I am very happy with the community. The only issue I have is that the staff could be better at proactively reaching out to the family about our loved one. They are a wonderful community. Cherry Blossom is assisting with bathing, hygiene, and medication management for my loved one. The community is providing laundry service, housekeeping, room, and three meals a day for the monthly fee. Some of the activities that are available are exercises, music therapy, aroma therapy, polishing of nails, games, karaoke, special holiday events and more for the residents to choose from. The food is very delicious.

I had a great tour with Glenwood. I was interviewing from out of town and they did a good job with the virtual tour. All of the staff were friendly and it looked to be a good facility.

It is easy living and wonderful. Everything is taken care of, including personal maintenance team. They keep the shrubs and lawns cleaned up. It is pretty, and I like having my own little cottage. They have a picnic every Friday at the meeting cottage, Bible study group, meal plan opportunities, and more for the residents.

She was quarantined the whole time she was here which was 2 weeks because she was here for respite and it was during covid so I think her experience would have been different if that was not the case. It is a beautiful place and I think she would have had a really nice time in non covid times . I think it would have been nice if the administrative staff could have told me that she would not be able to interact and participate in activities. The staff members were very nice and helpful whenever we would call in to check on her. I would recommend them to others who are looking.

My mom just loves this place. It is friendly, helpful and fun. The staff goes above and beyond what is asked of them, and they have been patient with me who is novice caregiver. Every day is a new learning day, and they help get through it all. Great job, keep going!

The tour was fine. I saw available units, as well as common use parts of the facility. The person who spoke with me and escorted me thru the facility was informative. It seems like an acceptable place.

We had all of our questions answered. Our guide was quite informative and helpful. We were impressed with the facilities and programs. But one negative was th the location of the condos. Both times we have visited l got quite wet due to a heavy rain. And I thought how miserable it would be in winter. Mostly Iwas very impressed, but the condos' location might be an inconvenience.

Like most facilities of this kind, I think Ashton Commons doesn't have enough staff. I realize that it's a difficult line of work, and it's often hard to keep enough staff on hand, so I'm not sure that this is a criticism of Ashton Commons specifically, but of assisted living/nursing home facilities in general. Most of the staff is very kind and caring, but there are not enough of them to go around, particularly on the weekend. The facility itself is beautiful, and my mother is very happy there. I also think that the administration is probably over worked, and there have been several things that have slipped through the cracks that just make me wonder about efficiency and competence. Nothing super serious though.

Overall, I would describe the care here as above average. It's hard to expect everything to be perfect in this kind of setting, but the staff generally did a solid job supporting residents and handling daily needs. Meals, medication management, and assistance with routines like getting up, dressed, and ready for bed were handled consistently, and the environment was clean and well maintained. The activity program stood out as a strong point, with genuine effort put into understanding residents' preferences and keeping them engaged. Most of the staff were attentive and compassionate, especially when it came to managing memory-related behaviors. However, there were some frustrating moments when noticeable changes in condition didn't seem to be acted on as quickly as they could have been, and delays in follow-through added to that concern. There was also one negative interaction with a staff member that lacked sensitivity during an already emotional situation, though it was later acknowledged and addressed by leadership. While I would have liked to see more consistent engagement from executive staff in certain areas, the overall experience was still positive. I would consider recommending this facility to others, keeping in mind that expectations are naturally high when it comes to caring for a loved one.

Always clean RA's, always attentive. First week not real good mom went eight or nine days without a shower.

My daughter and I visited Cherry Blossom Memory Care facility when we were researching a place for my husband who has Parkinson’s disease with Parkinson’s dementia. [Name Removed] took us on our tour and she was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The care unit was nice and clean and residents seemed to be well taken care of.

What I like the most about the community is that it is convenient, well kept and the employees are nice and always wanting to help. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families it is a great place to live!

The social events are great. Free daily happy hour(well not free, I'm sure it's built into the rent) for residents and family. It's been a great motivator to get my college aged daughters over to see their grandmother!

My experience in my independent living cottage is 4. My husband's experience in assisted living and later memory care is less good. AL. 4 and MC. 2 or 3. There has been lots of turnover of directors - both overall director and directors of various departments. Staff are very friendly. It's clear, however, that Highgrove is run by a large corporation. Rents increase annually, which may be inevitable. I now have seen several other communities through my husband's experiences at memory care in other facilities, two of which have now closed. He is now at [community removed], which seems quite good.

Generally clean - but dining area in memory care does not get cleaned after meals. They do, however, clean up, before the next meal. Some employees I would definitely rate a 5. Overall quality is good but weekends and night shift could be improved. A little more variety would be good but I understand it is very hard to get everyone engaged in memory care. The cost of all these places is utterly crazy but considering other facilities, I'm sure it is decent; they do offer quite a lot

We have found the staff to be very accommodating and pleasant. They take their time and are very patient with their residents. There are plenty of activities and events. They are taking good care of Mom! We are very pleased with Highgrove!

The staff speeds on the entrance street. Apartment size is fine and the physical location of the complex is great. Would recommend to others considering this community.

Cherry Blossom Senior Living is a beautiful and clean facility with a staff that is kind and attentive to the needs of the tenants.

Over all my complaints were about food... often not hot, & for example, I ordered a chicken salad on a croissant....it came on bread & was a mixture of dark meat of chicken and a little bit of mayonnaise. Nothing else wasn't too impressive. It's super for walking, whether to shop , hold puppies , get a pedicure, have your hair styled, eat at one of the restaurants or just ppl watch! And OSU Outpt Clinic will make doctor appts. easily accessible, plus there is an Urgent Care facility also. Parking was a snap but have no idea with the Community Center right there how that will impact parking & traffic congestion .

Make sure families get all the details regarding any additional costs related to services upfront and before you move in. Have them explain to the families who you contact for different questions whether it is facility related questions, care, food, or miscellaneous questions.
