Commonwealth Senior Living

My mom chose it because of the location and because she had friends who highly recommended it. My mom has been at Commonwealth for a year now and she LOVES it. There is always something to do and someone to be with if you want to be social. She enjoys spending time with the other residents and has made many new friends. But if she desires to be by herself, she can stay in her beautiful and comfortable apartment. There was no enormous entrance fee or long term contract. You are basically just paying month to month as needed. The facility is clean and beautifully decorated. There are many common areas to sit with friends. Meals are healthy and delicious. They are accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences. Staff is friendly and caring. As her daughter who lives out of town, I feel very good about my mom living there, knowing there are people who will check on her and are available to help if needed. Overall, my mom and our family are very happy that she is living at Commonwealth / Stratford House.

I highly recommend them in all categories. My husband has been there over a year and he receives wonderful care.

Commonwealth was incredible! We couldn't have asked for more amazing staff members. My dad had unique needs but they were so kind and gentle with him. They showed him so much respect and maintained his dignity until the end. And then, they hugged us as they cried with us. We knew he felt nothing but love the whole time he was there.

What we like the most about the community is the friendly staff, and my aunt is happy there. We would definitely recommend the Commonwealth Senior Living community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Facility is newly renovated and very nice. Mom is very well cared for and I am notified immediately of any concerns the staff has. She participates in the activities and seems to enjoy the fellowship with others.

We love the activities department and its staff as well as the food service. Overall we are satisfied.

What we like the most about Commonwealth Senior Living is that the staff are always helpful if you need anything and always cleaning. Yes, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on our experience.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They are patient, and they will answer all of your questions without making you feel rushed or unimportant. They provide regular updates on your family member. They call whenever their is a concern or injury with your family member. I am very satisfied with the care that my uncle is receiving. The staff regularly evaluates the residents' health and personal needs. The food looks and smells good. I haven't eaten anything there. Lots of activities, and they let you know what your family member participates in those activities. They also have activities in which family members can participate with their resident.

We chose Commonwealth Senior Living at Leigh Hall because of the openness of the facility. It didn't seem seem like a skilled facility or assisted facility… It was more in line with what we were looking for. And at time of admission staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. FOOD has been excellent. One has gained friends and weight since being there. Staff is good now too. We have been pleased with the experience so far.

The staff is wonderful. They are truly angels. They love their residents and truly desire to take the best care of them.

It was a smaller community that made it much easier for the resident to get around. They had great activities. Staff is very caring and helpful. They have great patience.

Like all facilities there is always a shortage of staff, especially nights. Administration staff is great! Kind caring and accommodating to needs. Whenever we have a concern, those concerns are met as soon as possible. One problem I've seen is the roomand especially bath room was not well cleaned. I gave gone several times and cleaned the room and bathroom myself. Again, shortage of staff i am sure. Mother is confined to wheelchair , therefore it is difficult for her to keep room neat, tidy and clean, due to lack of mobility. All and all, we are satisfied.

My husband stayed for 14 days. I was nervous about leaving him at first but the staff made him feel extremely comfortable. I had family members visit him when I was away and each one stated that he was in good spirits each time they visited.

It was close to home. When we toured the facility it was so clean. The cost was much better than the others near us.

Commonwealth Senior Living is a very nice place. Even though my loved one would rather be at home, he has adjusted here.

I give them all a 5! This has been a wonderful experience and my mom LOVES living there! She loves the activities. This week a preschool class came to visit. My mom read a Pumpkin book and another resident helped them make pumpkin crafts. Every week they have Bible study, preaching, singing, games, special musicians, movie night, special snacks. She loves all of the special programs. She also loves sitting on the porch talking to the other residents or sitting in a common area working a puzzle. If she wants to be with people, all she needs to do is step out into a common area. If she's ready to be by herself and read a book, she returns to her apartment. It's absolutely the best of both worlds. The food is also good and offers a nice variety. It's very clean and nicely decorated. The staff is so friendly and helpful, always ready to give a hand. The cost is reasonable and there is no upfront investment. You simply pay month to month. Overall it's been a wonderful transition. Our family also has a peace of mind that she's being cared for.

Everyone was very nice and professional. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the help I need. I am not able to keep mom much longer about to lose job and everything i own because of her situation.

I've been pleased at the condition of my father who is at Churchland House. It's not the same as someone who is there to just take care of him, but that's the nature of an assisted living facility.
