Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with Legacy Pointe. The staff had taken care of my Dad as if he was their own. The facility was exceptionally clean and neat. There are plenty of common areas for residents to visit and activities available as well. The individual units were sized just right with enough space for furnishings. And the location is easy to reach - easy drive from I-80 and Highway 6.

The meals could be better. I would say it's a good place with good staff. It's more affordable than some and in particular their nursing staff is better at working with the residents. They don't force extra charges which was our experience at another community.

Often when I was there, very few people were in the common spaces. I would like to see the facility encourage people to get out of their apartments more. Also, I think more creativity would go into the activities. They seemed to have the same activities that so many seniors living places have like bingo and crafts. They need more activities that appeal to men.

Overall we did think the value was pretty good while our loved one was a resident there, the meals were good but they were smaller portioned which was to be expected and we could see how hard the staff tried to get the residents involved in the activities. However when it came to the quality of care, it seemed like they just did not have all the supplies that were needed to care for the residents. Some of the staff members were amazing and others not so much. They were experiencing staffing issues just like everyone else.

Before [name removed] came on board, we were very disappointed with the care my brother was receiving. The turnover was extreme. Now that she has been in her position, along with [name removed], the care has greatly improved!! We are so thankful to the WHOLE staff for everything they are doing for the residents!

It's a modern facility. They recently underwent a change in management, and I've seen improvements under the new management. They do have some larger living units, which is nice. The food is pretty good, and the views form the dining hall are awesome. They have a full spectrum view of the front range. And the care staff works hard.

Comparatively speaking, we chose Hyland Hills because of the condition of the facility - it is new. The size and appearance of the units was great as well. Like everywhere else they are having some challenges with finding enough staff. Overall I would recommend Hyland Hills to others.

It is new and bright and cheerful. It was just bought by another company in mid-October, so going thru some transition issues but nothing major. Very friendly staff. Good place for the price. And they have great Mountain Views from the top floor (6th) where the dining and activities are located.

The community was okay. It seemed much darker in the community itself and I really liked the staff at another community.

The main reason we chose Lake Barrington Woods was because the location is close to all of our family. I like that you can go in and out at anytime which is very nice. I go early in the morning and late at night and at other facilities, they had visiting hours so it is a plus that they do not do that here. There is also always someone at the front desk. They have recently gone through some management turnover, so there have been some changes within the facility. I would recommend Lake Barrington Woods to others.

Beautiful facilities with wonderful amenities and activities provided. They are understaffed like everywhere else, so resident rooms are dirty and call response time lags.

Jackson Creek has been pretty good, but I do have a couple of complaints. My mom is not been a position to be able to go down to their dining facility, and she will often have something delivered to her room. Sometimes it takes forever to get to her and sometimes the food is cold. One time last week she never got her meal. They're also supposed to come in and clean her room once a week or so, but they don't do a very good job. They haven't been vacuuming; they kind of do a dry mop on a hardwood floor, which just pushes the dust and crumbs around. They haven't actually vacuumed the carpet. I was going to bring in my own vacuum and do it myself. They gave an excuse of their vacuum not working very well, and it being too expensive to purchase a new vacuum. The cleaning and food delivery services are not that great. Other than that, the people have been very nice and it has been good other than those two things. The place as a whole, I think, is very clean. The move in was great as well. The help that they provided to get moved in and the correspondence with the lady I was dealing with, she was great in making sure everything was squared away.

Truly a warm and welcoming community, all workers I came into contact with were cheerful, open and friendly.

There is actually an owner on site everyday. They have been responsive to my loved one's needs.

The staff was incredibly helpful with my loved one's care and in looking after her. Any place can put in a nice building, but it was really the staff that made Lake Barrington Woods. If we had it to do over again, we would go back there.

It gives an older person a chance to have a new life. They get to go from being lonely to being active and having socialization with peers. The facility is short-staffed and has some temporary staff coming in, so there are times where the care is good and times when it's bad. They've been responsive when I express concerns, but issues persist and might not resolve until they no longer have a need to bring in temporary staff.

Our family had an in person tour and The atmosphere was amazing and the facility was very very nice but it was too far for me and way over my budget

Has been a good place for our loved one. Many options has allowed our loved one to settle in nicely and make it like home. Food options are improving over time, more options more selections. Needs more fresh vegetable and fruits options. Activities are improving as well and seem to have decent program. Nice facility and kept up and clean. Friendly staff all around. Residents are also quite friendly.

We are very pleased with our decision to move to Legacy Pointe. The facility is clean, most of the staff are friendly. They answer our call pendants promptly. The quality of food is good and the menu offers a variety of choices. The facility we were in previously was much more costly and less space. We now have two bathrooms which is a real plus. Our apt was just remodeled and beautifully done.
