My Sister is enjoying Keizer Ridge even though it's not home. This is her new home and she has her poodle [name removed] which all the residents absolutely Love. They have a new activity director that's doing lots of fun activities which my sister enjoys participating in. So far we've happy with most of the care she receives and the friends she's made.

The staff is caring and supportive. I appreciate are of the knowledge they have and reassuring to me. Care giving is not an easy job and they do it well. I think it is helpful that the caregivers are consistent and there isn't a lot of movement among personnel. I wish there were move activities that my sister would like to do. (i.e. gardening). She's not much for arts and crafts or coloring or watching TV. Overall we're pleased.

When choosing the right place for my loved one I tried to ask all of the important questions. More than simply price & quality of care but annual increase, the happiness of current residents and on staff qualifications and employee satisfaction. I'd imagine finding qualified employees is a challenge for the industry in general. But the elderly require extra patience, empathy & understanding. Fieldstone struggles with turnover, which affects residents directly. But is this industry wide? I'd imagine the answer is yes but a smaller company should be able to mitigate this better than a conglomeration. The annual price increase shared with me prior to move in was 3%-6%. Thus far, increases were 12% for 2023 & 9% for 2024. Fieldstone explained this with, 'in order to maintain quality of the food & retain employees' yet food quality has waned & several employees have left. Food that was free (in the Skylounge) is no longer & Gerald's dining room food has gone down in quality, consistency & portion size. Despite everything, the residents remain happy & the general environment of Fieldstone Silverdale is bright & caring. From word of mouth, the food (it's a big deal for residents) is still better than most of the surrounding area's other options. Finding the right place for your parents is difficult. There is no perfect answer or facility. Fieldstone does try and for that I am grateful.

We have been very pleased with my husband's care over the last 6 months. The caregivers are very good and the admin & nursing are responsive to my concerns. The dietary manager has gone above beyond to please my husband. I would like to see more life enrichment things that include exercise and getting my husband involved. Select Therapy is a godsend.

I would say this place is a very nice place to live. It is clean, staff is good to go, the residents are nice, the food is mostly quite good. I would highly recommend Heatherwood to anyone. One caveat is that the rent is expensive, but the services provided make it worth the money to me.

As with probably all facilities family must be frequent visitors to check on the care of their family member - we've had to address issues with management that we saw because we are there frequently. With that said - I would recommend the facility to others. I believe our mom is safe and secure and getting good care.

We are pleased with the community and Mom's experience, and recommend it. The general staff have been wonderful, especially since there seems to be the bare minimum. The new owners and management is an improvement. The prior did more for the employees for activities than the paying residents.I think the meals are good! Mom is not a fan but we think it is good that they don't salt and spice things up!!There is a garden but one resident controls it. Would be nice to share a community garden somehow as many residents seem to enjoy and miss gardening. We have nothing but past homes and lives to compare to. Our family feels comfortable having our loved one here. The rest is up to the residents attitude.

It is a wonderful place and I would highly recommend it. My mother-in-law is very picky and she loves it there, even though she does have a few complaints, but they are mainly her own issues at play, and she would have those anywhere. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They will transport you to doctor visits and have errands scheduled, such as Walmart trips weekly. They also have trips to the zoo, the movies, the mall, etc., and lots of activities at Heatherwood.

I would definitely recommend them. I think our only issues come from us as much as from them. What I mean by that is, I had a couple of issues with my mom not taking her medicine. I had asked them to remind her or to check on if she was taking it. But I think I need to just ask them to administer it the next time and that way she won't miss doses. I need to communicate her needs and our wishes more effectively. I also need to take more things from home for her so she feels more at home (like her recliner). They didn't have a comfortable chair for her to sit in to watch tv. And I also need to set up a more specific activity plan and meal routine for her because she didn't want to impose on them and then wouldn't ask for what she needed or wanted. But again, that's more on us. The only complaint I think I heard my mom say was that if she requested food in her room it was usually cold when she got it. And sometimes it took them a while to get to her when she called. But those are things I think to be expected because they can't drop everything when she calls. They have others they are attending to as well. I will say that the staff are super nice. I think they would be a 5 in all areas if they had more staff to cover everything. I think those that are there are doing the best they can. My mom will most likely be going there again. I fully expect or at least hope that her next visit will go better because she now knows what to expect and hopefully will speak up more for herself and do more things with her friends. I think what is hard for my mom is that she is in a wheelchair and is more dependent and that's why she didn't want to always ask them to take her here or there. But I told her, that's what they're there for.

[name removed] was there 6 days and then went to the hospital and never returned. The Village was as good as they could be under the circumstances. In my opinion [name removed]should not have been accepted into assisted living. I will say with the challenges we faced with [name removed]they helped the best they were able. I put N/A on 6 because he never was able to be involved with activities to my knowledge.

I love it here. I would recommend it to my friends I chose this primarily, because if I need to change from independent to assisted living, I can stay in my same apartment we have a restaurant open from 7 AM to 7 PM and a bar and grill open from 11 AM to 7 PM. My children are just as happy as I amto be staying here

It didn't have the look and feel of a care facility (nursing home). It felt more like a place where her would have more freedom to move around. The activities also was a big factor. He was very bored at home and needed other things to do and people to do it with.Residents are well taken care of. They get a lot of one on one attention.

I spent 6 months living at Fieldstone Cooper Point in Olympia. I was comfortable and enjoyed the caregivers and staff. My reason for leaving was to move closer to my family. The Assisted living community I moved to is much like Fieldstone. Friendly staff members who address everyone, including the residents by first name—— always with a smile on their faces. Fieldstone staff on a whole are slightly younger but appear to be well trained and caring. They work together well and respect each resident as individuals. The two young women who co-ordinate activities at Fieldstone are energetic and enthusiastic and fun to be around. Weekly we had 2 Bingo games, a " Bucket List “ Travel Log, a special seasonal craft session, on Thursday afternoons they have an outside musical group perform (usually with a yummy snack, treat and beverage from the kitchen), often during the week they have an ice cream social, and perhaps an outside speaker. Besides all that there are usually 2 movies shown every day. Unlike most assisted living communities I'm aware of Fieldstone does not have set hours for meals. Their dining room is like a restaurant. They have an interesting menu from which you can order what you would like for meals. The dining room is open from 7:30am until 7:00pm. I found it very nice to be able to eat when I felt like eating. I was surprised to find I generally ate only twice a day. I would recommend Fieldstone Cooper Point to most anyone I know.

Fieldstone works hard at trying to offer loving care for their residents. Sometimes it seems that they are short staffed for the number of residents needing help, as we have to wait for several minutes to get help with a need. The activites coordinator does a fantastic job creating fun and active games. Activities for residents, always providing refreshments afterward. Meds are always delivered in a timely manner. Fieldstone provides a friendly and loving environment. Thank You!!
