Cedarhurst Living LLC

I am so grateful that Tesson Heights exists. It has become home for my parents who left their home of 40+ years just six weeks ago. Their apartment is spacious enough to allow them to have brought some of their favorite furnishings, but it's not so big that they find getting around tiring. The common facilities are spotless and homey, and the dining room is as nice as any restaurant. I hear the food is excellent. It's so nice to see my parents finally living a life free of the concerns of household maintenance. It's the best move we could have made.

Every member of the staff, starting with the Director of Marketing was very helpful to us. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, including our special needs sons. My mom is having increasing problems with confusion and the staff have been very helpful to her in explaining things. They are friendly and they also do an excellent job of giving the care that the residents need. It is very much like a family atmosphere.

Mom was needing more supervised care after five years in an assisted living facility near us that was did not have nurses full time. I was becoming overwhelmed with the responsibility of helping to care for her now as her Alzheimer's was progressing. As I searched for a new place both facilities that seemed most appropriate were owned by the same company. We choose Christina Place after a visit together. Mom was great about the move and joined right in on the activities even as we moved her. The staff are caring and interested in helping Mom live a active and fulfilled life.

We searched a while before finding Hidden Lake and we're very impressed. The cost vs. the type of environment were the best we found. The staff is very helpful, the place is new and clean. There are some snags because everyone is new, but overall it's been great. I would be great if they did more outings (like weekly shopping to the near by Publix and Kroger). Mom complains about some of the means, saying there is too much salad and not much choice.

My husband was diagnosed with end stage liver disease and put on hospice care. I work and was unable to care for him at home. I called A Place for Mom and was immediately helped by Melissa Simpson. She found Hidden Lake Assisted Living. The entire staff of Hidden Lake is amazing! I have been truly blessed to have found them to take care of my husband Rob. I especially would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Sara, Karen and Brian. They have made this difficult time for me much easier.

Don was very impressed with the facility and with Rhonda... Price was deceiving at first...starts at $80/day does not including nursing services.

Very helpful staff and a beautiful facility! When I need to move my Mother this will be one of the top choices.

I had scheduled apt had to cancel sick. Was expensive but Kristiana promised to beat other facilities prices.Assisted and Independant. Restaurant style 2 meals 9-6 Capital

My mother wanted to stay in the Affton, Missouri area. Although she has only been their a week, we can all tell she is happy and satisfied with being at Tesson Heights. It seems to be a good fit for our mother.

It's a smaller community with more specialized care. They work one on one with the residents. When I call they always know what's going on with my dad and can tell me up to date news of things I need to know. He was in another place before and this is a much better experience. He's much happier there. It's nice and secure. From what the other place told me, they couldn't handle him and Autumn Hills is doing great with him so I don't see what the problems were.

Really like the feel of this place and they said they are getting skilled care set up there within a year...this place would be so close to me

This one is closest to our house and according to the packet, will meet the needs of my mother right now and possibly in the future. I toured back in the fall and really liked the place. I will make a contact again in the future when a decision has to be made. My wife's mother is not able to be in assisted living at the present time.

We really like how close in proximity Cedarhurst of Waterloo is to our family and comparing it to other places we had looked at we just preferred what we saw at this community. Our loved one does not always eat the meals there but from what we have seen they looked to be really good and based on our experience we have had so far we would recommend Cedarhurst to other families looking into a place for their loved ones

I toured this facility and it's very nice! They have a lot to offer, staff is friendly, great place. It's a little more expensive than some of our other options.

Overall it has been a good experience. There have a been a couple of minor issues with a caregivers being unhelpful here and there.. But overall it seems like a nice atmosphere. I got to know the place having several different relatives there. They have a pretty good reputation, and our experience has been in line with that.

It is not a huge facility which we really like, it has more of that intimate setting to it. The admissions director [name removed] reached out to us a lot before and after the tour, we really appreciated all of the follow ups. We were very impressed with how much she focused on what we wanted for our loved one. So excellent first impression. The staff before our loved noe moved in would even email our loved one telling him how excited they were that he was coming - they have continued to be very welcoming. We have been able to get well acquainted with the head of nursing so anytime we have questions we can get her a call and she is always there to address our concerns. The meals and dining service is very good and even though our loved one does not always participate in activities they have a ton to offer. Our loved one is in the best place that he could be

We chose Cedarhurst because of the value for the money and also the location is great for our big family. The sales lady that we worked with was wonderful and made everything much easier. They have just turned over management companies within the last year and they have made many upgrades and it looked much nicer. They serve breakfast all day and have some neat things with their menu. They were actually on the news about how good their food is, my parents absolutely love it. Everyone here is extremely friendly. I like that they are in between independent and assisted living so if need be they can move up levels of care. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

This is a community you should checkout for your loved one. This has been a great experience for us so far. The staff are wonderful to work with, and they take notes to make sure all the staff know about what is going on with my loved one. They are good at trying to get my loved one engaged in activities. There is physical therapy and speech therapy on site. The food has been good for my loved one, and the times I've had a chance to eat with my loved one has been good for me as well.
