They are very clean. The value is about average for what I saw. I would say the food is a 3.

This community was more expensive in rent than we wanted to spend.

This clean community is up on the side of a hill. It just did not seem like a friendly place. You have to already have an established doctor as it is hard to get a doctor over there. The ceiling was not high enough by the pool table to play.

My mother isn't totally satisfied with the fact she is now living in a retirement community, but with some time I'am hoping she becomes more adjusted to it. This is an older facility, but for the most part they do a good job with keeping everything nice and clean. The staff is nice and friendly. They are treating her very well. The food has been a little disappointing. Overall they are caring for her well, so I would recommend it.

The team seems hands off and not helping with some basics some senior don't pay attention to or not sure how to work. Example, keeping the room temperature at a level that senior is use to. And simple tasks like checking in several times a shift and opening curtains to let sun into the room.

We actually moved mom to another facility. There was a lot of staff turnover including the executive director which was a concern and the meals definitely need improvement. They do have some great aides!

I toured this facility and it was ok. Friendly staff and clean environment.

Good community, with less choices for meals.

The staff is very friendly and they have activities for the residence to participate in. I feel that they are understaffed and the food used to be better when we first moved our loved one in. I would say this community is adequate.

I think it is a good place but for my parents it wasn't a good fit. I think that they make it appealing and affordable to get it there, but once they are there, they reassess , and raise the cost of care. They do not offer the medicaid spend down. It is a business and hard to balance people and profit. In my parents situations, my parents were both on dementia spectrum, and I believe had the assessment been more thorough on the front end, we could have had a better understanding of the cost and the support needed.

i would suggest keeping a close eye on follow up when you need to communicate. The staff are shorthanded. The caregivers seem pretty friendly but they don't have time to do little extra things for the residents, especially during the COVID lock down time. The food is pretty good and they offer variety but they serve small portions. They offer a few activities, like shopping trips and bingo.

We now have a new director. [Removed name] is wonderful and hopefully will do great things for this facility. Give Artesian Place a try.

Initially, I was absolutely thrilled the services my Mom was receiving here. The people were very friendly. However, during the holidays, my Mom fell a few times. The staff was supposed to be checking on her actively but they were not. We had to hire an additional caregiver and then found out that they had lost a lot of their staff. The directors were very kind and tried to do everything they could, but the last few weeks that my Mom was there things didn’t go well. There were a few medication issues, on top of everything else. I’m hoping that the complications we experienced were simply because of the staffing issues.

I thought that this community was very nice and they had a lot of great amenities that they offered there residents. I also noticed during my tour how well maintained and clean everything was kept. It was one of my top choices and actually fit perfect for my budget my husband just needed a lock down facility and more security with the doors for the memory care unit.

My husband has lived in his home for 8 months. It is a great clean friendly place. Happy, well run, caring people. He is happy and well cared for.

The care at this community was not what we were expecting, however our loved ones family member did not want to pay for the extra services she needed. Due to not having those extra services, the care she received was sub-par. The friendliness of the staff members were pretty good. We do think they charge to much for some of the things that are more basic.

When a medical problem happened there was no one there to assess my mom. During the day med techs are available but not nurses and I am not happy about that. The staff need more training and we won't go back. Otherwise it was great. The food was wonderful, she made friends, and they kept her busy in activities. There just needs to be a nurse to assess any medical situation.

Food is disgusting. No fresh food ever. Activities are a joke. Tired of coloring Staff does not follow through. Some of the staff care about us residents. Many don’t. Management is all about lip service, never listen to residents concerns. Housekeeping is not dependable. No transportation to dr appointments During Covid there’s no communication from management.
