents. The staff are caring and loving. We enjoy our life here very much!

I moved into Hawthorne Ridge over 10 years ago. I have never regretted my choice of place to go. (I looked at several), when I needed to move our of my house. The best thing is the staff. Everyone of them are very friendly and helpful. There to help and usually with a smile. I also feel very safe and comfortable living here.

Staff are polite and friendly. However, I found it a bit superficial. It is a very comfortable setting. Nice restaurant, library, and sitting areas. Overall, a good place. Would recommend if prospective residents are comfortable financially

Overall experience is 4, mostly because my dad is not embracing the new lifestyle (his wife died date removed ago & he is depressed).The activities is a 4 because my dad says they don't offer things he likes (sadly he doesn't like anything now, so it's not fully on them.) Value is a 5, but we got a half-off deal on the initial buy-in so that made it accessible. If it was full price we may not have selected Glenn Eddy.

Friendly staff and warm inviting facility. Dad is happy there. Quickly brought into a group and activities. Very caring and helpful when dad has had any health concern. Although there were other facilities that we also considered this is the one dad chose. He felt most comfortable with the other residents and staff. He also liked the location and having safe places to walk or enjoy the outdoors.

The facility is very nice on every level. The only reason for not giving it a 5 rating is because no place is perfect. There are usually some faults. I would definitely recommend this facility to others.

We chose this facility and did all the work the hospital was supposed to do. This facility met my dad's needs The staff and residents are also very approachable and friendly.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Terrace at Eddy Memorial and everything has been very good for him at this facility so far. Communication with the family has been excellent. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend The Terrace at Eddy Memorial to others.

Dad really likes it. They have wonderful food friendly, and outgoing staff. Lots of chances to interact with others and be social. Try hard to make it welcoming while still providing care and extra services. Admin staff are a bit hard to catch for questions or to get paperwork. But they do get back to you. And dad has been able to talk with them so that is important. The floor staff, cleaning, nurses, general… are all very nice and helpful.
