The staff were nice during the tour and informative. We didn't see any residents and seemed like a ghost town to us. We wanted a community that didn't have a nursing home feel to it.

Some of the staff members are great and really care about the residents, and others are there just for a paycheck. I think that is universal everywhere though. The meals at the Barrington are usually pretty good and if you don't like "the special" for that meal, you can always request from a limited menu of other things such as an omelet, hamburger or grilled cheese. The Barrington has lots of activities for its residents if they are interested in participating, but my parents didn't really get much of an introduction/welcome, which I think would have helped them adjust better. The facility has been dealing with staffing issues, like other businesses, so sometimes are short staffed and things slip.

The Promenade is beautiful, actually closer to me, but geared more towards independent living. Maybe in the future they will be more equipped to care for dementia patients.

Don't think any facility that does this kind of work is wonderful based on the disease but Naples Green Village does better than most. Personal has been there for years and care as much as one can care, taking care of this type of individual.

There are some wonderful caregivers and workers here (reception, kitchen/dining, nurses, social director, etc.) A few that are real gems. I can’t thank them enough. They treat my dad so well even when he’s a grump. They are truly angels. And there are many very nice residents that make NGV a nice place. No place is perfect and the communication could sometimes be better, but overall they get things taken care of and my dad is doing pretty well. It helps if the resident gets involved and socializes but sometime just one pal can make a difference. And if the family is able to visit often you will get to know if this is the right place. And I think it can be the right place for many folks.

Everybody there has been wonderful. During move-in day, there was not anyone to follow-up to see how things were going. They could do a better job with setting up an orientation for new residents. Other than that,everything else has been stellar. The food services and housekeeping staff has been outstanding. My loved ones is making friends, and meeting new people through the dining experience.

I toured this community and it was very nice. It's a small and intimate place. Definitely a more personal atmosphere.

Our loved one has recently moved in from a previous community and it already has been such a better experience. This facility, the staff members and the quality of care is so much better. The director [name removed] is always present. Every time we come to visit she always says hi and knows our names.

This facility is a great place, it really is. It's very friendly and homey. The staff is pretty good. The food is good quality and they have a good selection. Communication with the family is great. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Our moms assessment

My half-sister [name removed] is the resident, but we helped with the move-in and have dined there. All inclusive assisted living experience. The Promenade makes downsizing seamless.

There were no activities provided so we were very disappointed with that.

My husband was only here for a couple of days, but it was a lovely facility with lovely people. I went and toured a number of different facilities in the area and this one was by far the best for a reasonable price and the staff were just wonderful. It had also just been remodeled so it looked very nice.

From the first interview, the staff was concerned, caring and compassionate. They are always friendly and concerned about my mom's wellbeing. Also helpful to the family! Did not give a 5 as I have nothing to compare it to.

Palagio is perfect for Mom. She is happy and well cared for. Having Assisted Living and Memory Care in one place has elevated the level of engagement she is experiencing vs. just memory care only.

They do a really good job especially with what they have to work with. The staff are very responsive whenever we have a question or a concern, they have been great with communication and make a real effort. They could do a better job of cleaning in his bathroom. They also could use more vegetables on their menu. I would absolutely recommend Stuart Lodge Living to others looking

Glenbrooke at Palm Bay was a larger facility and just did not feel as personal. Since it was larger, we felt that it had more of an institutional feel to it. The tour was great and they followed up with us afterwards, it was just not the right fit for us.
