The staff at Shawnee Memory Care are simply wonderful and show by example their love and dedication to those patients they care for. The building is well taken care of and no offensive odor present but does have a refreshing smell about the place. The patients rooms are neat and clean giving a homing effect with patients personal things such as Tv, photos to hang on wall,etc. The meals they serve provide a tasty balanced meal to all patients. They offer occupational therapy classes to all who want to attend. They also have nurses around the clock and urge patients family and friends to visit frequently. Church services are offered on Sundays with different singing groups showing up to entertain patients frequently. I was only there a few weeks with my wonderful husband before he passed but came to love the staff at this wonderful establishment and recommend it highly. I told them I would choose them to take care of me if I ever was in need of such help

They are wonderful to work with and a very caring facility. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a place for a family member.

I would tell others to make sure they can afford it and that your family member really wants to move.

Wildwood canyon was like family to us. I enjoyed using them for respite care. They are very professional and treat you like family. We miss going there. My husband is in assisted living closer to home. The facility was nice and clean al the time

Unfortunately they just don't have enough staff. The little details of patient care were not attended to. Some care staff were more mindful of the details than others. The food was mediocre. The rooms were clean and spacious. The activities were varied and frequent- this was the best part of Desert Peaks.

I personally have not been there, but my daughter has with her father and everything that she has told me has been excellent , The care, the staff all in all the experience has been very pleasant, considering all the circumstances that we had to deal with to get him there so thank you

The staff is very invested in each member of the community. Extremely patient, warm, & willing to help at a moments notice with the little things such as turning the Chanel on the tv or stereo, picking up laundry on a day other that that residence day, making sure Mom gets to meals etc, & great at de-escalation of dementia exacerbations.

[name removed] is absolutely the best. She makes everyone feel right at home and is very caring. We picked Cedar Ridge because it fit our grandma the best. It is wooded and has a creek and horse farm right outside her window. All the staff is very friendly. Food is good. She has a private room that is very spacious.

The facility is well laid out, nice walking path to walk outside on. Staff are very friendly and informative. All of this information is based on the room my brother is in, i do not know ehat the other options look like. The living, dining, kitchen area are good, bedroom is a very nice size. With the bathroom right there with ample room to move around.

Very friendly, helpful and professional staff. Room sizes were from small to spacious. My mom chose the smallest and it was plenty for her. Trash was emptied multiple times a day, cleaning once a week. Choice to eat in dining room or in apartment.

No place is perfect but I have no serious issues with them. If a question about the operation or facility, or personnel comes to mind, tell the Director, [name removed], that you have a concern and would like to speak to her. Don't hesitate to speak with her. She is not intimidated by questions and is happy to discuss anything regarding CR. Her openness and willingness to take the time to sit down with us was a great confidence builder in the facility for us.

Everyone is very welcoming, staff and residents. Room size is good. Wish they had more art and crafts. They have several activities like bingo and games and my mom isn't into games. But that's not their fault.

The Weatherly Inn independent living is a wonderful community, the team cares about the residents and management has been a joy to work with. The community is nicely decorated and well kept, the residents are happy. I love to work with the residents and the great team at Weatherly!

We visited a number of different assisted living facilities when making a choice that would accommodate my mother‘s needs. Lone Oak impressed us far more than the others, both with the atmosphere of the facility and the obvious care that the directors and staff felt for the tenants. The apartments are relatively large compared to some that we had seen, and the inclusion of a partial kitchen is a feature that we did not see in many places. All of the residents that we saw seemed happy and engaged; we did not observe a lot of people just sitting around watching TV. Before making our decision, we were invited to have a meal in the dining room, and we were impressed with how good the food is. Since my mother‘s move-in, the staff have done everything they can to make her feel welcome and comfortable there, although this was complicated by an outbreak of influenza shortly after she came. She has settled in well and enjoys the opportunities to socialize with the other residents.

At home feeling and nice really caring staff always greeting me also signs here and there saying l, "You are loved", this means a lot to the tenants at older ages. At home atmosphere also contented happy residents. I would recommend. Very few retirement places in this area...I only know of one other place within 200 hundred miles

It has been a great place to work. Person centered care at its best. It’s like coming in and hanging out with family all day. Staff and residents both make this place what it is. Getting to see the staff care for our residents is humbling to see. The care and compassion that is given and the integrity to go above and beyond when no one is watching is the reason I got into this field. And the reason I choose to join the fields team.

I recommend The Landing as a safe, caring and friendly place to live. My MIL had lived in Roseburg and knew The Landing was being built. When she no longer could manage and maintain their home in Florence after my FIL passed, we toured The Landing. She liked it right away. There are lots of windows, natural light, beautiful natural wood in the interior, and friendly faces. Aging can be challenging with changes in independence and dementia. The staff are kind. I know this industry has a lot of turnover, but the staff were excellent. I observed some of the online orientation and training for new hires glad there was some. While an ALF is not the same as home, staff are caring and professional and I saw enough times how the staff communicated together to help the residence and keep them safe. Other awarenesses, my MIL was a vegetarian and there were times the food offerings were not very interesting to her. My MIL liked to go places, but was not safe to drive. She would have preferred more/varied weekly shuttle outing-activities. She was not open to a hired caregiver that could have driven her to shops, or getting her nails done to give her more normal social life. Ask more detailed questions about available transportation if you are not available to go to medical appointments, etc. There is not enough parking for staff, residence and guests combined. My MIL did have a POLST on her refrigerator, and the few times 911 was called, no one took a copy of the POLST. Took me awhile to figure this out. But a DNR at the ALF does not translate to a hospital as an order- they need the POLST. I hope the staff know this now. Over all, The Landing provided amazing care and safety to my MIL for several years and through Memory Care with Hospice.

The staff are incredible! We were helped and guided through this transition. The kitchen and cleaning staff are caring good people. Management people are wonderful. Awesome experience.

We moved my very reluctant dad into the Grove 2 months ago. We have no regrets. The staff arranged for him to have a designated table from day 1 so he wouldn't have to figure out where to sit. Luckily enough, that group was welcoming and he looks forward to dining with them at every meal. About meals - the dining room has small tables that seat from 2 to 6 or 8. They are set with cloth napkins and glassware. The food is made to order. There is an auxiliary menu to order from if one doesn't want the main entree. Fresh fruit and snacks are always available in the common area. There is a huge variety of activities, trips to the opera and fishing, candy bingo and a screened in porch. Meals, weekly laundry and light cleaning are included in the monthly fee. My brother and I were very worried that Dad would be miserable with the move, but knew he needed to be with other people on a daily basis. Dad is happier than he has been in years and his friends and family definitely notice!

There is a very caring staff that works hard to accommodate my Mom’s needs. The activity director does an excellent job of including her in activities and assisting her to enjoy them. The physical therapist has also made a special effort to give my Mom personsl service and accommodate my Mom’s schedule preferences.
