This place is not equipped to handle functional Alzheimer patients. My father lasted one night before I was called to pick him up or stay with him! This is a place that is supposed to be skilled with handling dementia residents. Clearly their employees need some training. They are very, very insensitive. When you register with them, the sales person and director makes it seem like they are so interested in your situation, but really it's all about the money. Please, please look at other facilities before choosing this one.

I had an unfortunate encounter with a staff member at this facility. It took place in the presence of three residence, possibly a fourth. The entire scenario should have never happened on many levels. While the corporate office in Louisville was very professional and apologetic I still can’t bring myself to recommend any of their properties.

This is not a place I would want my loved ones I worked there for many years and only stayed because I wanted to be sure that residents were ok at least on days I worked. Should really think twice before putting anyone there.

We had nothing but terrible experiences here. They assured us they could take care of Mom, but that was NOT the case. One day we got a call from a family who had found Mom in a Burger King where some good samaritan had driven her when they found her wandering around near a busy highway. Mom had on a device that sets off an alarm if she leaves, and when we picked her up from the family that called us and brought her back in, sure enough, the alarm went off. We waited for a few minutes to see if anyone was even paying attention, and eventually we had to go try and find some staff, and they were all in the dining hall having a meeting of some kind. They had completely missed the alarm twice. We moved her out that day, and demanded the money we had paid back (which they did not want to give, but did eventually). They were chronically understaffed, and the workers just seemed like they hated their jobs.
