Staff is untrained and uneducated. It feels like they grab anyone off the street. Staff call in sick all the time and are not covered so residents go unattended. If there is an issue it is ALWAYS the residents fault and the family must solve the issue as they have NO experience or interest in assisting the elderly. They behave as if they are doing you a favor letting your loved one stay there. You will pay for all the promised services and receive only the fraction they are willing to squeeze out. Oh and I know the response will be call [name removed]-who will say he is looking into it and will never follow up or solve the problem. The care team leadership acts superior and can't be bothered with even the smallest issue because once again if there is an issue it is the families problem not theirs. This place is a disgrace and we are so happy to have saved our loved one from their disaster.

Be very careful ! You have to stay on top of the staff and make sure they are taking care of your loved ones. The staff gives the appearance they are attentive when you are there. You need to check on your loved one EVERYDAY to make sure they are properly cared for. There was food behind my loved ones bed, they give them medication to make them sleep ALL day. This will cause pressure sores. Do not take your loved ones to the facility

The Assistive Living for our daughter has gone from very nice, four years ago to horrible. The aids use vulgar language. Have earbuds in their ears while "attending" to our daughter. They can't hear her and have a don't care attitude. When she complains to the management it comes back to her and the aids threaten that they won't help her or work with her etc. There are employees who refuse to care for her. I call it bullying. It's difficult for me to see our loved one go through this. The stress she is going through is affecting her health. On one visit, my husband and I noticed fecal matter in her sink and a pan with dirty wash water and cloth on her computer desk. Filthy.

As family members of a loved one at this home-for-the-aged, we give our lowest rating possible. The owner, regional director and even the state, have refused to take action to protect our loved ones. Sufficient personal & medical care is unacceptable. Trained & professional staffing is barely existent. Social activity is poor. Many residents have left or are planning to leave this private-pay-home in the last couple of months. All we can do now is let others know it looks good when you tour, but isn't basic care more important?

This facility is quite new & very modern with opportunity for a wonderful place for the elderly. But the sad part is basic care and social activity is compromised. Staff do not show up for work and constantly being replaced. They are not qualified or given proper training. Social life is very sparse and many residents stay in there rooms even when activities are scheduled. Residents & families keep bringing up these issues but management has no interest in resolving issues. Sad to say broken promises continue after 2 years.

Looks Good, but appearances can also be a "red flag" . The staff do not know what they are doing, what meds they are giving or what the potential side effects of their actions are. Was told by a previous employee to "get {our family member} out of there as fast as we can".

My mother was a resident in the Independent Living Section. This section includes a daily check by the staff if the resident doesn't check in first. My mother was [Removed] in her bed with a broken collarbone and no one checked on her. I found her four days later and rushed her to the hospital. The staff never noticed she hadn't check in. We trusted Commonwealth Senior Living to check in her every day as promised so she could maintain her independent life. They failed to do what they promised.

I regret to admit that I have had a loved one in this facility for over nine years. The cost and location drove this decision. But....I can no longer ignore the deterioration of the quality of services. The place has become increasingly shabbie and unwelcoming. It is dirty and cluttered. Care Giver Staff is constantly changing and rude to my face..that is when they are not running the other way when I enter the building. It is impossible to get accurate information from them regarding status of my loved one. I can't get to know them because they usually do not have on name tags. Clothes continue to go missing, as laundry must be too difficult for them to process. These are the people responsible for proper care and dispensing of drugs. They are lazy and disinterested. Except for a very few which is the reason I have tolerated this situation for this long. I am tired of revisiting the same complaints. As disruptive as it might be to change residences; I think the time has come. Please do not place your family member in this awful home.

Think before you put your love one in this place. The Cna's are great and very friendly. But the Executive Director., And Sweet Memory Director. Are so rude if you need to talk with them they just blow you off. They spend all day in the Executive Director's office with the door closed and when it's open they talk to the staff really badly. They are very unprofessional in my opinion, My mother has been living there a very long time and I have never seen the building so bad. When you talk to head of t maintenance he looks at you like your stupid and does nothing about the problem. When you call cooperate They say sorry and they will look into it.

Not a good place for your loved one lots of false advertising. Home cooked meals I don't think so. They would be lucky if it was hot. Had alot of problems with the LPN at the facility. Don't trust her tried to befriend my mother. Kept trying to explain to my mom she is not your friend that this is a business relationship. Had a lot of experiences with the residents and confrontations between them and staff was never around. My father somehow got ahold of a fire extinguisher and sprayed a large area of the facility. They then recommend he go to a facility to be reevaluated for 5-7 days. That turned into 16 days on his discharge date they informed my mother he could not return. The social worker tried numerous times to contact them that day and they would not return her phone calls. For the two weeks both Brian and Celeste assured my mom he was welcome to return. Now they informed her she has been to pay the additional 30 days for her notice that is stated in the contract she signed. Take some good advice and find a more reputable assisted living facility.

My father lived & died here. He suffered from Alzheimer's & died a horrible death. Golden Orchards is very proud that they use the montesorri approach, which is fine until the patient gets near the end. Take your loved ones to a skilled nursing center instead! Near the end, when hospice recommend they be sedated for their own comfort, Golden Orchards balked, & refused to administer calming drugs. Instead, they shut the patients door & leaves them alone! I personally witnessed one of the staff stating to another staff member that they finally just had to shut my father in his room, as he was so agitated he was constantly getting up & down. He fell 7 times in one day! Alarms were supposed to be put on his bed & wheelchair to alert staff if he tried to get up. They were put on his bed, however, batteries were not installed! Food is terrible! One day, he was given a cold pork chop & piece of bread for lunch. Being short staffed ALWAYS, personal items are constantly BORROWED by other residents. This means that personal items, so essential for the patient's comfort, cannot be brought, as they WILL be lost. My father's $150 therapeutic shoes disappeared within days of being purchased. Promises are made & not kept. Phone calls are never returned! DON'T be fooled by how lovely this place is - your loved one will not be cared for properly! They say what you want to hear to get your business, then never follow through. We were told transportation was available for my mother to visit, it was not. They said they could provide back-up transportation if necessary, it was not! They say that skilIed nursing is available which means that you are paying extra for a RN to stop by & check once a day. There is only one RN on staff, who is also the assistant director. They say they have all these activities. However, 1 activity person (who had never worked in that capacity) was trying to fill 3 activity jobs, with no experience or training. I worried EVERY day that my father was being at best ignored, at worst mistreated, but since location was critical, our choices were limited. Also with Alzheimer's, they recommend you not keep moving your loved one from place to place, as it causes them great distress, so once you're there, they've got you! Wish I had moved my dad from there before his death.

I think my family toured Whispering Woods Memory Care several times over 2 years. We loved the lay out and it seemed that the residents were always in activities that we could see our mom liking. We admitted her in early January and she remained a patient until early March when we finally found another memory care facility. We found that we continued to like the things that sold us on the tour like the layout and the activities. It was the lack of care that the residents received was not only disappointing but down right neglectful. Not all but most of the care givers are lazy and feel threatened by frequent visitors. On several occasions the care givers were rude! The care givers spend a lot of time on their phones or talking with each other. The communication shift to shift is non existent. My mother had a man that was a care giver one day and then maintenance staff the next. After my mother was in her new facility I sent a letter to the management as to why we left. The management never followed up on the letter.

Pretty sad when the med tech who dispenses meds couldnt tell me what my moms meds were or what they were prescribed for. When i asked her if she realized her diagnosis or knew she answered me with "i dont know whats wrong with your mom...nobody told me anything". Actually I feared for moms safety.

I was there in Bldg. 3 for about 3 months. Not much inter-activity with anyone help wise or residents. Had large room and large bathroom, overlooking pond that was about the only thing nice about it. But the bad things are the carpet was filthy, never cleaned thoroughly less than 5 minutes twice a week, bathroom was attempted 5 days a week to clean. Very poor at dispensing medications and ordering, never knew from one day to the next what I would be getting and when. Food was poor cold and not much variety. Dining Room was very dirty, did finally get a new refrigerator but cupboards filthy, short on dishes, glasses and silverware, dishwasher broke, kitchen sink don't hold water, oven filthy, faucets reverses, trash overflowing most of the time, floor very stick most of the time, chairs broken legs falling off, arms missing with screws sticking out. Dining staff not much help very lazy, didn't do much and didn't help residents and ate food. Didn't have enough food for residents sometimes. Dining room by TV is quite a hang out for staff to goof off lots, use to be the main lobby. Didn't follow-up on complaints when I mentioned them to try to improve the place that I gave a list. Never had supplies in dining room. Overall the place was very dirty, dilapidated , under paid staff that complained always, big turn over of help, building was not secure anybody could walk in anytime. Slow response on pull cords. Outside appearance could use help especially the filthy looking ponds, which could be beautiful if kept up and the flowers and bushes. I would never return here if I had a choice.

Residents need companions or aides for 7pm to 7am due to staffing issues with the level of care for certain residents. The residents calls for help or bells will not be responded to quickly if any during these hours due to aides assisting in giving showers and putting to bed making the the aides unavailable for any other resident in the community as there are no nurses or lpns present on site during these hours. There is no management during these hours only two aides or three and one must pass meds to the entire community. This was the case a month ago need to verify yourself that it is not the case if you are considering

POOR! Do not make the mistake of placing a loved one here. No trained care on staff. Out of touch administrative persons. Do not follow through with the care they promise because they are not equipped to do so. Only one building is decent. The other facilities are broken down and in poor repair. Care personnel yell a lot and look slovenly. I could never find any one in charge either. This makes me choose a star rating.......I feel it deserves zero stars

My mom lived there for 7 months and the only good thing I have to say is the nursing staff was great. My mom was personal care. When she passed away within less then a week they emptied out her apt and threw all her belongings into an empty apt. It was very disrespectful and they rented out her room in less then a week before we could get there to collect her belongings. She passed We had the funeral then went to collect her belongings. It was a very emotional time and they made it even harder plus they are suing me..a single mom for the money my mom owed..I would never recommend them..very fake.. pretending to care but it all comes down to money
