Things are going really good. She is kind settling in there and everything seems to be okay. It was a little rough at first, but I think "knock on wood" things are going to be fine now.

Everyone is friendly here. The staff is great and even the residents are helpful. The facility is very clean at all times. There are plenty of activities, the food is decent and the facility seem to be well organized.

The overall management induces core values that are displayed by all the key personnel. The facility is run with the residents interests put on the front line of care. The small knit environment provides constant coverage for the needs of all.

We have been very happy with Silvercrest. The staff have been so helpful and caring. Our parents moved here from Detroit, Michigan, where they had lived for 50 years. The transition has been so smooth. We feel very good about the care they are receiving. It has been a huge comfort to us. Many of their doctors come to Silvercrest for treatment, which has made it so easy on us. I cannot say enough good about this place!

I think they are doing very well. My parents are happy, so I am happy. The food is very good, and they seem to be able to ask for less if they want, or choose something different if they don't like the feature of the day, so there are options. My mom is really happy with the beauty parlor, she is happy with the woman who does her hair. The nursing staff and CNA's are very good, and they are responsive. I like that it's a smaller scale place, it's more intimate, and doesn't look like an assisted living place at all, more like a boutique hotel.

Overall things are going well here. it is a nice clean place, and they treat everyone well.

We call Lake Barrington Woods, LBW, affectionately. LBW is a wonderful place with a couple of exceptions. 1) There is high turnover among the upper level managers. They have a new Executive Director and hopefully she will have some affect. 2) They do what it takes to make the residents happy. But... that may not always be in the resident's best interests. For instance, a resident may ask for more and more pain pills than they should have. They will give them the pills without looking at the big picture just to keep the resident happy. To me this is a big issue. I find I have to keep a close eye on my relative so that I know what is going on with his health. But...the rooms are laid out well. The food is very good. They have a lot of activities. The staff is kind and always has time to stop and say hello. If you need something all you have to do is ask anyone and they will help you. I like the emergency pendant that each resident wears around their neck. I like the swimming pool and the work out room. They have more activities than any one person can attend and they do encourage you to attend some of them. They have a VFW post in the building and they have a Men's club. Bottom line is if you want something ask. Don't assume they don't have it or you can't have it. A lot of times they will go out of their way to accommodate you.

Our starting place was with "A Place for Mom" and Joann Fischbach. Her knowledge and expertise were invaluable. We did not have a clue as to where to start looking without her help. My sister and I moved into Silvercrest at Deer Creek about 5 weeks ago, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. It's a beautiful and well-managed facility, and we have a lovely apartment. We have heard from so many of the residents about how happy they are to be here. This definitely was a wise choice and, best of all, we independently made the decision before our kids had too.

Overall they do an excellent job here! The restaurant service is terrific, the food is good and the wait staff are great. They could stand to change the menu a little more often, however. They also do an excellent job with the activities here, they have a good variety and a lot going on throughout the day. One thing they would work on is going a little farther to reach out to the residents to make sure everyone gets involved.

My father in law has been a resident for about a year at this facility. The people are very good and caring. The food is terrific.. and the attitude is always positve. I pray I get a place like this to stay when it is my turn.

This is the first facility that I visited, so I don’t have anything to compare it to. The Staff was very friendly and professional. The facility was very nice and clean and no odors. Residents were friendly and they had activity going on I think history trivia. The building is a little bit older. The assisted living has just recently been remodeled, but not independent living . The location is in a really nice neighborhood with a park nearby and good access to Hickman Rd. and I-35. Great Communication and follow-up from the sales staff. It is definitely a possibility! Something that I didn’t care for independent living is two buildings so residents that live across the street have to walk over for every meal. The day I was there. It was very cold so they were getting bundled up with their coats and hats and walkers after lunch to walk back across the parking to their building.

Activities, vibrant common areas, friendly staff, clean, residents enjoy the food - right sized servings, in-house medical. I would recommend to others.

My experience with them was great, however my mother moved herself out & is responsible for her own care. I would recommend them.

No complaints ( except that folks hole up pretty soon after dinner !) The apartment size and location of the community is fine. I would recommend it to others who are searching for a place for their loved one.

The staff overall has been very good. They are friendly and attentive. I wish the facility arranged more off site activities. Overall this is a great community and reasonably priced.

I have never personally been to Independence Village of Peoria. I live in California. We have many relatives including one of my sisters in Peoria and Chicago. So that's the reason my parents wanted to move there. The pictures my parents have sent all look great. I think the facility is very modern and clean. My parents like the other residents and the staff very much. They have not been thrilled with the food. But a new chef was recently hired and they are hopeful. My mother requires a gluten- free diet and this place has not been accommodating for her needs. She is used to that and supplements her meals with her own food that she brings. I'm disappointed in this aspect but in all other ways so far, it has been great for them.

The staff is friendly and accommodating. I would recommend Hyland Hills to others.

I would rate it 4.5 Staff is great, some amount of turnover.. especially drivers, food ands and dining very good! The apartments are a plus! Modern and nicely sized. Huge bathroom.

They were very friendly on the independent side have an outstanding nurse and the food was good. The apartment sizes are good. You get wi-fi. And Tv. All utilities are also included. There is a difference between independent and assisted.

We moved my sister there the first week of July. She has acclimated to the new environment. They have a great staff and activities for all. The place is always clean and welcoming. It is very well ran and take care of all. I would recommend it, at least for information and what they can do for our loved ones.
